Ashford & Simpson - Solid This is one of my favorite songs ever, and it is one of my favorite songs while growing up. My mother had Ashford & Simpson's "Solid" album which I basically grew up on. I was lucky to find the video through YouTube, and I decided to profile it for the CSV Throwback Video. Enjoy!

Neneh Cherry - Buffalo Stance Before Kelis, there was Neneh Cherry who Kelis was compared to early in her career."Buffalo Stance" was the breakthrough single from Cherry which was originally a B-Side single that blew up in a major way. "Buffalo Stance" went to #3 Pop/#30 R&B in 1989.

Ciara released "The Evolution". It featured the #1 R&B hit, "Promise" which featured a more sexy and alluring Ciara as we had never seen her before. "Promise" was so big that the King of R&B, R. Kelly himself jumped on the sizzling hot official remix. Produced by Polow Da Don , "Promise" featured Ciara's cooing and reminding us of 80s Prince. "The Evolution" went on to feature two more hit singles, "Like A Boy" and "Can't Leave 'Em Alone" featuring 50 Cent. Whether "The Evolution" was truly an evolution or not, I bet you can "Promise" you liked "Promise". Kelly Rowland's video for "Work (Put It In)" has surfaced, and this is my first time seeing it. I'm not sure if it had leaked previously but the video is pretty cool. Kelly Rowland - Work (Put It In) While we are all still awaiting Remy's response to Lil' Kim's diss, Remy is still facing trouble from two incidents this year which involved the rapper. The first being the accusations that she shot her best friend over missing money and the second being Remy being accussed of having five men assault a man in a club which left him with a shattered jaw. The judge has decided to adjourn the case until Jan 3rd.

Daily Roundup New Keyshia Cole Video Video Vixen: Keyshia Cole's premiere of her new video/single, "I Remember" will air on BET today on BET's "Access Granted". I originally posted the show airs on Dec 4th but that was a typo. I saw a glimpse of the video with Keyshia standing behind a black background. I'm not sure what the concept of the video is but I couldn't tell much from the little preview I saw. I do hope it tops the "Love" video because that is one of her best videos in my opinion thus far. Singer Avant has left Geffen Records (where he released four gold or platinum albums) and moved over to Capitol Records where he will release his new album in summer of '08. Ashanti There is sad news today in the world of Hip-hop as one half of the popular duo, UGK member Pimp C was found dead in bed at a Hollywood Hotel. The story is still developing at presstime. The sad news for Hip-hop doesn't stop as rapper Spice 1 was shot while sleeping in his car. The rapper was asleep in his car in the driveway of his car when he realized someone was standing outside the car. The assailant struck Spice 1 in the chest and fled the scene. The rapper is now listed in critical condition. My thing is what was he doing in his car sleep? When I first read the headline, I assumed he was on the streets or something but no he was in the driveway of his house. I hope this will teach Spice 1 to sleep in your house from now on. Even though your no safer in your house than you are outside, you are a bit more safer in the house. Get well!
