Jay Z claims he turned down an offer to perform at the Super Bowl next year and the NFL responded by offering a slot to Justin Timberlake. The question is will he invite Janet Jackson to perform? Remember the two famously performed(and stripped)in 2004 and it led to huge backlash and numerous fines for network CBS. I'm sure the censors will be in full effect as Justin performs. I would expect a PG rated show though from the former Disney star.  Female rapper, Khia(song: "My Neck My Back") has called out singer, K. Michelle over her Lupus disease diagnosis. To sum it up, Khia basically feels that K. Michelle's revelation is straight up bullshit. Who knows? K. Michelle has yet to respond. But she was however quick to respond to Joseline and Azealia Banks in the past. K. Michelle is known for getting the girls together but she met her match in Azealia Banks(the two fell out when plans to tour together fell through) and I think she'd certainly would meet her match...

Trina revealed through her social media today that she is in the studio with Tory Lanez. Based on the brief snippet, the song sounds nice and could be a potential single. Trina previously collaborated with Tory Lanez on "F Love" prior to Lanez blowing up. The song was really good and severely underrated. The song didn't garner the attention it deserved but its a little harder to push through the channels when your an independent artist. Speaking of Trina, I'm wondering what the hold up is on her sixth album. She needs to release it already! Dr. Dre was spotted in handcuffs after a man called the police citing that Dr. Dre was seen brandishing a gun. Dr. Dre was not arrested. A man has been arrested for touching Justin Timberlake in the face at a golf game. Justin breezed past the man and the man rubbed his hand against Justin's face. It was a bizarre act but maybe the man was fanning out! Who knows!

Mariah Carey has been bringing out surprise guests during her stint in Las Vegas. Just last week she brought out John Legend for an intimate lap dance for her hit single, "Touch My Body". Just a few days ago Mariah brought out none other than Blac Chyna which I thought was pretty random. I guess! Who do you think Mariah will bring out next? Congratulations are in order for Jill Scott who got married this weekend! Suge Knight is suing Chris Brown for saying his lack of security is the reason why he got shot 5 times. Chris Brown's ex manager has spoken out and says they quit because Chris was "irrational" and "on drugs". No surprise there! Justin Timberlake faced a backlash after Jesse Williams' BET acceptance speech. He has since apologized for his words which stated "we are all one" or something along those lines. Rihanna's album, "Anti" is number one again! The album spends its second non consecutive week at the top spot. Also Rihanna's single, "Work" is number one for four weeks. Usher wants his ex-wife Tameka Raymond to drop his last name. Especially if and when he remarries. The ex-wife of Usher is currently starring on VH1's Atlanta Exes and when asked about the show, Usher says he hasn't seen it and doesn't plan on it. As we can see Tameka is a wack job with bad makeup. Meanwhile Usher is said to be releasing a new album sometime in the near future. But only if he can get one of his songs to do moderately well will we get that album. So is Justin Timberlake's background singer his mistress? Well that's the word on the street. The two are rumored to be awfully close.

And as we move into February tidbits to upcoming projects are starting to be revealed. Now on to some more music news. It's been reported that Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis is in the studio with Mary J. Blige. This is the first bit of news we've received in regards to Mary J. Blige as she records her new album which is slated to be released this year. Mary had a nice little run with her Christmas album A Mary Christmas now bring on a full length studio album! Speaking of new albums, Justin Timberlake just collaborated with T.I. on a track that will appear on his new album Paperwork . And speaking of JT the singer was a no show at this years Grammy where he won multiple awards. I'm assuming JT had another commitment cause usually he is at every awards ceremony where he is nominated.

Kelis has been out of the spotlight for awhile. Now the singer is back shooting a video for her new single Jerk Ribs , which leaked out this past Summer. She is also shooting a video for another single titled Rumble . I'm personally hoping Kelis goes back to her Urban stylings that she's abandoned with her last few albums. I think she shins the best as an Urban artist. Just saying! The Weeknd is going on tour with Justin Timberlake. The Canadian born singer will be supporting his newest album Kiss Land in stores and online now. The tour stars this Wednesday November 6 at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

Chris Brown will release his new album X on November 19. The album will feature appearances and production from Pharrell, Kelly Rowland, Brandy, Wiz Khalifa, Nicki Minaj( Love More ), Polow Da Don, and more. We all know Chris Brown has pushed his album back continuously, not as much as Ashanti's pushed hers back but will he sale that's the question? I think Chris will sale decently. He usually sells decent numbers in the long run. I've liked pretty much all the songs he's released thus far from X so I will likely check it out! Speaking of new albums Justin Timberlake released his new album The 20/20 Experience Part 2 , a sequel to his album released earlier this year. The album is already said to sell over 500K in its first week making it an obvious #1 album next week. Looks like September is the next month where we will see a Super Tuesday. Tuesday being the day that new music releases are generally released. This is of course if the release dates stick. As far as R&B releases are concerned these release dates are subject to change. Still you can get an idea of what's to be released. One R&B singer that has been out of the limelight for awhile is Mario. Mario will release his new album on September 17. The working title has been Restoration though I'm not sure if that's still the title at press time. His current single Somebody Else featuring Nicki Minaj is bubbling under the Hot 100 charts. The video clip to the song is a little eerie if you ask me. You'd have to check it out to see what I mean if you haven't watched it already. I am glad Mario is back though. His new album The 20/20 Experience will debut at #1 with 968,000 copies in its first week. The album features the hit single Suit & Tie featuring Jay-Z and the newly released single and video Mirrors . Chris Brown has revealed a little info regarding his new album X due this Summer. The album will feature the first single Fine China which was co-written by Brown, Eric Bellinger(worked with Brandy) and Sevyn Streeter(worked with Fantasia). The single and video are said to premiere on April 1. Kendrick Lamar, J-LO(who Chris Brown is working on new music with for her album), and Rihanna are said to appear on the new album.

Mirrors is the second single and video from Justin Timberlake's new album The 20/20 Experience . The album is set to debut at #1 next week with an estimated 600K copies in the first week. Congrats JT!

Hello all! It's been a slow weekend for news but I always manage to come through for you all. There's just two days till the release of the new Justin Timberlake album The 20/20 Experience . Already the singer plans to release a sequel to the album in November(just in time for the Holidays of course). The sequel will include 10 more tracks and possibly more music with Jay-Z. The singer has been hinting on the news during his recent promo run which included 106 & Park , Jimmy Fallon , and SNL . The 20/20 Experience features the first hit single Suit & Tie featuring Jay-Z and the previously leaked track Mirrors . iTunes had a free stream of the album and a few days ago the album leaked online.

Music news alert! Justin Timberlake just announced his joint tour with Jay-Z. To add to that he will be appearing on SNL on March 9. His new album The 20/20 Experience will be released on March 19. Speaking of new albums producer Rico Love(worked with Brandy) will be working on the new Monica album. The producer recently made the announcement on the radio. It will be the follow up to her 2012 album New Life.
