I'm sure the surprise appearance will air this season on "American Idol". John Legend and his wife have announced that they are with child. This is the first child for both. Congrats! Rita Ora says she wanted to remake "Lady Marmalade" made famous by Patti LaBelle complete with Charli XCX, Miley Cyrus, and Iggy Azalea. Iggy immediately responded and said she wants no part of the collaboration! Besides "Lady Marmalade" was already covered in the past by Pink, Missy Elliott, Lil' Kim, Christina Aguilera, and Mya. Not to say that it can't be made again but the whole idea orchestrated by Rita Ora was a very random thought. Maybe they all should try remaking a song that hasn't been remade yet. What do you think? "GLORY" ROAD: Congratulations to Common and John Legend. The duo won an Oscar last night for Best Original Song for "Glory". I watched some of the Oscar awards but not much of it. I felt funny because I wasn't familiar with any of the movies nominated. I was wondering were the films nominated, films that didn't get a huge theatrical release because I was only familiar with "American Sniper". But anyway I turned back and forth between the Oscars and whatever else looked interesting on TV that night which wasn't much. Did you all bother watching the Oscars or did you pass on it altogether? MUSIC BITS: Usher, Pharrell, Common, John Legend, and Madonna are just some of the artists that are performing at this years Grammys which will air next month. I can't say I'm excited about the telecast but I'm sure I'll watch since there will likely not be nothing else on then again Atlanta Housewives may be on so I might just stick around my Mother's house to watch that. Bloop! Tyga has pushed back the release of his album The Gold Album since he is still battling Cash Money. I'm really starting to wonder is anyone really anticipating this album anyway? I mean I know I will be downloading though when it comes out! Kid Cudi is back in the studio working on his new album Man On The Moon 3. And if your fan of his I'm sure your excited about the news. GLOBAL ICON: Congratulations are in order for Common and John Legend who won a Golden Globe for Best Original Song for the movie Selma,which was released this past weekend I believe. I don't get to into the movie award shows anymore. So with that being said I didn't watch and opted to watch #RHOA(Real Housewives of Atlanta) and the free Showtime preview I have which have had some pretty good movies and shows on I should add. SHADY PALM THREE:Speaking of #RHOA tonight's episode was probably one of the best episodes so far this season. Personally I've enjoyed every episode but this episode was being hyped up because Nene Leakes was going head to head with newbie Claudia Jordan. Any news is good news. John Legend scores his first #1 Pop hit with All Of Me . It is his latest single from his album Love In The Future released this past August. The song knocks Pharrell's Happy out of the top spot. John Legend's previous hits including Green Light featuring Andre 3000 and Ordinary People which both peaked at #24 on the Pop charts. New R&B chart debuts this week! Tamar Braxton debuts at #2 with 114K copies sold of her second album Love & Wa r. John Legend debuts at #4 with 68K for his new album Love In The Future . Jaheim comes in at #6 with 58K for his album Appreciation Day . It was recently announced that the next single from his album is Baby X3 . Congrats to all the R&B acts for their debuts this week! R&B back on top? I wouldn't have it any other way.

Tuesday saw the release of several R&B albums that are set to storm the charts next week. First up is Republic Records sensation Ariane Grande whose debut album Yours Truly is set to debut at #1 with 150K. Next up will be Tamar Braxton with her album Love & War with 105-110K units, John Legend( Love In The Future ) with 50-55K, and Jaheim( Appreciation Day ) with 40-45K units. These estimated sales are all courtesy of HITS Daily Double which tracks the record releases. These numbers are subject to change by week's end. Congrats to everyone though. Slow news week-end. But I do have some news on John Legend if anyone cares. The singer who recently went nude for the Funny Or Die commercials just released his new single All Of Me . It is the third single from his upcoming album Love In The Future in stores on September 3. The album features appearances from Rick Ross and Stacy Barthe(worked with Frank Ocean).

Tamar Braxton is taking her show on the road along with John Legend. They will headline John Legend's "Made To Love" tour which also happens to be the title of his newest single. The tour will begin on October 20 and run through December 1. Ironically both singers will release new albums on the same day, September 3. John Legend's new album Love In The Future features the single Who Do We Think We Are? featuring Rick Ross. Tamar's new album Love & War features the title track and The One . Mary J. Blige and J-LO are said to duet! I'm sure the headline alone comes as to a surprise to everyone. The two superstars recently hooked up at the Chime For Change concert a few weeks ago. Now the pair will reportedly duet for each others upcoming albums. Mary's new album is a Christmas album said to be due later this year and will feature a duet with J-LO and even J-LO's ex Marc Anthony.
