So as I was searching for a picture to post along with who I was ready to talk about today, I came across one of my favorite pictures of Mariah Carey from her "The Emancipation of Mimi" album. Now I wasn't planning on talking about Mariah today but I did read through People magazine that Mariah is back with her ex-boyfriend, backup dancer; Bryan. If you are surprised by this revelation then you are not alone. I didn't bother reading the story, I just saw the headline and thought "Wow!". Now for what I truly wanted to talk about today was singer and TV host, Adrienne Bailon of the daytime talk show, "The Real". Well her former bandmate from 3LW, Naturi Naughton appeared on the show and Adrienne apologized to her for her part in the separation of 3LW. Naturi humbly accepted the apology though upon closer inspection, Naturi seemed like she wasn't really here for it. I knew their paths would cross again because they're both in the spotlight. ...

Everything is never as perfect as it seems. We've learned that over the years when it comes to not only music but even going as far as the stars on TV. While some good things eventually come to an end as we see in most groups; before that groups try to go the distance by replacing members. Whether it be a fall out; group dispute; or personal decision, some groups have stood the test of time for as long as they could. Here are an example of some of the groups who became more well known for their line up changes than their music; hey it happens! 3LW After a fight in a car involving chicken(oddly enough); Naturi Naughton was kicked out of 3LW and started her own successful solo career in music and movies. "Neva Get Enuf" is an underrated song from 3LW and a personal favorite of mine. This song came right during the end of 3LW and their move to performing as 'The Cheetah Girls'. The video and song also features Lil' Wayne who wasn't quite as big as he is now. Also the video only features two of the members of 3LW, Kiely Williams and Adrienne Bailon. If you recall Naturi Naughton(of "Fame" and "Notorious") was in the group as well.

In My Own Words: Happy New Year everyone! I forgot to mention it in my very first post of the new year(which you can see below). I hope everyone had a great holiday and will fulfill all their New Year's resolutions(of course if you made them). I made a few for myself. I don't usually like to though because these are things I should already be doing anyway. With the new Biggie movie opening in a week or two, Lil' Kim has come out swinging! Apparently the rap diva is upset about her portrayal in the movie(or lack of involvement). Kim sums up that the movie is all Mrs. Wallace(Big's mother) and Faith's[Evans] side of the story. Kim is also upset about Naturi(formerly of 3LW) portraying her. This is not surprising. Anytime a biopic is made, someone is upset about how their portrayed on film. Former 3LW member Naturi Naughton graces the latest issue of King magazine. On the cover Naturi takes on Lil' Kim in which she portrays in the upcoming biopic, "Notorious" in theaters January 16, 2009. I personally think this picture is atrocious and very unflattering. If you have followed Lil' Kim, the cover is a take on Kim's 2000 album, "Notorious K.I.M.". For a cover photo its supposed to be glamorous and appealing and in King's case sexually appealing. I don't get that with Naturi but more power to her. Maybe after this role she will acquire more acting roles and a better future King cover.
