A lot of news tonight on this Friday night! I'll start with Janet Jackson who is busy at work on a new album. Not much is known about the upcoming album or its release date. One thing I do know is that its been said that producer Bangladesh(Brandy) is working on the new album. Remember when Keyshia Cole made those comments on Twitter about Michelle Williams at the Super Bowl? The comments sparked a lot of controversy. Well know Michelle Williams wants to sit down and talk to Keyshia Cole, woman to woman, hence Keyshia's most recent album Woman To Woman . Shall be interesting if it does happen though. Yesterday I reported some news about Mary J. Blige's Christmas album A Mary Christmas . Well it turns out her duet with Barbra Streisand is not the album's first single. Instead Mary will release Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas followed by This Christmas . Mary's new album is in stores October 15. Mariah Carey was spotted overseas with Miguel. The two are responsible for the current hit #Beautiful. #Beautiful will appear on Mariah Carey's new album The Art Of Letting Go due July 23. Word is that Mariah and Miguel are shooting a video perhaps for #Beautiful Remix or perhaps a totally different track. Nothing has been confirmed as of yet but stay tuned. #Beautiful is currently one of my favorite songs out right now and I'm anticipating what Mariah will give us on this upcoming album. Moving on...I was reading up on one of the music forums I frequent. It was revealed by producer Bangladesh that the track Diva (performed by Beyonce) was originally intended for Keyshia Cole. Keyshia liked the track but wasn't completely satisfied with it and that's when Bangladesh later shopped the song to Beyonce(who liked the track). The album will feature the newly released single Jerk Ribs(which is one of my favorite songs right now). Is it back on? That is the question regarding the state of Lil' Kim's new album said to be produced by Bangladesh(worked with Lil' Wayne). News broke out about the producer working with Lil' Kim awhile back. Then it was later revealed that Bangladesh was no longer working with Lil' Kim on her new album. Now its said that they are working together and Kim confirmed it during her recent tour stop in New York. Lil' Kim promises a new single in June/July likely produced by Bangladesh. Welp I guess we will have to wait and see if Kim delivers or not. Chris Brown has revealed that his new album X will be released on July 16. The album features the hit single Fine China . The album features the hit single; "Over" and the Kanye West produced song; "Find Your Love" which is already proving to be one of my favorite songs of 2010.
