Hey everybody! I will call this particular blog today "The Female Rap Edition". All the stories below deal with female rappers who are currently in the news. I start with one of my favorite new rappers Azealia Banks who is back after a long sabbatical from Twitter. She announced yesterday that her next single is titled ATM JAM featuring Pharrell. Azealia herself has tweeted lyrics to the song awhile back and she mentioned that Pharrell was on her album, her debut Broke With Expensive Taste due later this year. Since Yung Rapunxel was more of an underground single maybe ATM JAM will be more commercial. There is no release date but look for the song to debut in the coming weeks. Lauryn Hill has been back in the news but not necessarily for the best reasons unless you count her new single Neurotic Society . Kreayshawn performs her new single Go Hard on The Jimmy Kimmel Show . The rapper's debut album Somethin' 'Bout Kreay is in stores and online now.  The album features the hit single Gucci Gucci and collaborations with Kid Cudi and 2Chainz. 

Wiz Khalifa has pushed back the release date of his new album O.N.I.F.C. (Only Niggas In First Class) to September. The album's previous release date was later this month. A Taylor Gang compilation is said to follow in October spearheaded by Wiz. Kreayshawn's new album Somethin' 'Bout Kreay has been pushed back to September 18. The album was previously being released on August 14. The album contains the hit single Gucci Gucci and the recently released songs(and videos); Breakfast featuring 2 Chainz and Go Hard .  The album features appearances from Kid Cudi and V-Nasty part of Kreay's White Girl Mob.  Are you checking for Kreayshawn's album? I admit Gucci Gucci is nice and makes for a very catchy song. After that she kinda lost me.  What I do like about Kreayshawn though is she doesn't take herself too seriously and she's having fun with it.

  Just a few days ago Kreayshawn released her new single Breakfast(Syrup) featuring 2 Chainz and now the video has been released. Kreayshawn directed the video.  Breakfast(Syrup) serves as the first single to Kreayshawn's upcoming album Somethin 'Bout Kreay in stores and online August 14. 

Kreayshawn will release her debut album through Columbia Records Somethin' Bout Kreay . There is no release date for the album but you can look forward to the video of her new single Breakfast featuring 2 Chainz on May 21. Elsewhere on the upcoming album Kreay collaborated with White Girl Mob member V-Nasty(who has also collaborated with Gucci Mane), Kid Cudi, and Diplo(produced Usher's Climax ).  I was thinking someone like Kreayshawn would of had a more interesting album title than Somethin' Bout Kreay . I have noticed the whole "Somethin 'Bout..." album title continues to be a popular album title amongst rappers over the years.  50 Cent has revealed that he will be working alongside Cam'ron in a series of movies and mixtapes. What brought the two together is beyond me but I'll take it! You can look forward to their upcoming collaboration early next month.   Not only does 2 Chainz and Kreayshawn collaborate on Murder but Breakfast the new single from Kreayshawn's debut album Something About Kreay .  I was starting to wonder what happened to Kreayshawn. She had the Gucci Gucci song which did moderately well and then she just disappeared. 

J. Cole insists that he and Rihanna did not make a sextape. He never said they didn't have sex though! Ha! He also denies being dropped from Roc Nation. This of course is all on the heels of him releasing his debut album; "Cole World: The Sideline Story" in two weeks; September 27. Like I said I think the album will get pushed back. I think to put a rest to the Roc Nation rumors; J. Cole leaked out the Jay-Z assisted single; "Mr. Nice Watch" which I just heard and its okay. I'm just not instantly moved by most songs but I will have to give this another listen before giving my final verdict. Kreayshawn; responsible for the single; "Gucci Gucci" has been speaking out on her alleged beef with Rick Ross. The rapstress claims the beef is dead and that it was clearly a misunderstanding.
