A few days ago it was reported that singer, Mariah Carey was robbed of 50K(50 thousand) dollars worth of jewelry and purses. I'm thinking her backup dancers are to blame because maybe they are not getting paid enough to be on tour with her. I know Mariah Carey casually hangs out with her backup dancers and even dates them so what makes you think they wouldn't rob her? I'm sure they have been throughout her home on various occasions and have been privy to see many of the lavish items Mariah owns. What makes you think one of those snakes with an axe to grind for whatever reason didn't go upstairs in her room and steal one of her Gucci bags? To top it off they may of wanted it for themselves or they may of stolen it and sold it off and got money for it. You never know but let's hope this is not the case. L.A. Reid, the man behind the careers of TLC, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston has left his post at Epic Records. On top of that he is being sued for sexual harassment by an Epic employee. I wonder is that why he left? For those of you unfamiliar with L.A. Reid, he started LaFace Records with Babyface and he was formerly married to 80s R&B singer Perri "Pebbles" Reid back in the day. He was also rumored to have had a fling with Chili from TLC, something both have denied over the years. Speaking of Epic Records, Future(who records for Epic Records) has everyone talking in a good way when he posted a sentimental message to Ciara for Mother's Day. Slip of the finger So I was on TheShadeRoom and I saw a post where it showed that Kelly Rowland liked a comment someone made regarding a new family picture Ciara posted. The picture in question is of Ciara with her pregnant belly showing and her son, Future; naked covering her breast and her husband; Russell Wilson with his face in her behind covered holding her hips. The feud between Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma has everyone talking and now several prominent female rappers have given their opinion on the hot topic. Da Brat says she's siding with Remy Ma being that she's from her era and she knows her personally. Foxy Brown has thrown some jabs at Remy on Instagram after Remy referenced Foxy on the "shEther" track as a "deaf bitch". Rah Digga says she's excited about the rap battle. Azealia Banks says she has nothing to do with it and speaking of Azealia, many feel Nicki's verse on "Make Love" was about Azealia and not Remy. Remy may feel otherwise. Beyoncé is out Hey all! There is a lot of music news and I'm going to try my best to cover everything in this one post. So Beyoncé has officially dropped out of headlining Coachcella. In a statement, it was revealed that Beyoncé will instead headline in 2018. Let's just hope she's not pregnant with triplets by then.  Future just released his second new album in a week,"Hendrxx". The album features Rihanna and The Weeknd. Just last week, Future released his self-titled album which is slated to be the #1 album next week.  Omarion is allegedly the guy in a video that is making the rounds. Young Thug in trouble. Do you all remember the video that surfaced of Young Thug at an airport dissing the airport employees? The video surfaced like two weeks ago. I don't recall what all the commotion was about but Young Thug's mother was so up in my arms, she had him go back and apologize to the airport employees. Well now Young Thug has went and got himself arrested. Some say its karma for his treatment of the airport employees. Do you believe in karma? Happy Belated Birthday Monica! Happy Belated Birthday to Monica, Ashanti, Toni Braxton, and all the fellow Libras. There are so many and too many to name. Azealia is back! Good evening folks! I'm sitting here watching "Family Feud" and I just heated up some leftover Hamburger Helper for dinner. In the meantime I have a few updates for you all! Azealia Banks revealed a few days ago that she is signing to rapper and producer RZA and his record label. I'm not sure the name of his record label but RZA did direct Azealia Banks in the upcoming film, "Coco" which is due out next year I believe. If your not familiar with RZA, he is one of the many members of the infamous Wu-Tang Clan and he directed the movie, "The Man With The Iron Fists" starring Russell Crowe.  A judge has ruled that Future's tweets about Ciara is not enough to grant Ciara the win in a defamation case she filed against her ex. Trina down with the sluts. Trina will be performing at Amber Rose's annual "SlutWalk". This is the second year for the event.  Solange has posted the tracklisting for her new album, "A Seat At The Table" which will be released digitally on September 30 through Columbia Records. Solange was previously signed back to Columbia Records back in the day so its nice to see her get a major release. The tracklisting features a star studded affair of artists including Tweet, Lil' Wayne, Kelly Rowland, and The-Dream. I'm really excited to hear the new album. I've been waiting for a new album from Solange for awhile anyway.  Ciara has filed an injunction towards Future to ensure he stops badmouthing her. She feels that Future talking reckless in songs is hurting her brand. Personally I feel she is hurting her own brand. She should be so lucky people even still care about her. She's a pretty girl but I'm not feeling her personally.

Nicki dropping it low. Lil' Mama threw some major shade at Nicki Minaj on Instagram. She posted a picture of Lil' Kim, saying that Kim inspired everyone to wanna wear pink hair before going on to quote Misa Hilton(Diddy's first baby mama) saying "respect the architect". I'm not sure exactly what Lil' Mama has against Nicki Minaj but she has been sending shots her way for awhile. Whether or not Nicki has responded, you'd have to listen closely to any of her latest songs. It's almost like Lil' Mama is asking for Nicki to come at her but I think it would be an interesting battle between the two though. Beyoncé big winner So I am a day late on my recap of the Video Music Awards. I didn't watch the telecast and nowadays you don't have to because most, if not all performances become readily available on social media and YouTube. There were many highlights as well as shocking moments,typical of all award shows these days. I took the liberty to cover some of the moments. Check it out!  Beyoncé was one of the big winners at the Video Music Awards. She now holds the record for the most awarded female surpassing Madonna. Beyoncé graced the red carpet with her daughter, Blue Ivy in tow. Jay-Z was noticeably absent. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing. I do notice when Beyoncé does attend award shows without Jay-Z, she seems more gracious and personable as opposed to when she is with him, she comes off as rather icy and cold, just my opinion. Mariah Carey was one of the many artists that performed at this year's Essence Festival held down in New Orleans. Other artists that performed included Da Brat, Jermaine Dupri, Maxwell, and Kandi Burruss. Speaking of Kandi, her "RHOA" co-star Cynthia Bailey says she is officially divorcing husband, Peter Thomas. She says she doesn't wish to be married anymore. We have seen the two's relationship play out on TV ever since Cynthia joined the show in season 3. Expect to see more drama on the upcoming season is which is said to be filming. LaTavia Roberson, formerly of Destiny's Child is said to be hospitalized after having some pregnancy complications. This is the second pregnancy for the star. Reports say that LaTavia was in critical condition. Hopefully good things will be in her favor during this difficult time. Future is being sued for 10 million dollars by Rocko. Do you all remember Rocko? He used to date Monica back in the day. Well Future was signed to Rocko's A1 Entertainment back in 2010. Future allegedly went behind Rocko's back and cut a side deal with Epic Records which resulted in a huge payout for Future. Now Rocko is wanting what's owed to him. #teamlitty Bobby Brown appeared on ABC's "20/20" last night for an emotional interview regarding Whitney Houston and Bobbi Kristina. Bobby has a book being released next week aptly titled, "Every Little Step". Bobby spoke in detail about his tumultuous relationship with Whitney Houston detailing their drug use over the years. Most of what Bobby spoke about was things that I heard previously from him and Whitney Houston. New York's yearly Summer Jam festivities happened last night not without some drama though. Apparently one of the headliners, Future wasn't about to perform on the main stage for some reason. Fat Joe and Remy Ma performed and brought out Ashanti. I didn't see much else footage from the show except for that. In other music news, Tyrese has been seen cuddling up with actress Sanaa Lathan. Sanaa had most recently been linked up with French Montana and before that Denzel Washington. In reality TV news, Joseline and Stevie J of "Love & Hip Hop" fame have been beefing on Twitter and airing out each others personal business. Joseline has accused Stevie of being gay and liking trans girls among other things. Stevie on the other hand has alleged that he and Joseline were never married and that she's a "hoe". Drake leads the nominees for the 2016 BET Awards which were just announced yesterday. Drake leads with 9 nominations. Beyoncé has 5 nominations. The BET Awards air next month. Speaking of award shows, The Billboard Music Awards will air this Sunday on ABC. Artists scheduled to perform are Britney Spears, Pink, and Ke$ha. Are their any black performers? But there are black hosts; Ciara and Ludacris. Do you all remember when Ciara and Ludacris read off the nominee list on live TV and Ciara didn't want to read Future's name on the teleprompter? Ha! So word on the street is that Ashanti is secretly dating The Game. I read a story last night on another online blog and I believe it. I remember this same blog posted a screenshot of Ashanti liking one of Game's infamous underwear selfie pics. If that's not enough Game was said to be overheard but not seen on Ashanti's Snapchat, the same was said about Game. Both artists were visiting a club in L.A. Ashanti has been spending a lot of time in L.A. as of recently. Her sister has a place there and she's doing a lot of business over there. I think she's signed a record deal to one L.A. based label but don't quote me on that. It would be interesting if Game and Ashanti are dating though given their past history. Both artists recorded for labels that were once foes, Murder Inc. & G-Unit. Future has a song with Jay Z in the works that he gushed about on social media. Tyga and Kylie Jenner have broken up and Tyga has already been seen with Karlie Redd from "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta". Drake sells 600K+ copies in the first day of his new album,"Views". "Views" is an iTunes exclusive for an entire week before it lands in stores and other streaming apps. Upon its release on April 29, the album and its song titles were all trending on Twitter. Drake samples Brandy on "Fire & Desire" and Mary J. Blige throughout the 20 track. Drake touches on his relationship with Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill. Rihanna, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Future, Pimp C, and OVO artists round out the guest artists.
