Nicki Minaj fans erupt Rah Digga of Flipmode Squad fame upset Nicki Minaj fans today when she shaded Nicki Minaj on Twitter. One fan said that Nicki would wash Rah to which Rah replied "with her lyrics or  Safaree's?". Safaree Samuels, Nicki Minaj's ex has long been rumored to have penned some of Nicki's biggest hits. He's even claimed this as well after their breakup and Nicki herself has always denied this. What Rah said was something that Azealia Banks actually said yesterday on Twitter. She just worded it slightly different. Azealia was called out for working with Safaree and hating on Nicki. Azealia said she likes Nicki's songs but the ones Safaree wrote. This is pretty similar to what Rah said so naturally Nicki Minaj fans are in an uproar. To add injury to insult, Lil' Mama has been throwing shots at Nicki as well so it looks like Nicki had to put out something to silence the haters but all it did was make them talk more. Earlier this week Rah Digga spoke out about Iggy Azalea when asked in a radio interview. She questioned Iggy's authenticity as a rapper and her connections to Hip Hop in general. This wouldn't be the first time Iggy's authenticity was questioned. Just a few months ago outspoken singer K. Michelle came out of the woodworks questioning why Iggy sounds the way she does. I can't remember Iggy ever responding to the question but she did comment on Rah Digga's comments shortly after the interview made the rounds. Azealia Banks called out Iggy Azalea as well when she noted that a lyric was deemed racist. Azealia also became upset when Iggy made XXL's coveted Freshman 14 list, where the magazine boasts the up and coming rappers to look out for. What's funny is that Azealia Banks' words struck a nerve with T.I. but apparently not with the other ladies who have said things. A few days ago there was a story and video, which I didn't post sorry, I was being lazy I guess about Rah Digga sounding off on Iggy Azalea. Instead I just watched a portion of the video and posted the story. Anyway Rah Digga said she didn't agree with Iggy's authenticity when it came to Hip Hop. She's obviously not the first to say this but whatever Rah said hit a nerve with Iggy and she responded. She responded in a nice way simply addressing why people are so concerned with her music and her style. I understand but when you are a new (female) rapper on the scene you are picked apart like that. Rah responded back saying that she simply answered a question that was asked to her. She didn't come in just to shade Iggy but more so told her truth about how she feels. What do you think?

MUSIC BITS: Nicki Minaj visited August Alsina in the hospital. The singer has been in the hospital ever since he collapsed at a concert. Rah Digga is questioning Iggy Azalea's authenticity like so many others have. Iggy just can't catch a break. The R&B Divas L.A. Reunion airs tonight on TV One at 10 PM EST. I'm excited for the reunion mainly because Wendy Williams is hosting. The season as a whole was pretty boring but I know Wendy will dig up some dirt as usual. Mary J. Blige recently visited The Breakfast Club radio show and talked about her new album The London Sessions due December 2. The album's first singles are Therapy and Whole Damn Year . She also opened up about the Burger King controversy which she says left her in a brief dark space due to the negative reaction. Azealia Banks has just released her new single Chasing Time . It's the latest single to be released from Azealia's long awaited album Broke With Expensive Taste .

Rah Digga was once part of Busta Rhyme's The Flipmode Squad which comprised of a variety of emcees I can't remember to name. Rah Digga released an independent release; "Classic" a year or so ago but most people were probably unaware of its release but its worth checking out if you ever get a chance.

Rah Digga wasted no time in her efforts to put out a new album. "Classic" is her first album in 10 years and its primarily produced by Nottz. The album's first single; "This Ain't No Lil' Kid Rap" hit iTunes a few weeks back. There is no guest appearances on the album. It is strictly Rah Digga and that is certainly something you don't see on rap albums nowadays. Music Biz: Amerie Changes Spelling Of Her Name! Rah Digga's boisterous lyrics and menacing flow were in full effect on her debut album; "Dirty Harriet". Released in 2000; the album was responsible for the singles; "Tight" "Imperial" featuring Busta Rhymes, and "Break Fool". I remember buying this album from a music club I was in. Honestly I became a fan off the strength that Rah Digga was a Foxy Brown fan. Me being a big Foxy Brown fan; I really got into Rah Digga. One of my favorite songs on the album is "Curtains". There are so many songs here I like but they aren't coming to mind quick enough. There are plenty of punchlines for those who love intricate wordplay. The beats are nasty and gritty; in a good way. You are bound to forget that you are listening to an album by a female rapper. With that said it is definitely not your average female rapper album. And by the time it is released(if it keeps its September 14th date); it will be a little over a year since his current album; "Ready" was released. Earlier this year "Ready" went gold becoming his first album to do so. Trey has pretty much ran the last year with a slew of chart topping R&B/Pop singles including "Neighbors Know My Name" and "Say Aah". Oh...and the name of the new album is "Passion, Pain & Pleasure". For his new tour named after the new album; Trey will debut his new music along with all his other hits. A MTV Unplugged album and special is in the works to coincide with the album so look out for that. The BET Awards 2010 will pay tribute this year to Prince as part of their Lifetime Achievement Award. We all are aware of Prince and his influence. All female rappers have alter egos or other names they refer to themselves as. For instance Eve is known as 'the pitbull in a skirt'. In Rah Digga's case, she is known as 'Dirty Harriet'(a take on Harriet Tubman) which ironically was the name of her 2000 debut solo album. Rah Digga first REALLY caught my attention for her single, 'Imperial'. In the video Rah Digga pranced around in her usual B-girl stance and pictures of Foxy Brown were in the background. Paying homage to Foxy in her video and on her debut was something that I liked. On the album, Rah has a lot of punchlines and her delivery is sick. The way she says things and the way she says it makes this album a worthwhile listen. There are some entertaining moments in the form of some skits which I couldn't wait to share with an old friend of mine. Rah Digga never truly got her chance to shine again after this album. Her second solo album on J Records never was released commercially. Eventually...

The click's album and a variety of guest appearances set the stage for the female rapper's solo debut album. From here on out, most female rappers outgrow their clicks and succeeds the other lesser known members. The female rappers listed below are mentioned alongside their perspective clicks or former clicks. Rah Digga, Flipmode Rah Digga is one of the few female rappers where most would agree that she can and will outshine most if not all male rappers. With the infamous Flipmode squad, Rah Digga could be heard on singles such as 'I Know What You Want' and 'Touch It'.
