Beyoncé had a push party(baby shower) yesterday with several friends and family by her side. Beyoncé's due date and sex of her twins are unknown has seen much speculation. Nicki Minaj will be opening tonight's Billboard Music Awards with what is being labeled a "epic 9 minute performance". Nicki will perform a medley of her hits and I'm sure "No Frauds" will be included for good measure. :) Drake is also said to be performing among others. The Billboard Music Awards air tonight at 8 P.M. EST(Eastern Standard Time) on ABC(I believe). Snoop Dogg says he's putting out a gospel album. Why? I don't know. But hey if it makes you money then so be it. Busta Rhymes just celebrated his 45th birthday. Our 90s rappers are getting old! Speaking of Busta, he hasn't put out new music in awhile that I'm aware of. You can hear him spit some bars on Faith Evans' "The King & I" album which is currently #1 on iTunes R&B chart. Go Fait...

These rappers stay in trouble! The Game has been sued by one of the contestants on his upcoming show, "She's Got Game". The contestant claims that Game sexually assaulted her. She's suing for 10 million. Game doesn't have to sexually assault a woman in my opinion. Most women want him anyway and will do just about whatever to get on TV to get with him. Sounds like this girl is mad she didn't get picked and now she wants some of that money. Bye thot! :) Sorry not buying it! Busta Rhymes got arrested for throwing a protein shake at a gym employee. As big and swollen as Busta is I'm surprised he didn't pick up a barbell and throw it! I'm not sure why Busta went into a fit of anger. Maybe someone was on one of his machines. At the end of the day Busta needs to control his anger and manage to make some music. We haven't had new music from Busta in awhile have we? Well until next time folks! Busta Rhymes insists that his newest album Year Of The Dragon is not his Cash Money album debut. Instead the album will serve as a free album to the fans which will be available this August on Google Play. The album contains the single King Tut. Appearances come in the form of Maino, Robin Thicke, Trey Songz, Lil' Wayne, and Rick Ross. Speaking of new albums Tamia will be releasing her new album Beautiful Surprise on August 28. Rah Digga hit hard with her debut single; "Imperial" from her gold debut album; "Dirty Harriet" released back in 2000. Rah Digga was once part of Busta Rhyme's The Flipmode Squad which comprised of a variety of emcees I can't remember to name. Rah Digga released an independent release; "Classic" a year or so ago but most people were probably unaware of its release but its worth checking out if you ever get a chance.

I'm presuming this is the first single from Busta Rhymes' upcoming album. I'm not sure when its scheduled to be released but in the meantime you can enjoy his new video. I don't think the video(from what I've seen) is exactly groundbreaking or nothing that we haven't seen from Busta in the past. It's actually the type of video we've come to (love and) expect from someone with an imagination like Busta's.

Busta Rhymes has had many collaborations with The Neptunes or should I say songs produced by The Neptunes and "What It Is" is perhaps one of the more popular ones. I'm scratching my head right now as I try and remember what album this is from. I think it was from a Violator(management team) compilation. This is definitely a throwback because Kelis was obviously still associated with The Neptunes. It's been eight years since Kelis last worked with The Neptunes. Funny how time flies!

Some of Busta's best songs in my opinion were those produced by The Neptunes and "What It Is" is no exception. Also worth mentioning is "Light Your Ass On Fire" also produced by The Neptunes .

This was one of those surprising and memorable collaborations that Busta Rhymes has done over the years. I believe this came out in 1998. This was the beginning of a few collaborations Janet did as she eventually collaborated with Blackstreet on "Girlfriend/Boyfriend". Busta would also go on to duet with another diva; Mariah Carey on "I Know What You Want".

Lil' Wayne is definitely one of the busier rappers out now as he is poised to record a duet album with Drake. I swear these rappers come up with more and more ways to make money and I'm not mad at them. Before that though; Lil' Wayne still has a collaboration album with T-Pain known as T-Wayne. Personally I think he can scratch that! Wayne also has an album with Birdman which I can definitely see happening. All the while Wayne is recording music for "The Carter 4". Apparently Beyonce will release her first single next month and according to producer Robert Taylor, it will be "big". I'm sure it will be. I know a lot of people have been waiting for Beyonce to return to the music scene. I read that the new album is a modern take on '80s music; not exactly original though right? This was one of my favorite songs and videos while I was in junior high school. Everytime this song came on, I would want to dance. Busta Rhymes was one of the first rappers to make really expensive videos. It was something he caught some flack for but the videos were really good.
