Russell Simmons is making headlines for a model who claims to have been sexually assaulted by the media mogul. She claims that she was forced to give Simmons oral sex while movie director, Brett Ratner(movie: "Rush Hour") looked on. She says after the alleged sex act, she went to shower and that's when Simmons popped into the shower and anally penetrated her. Simmons has denied the claims saying the sex act was consensual and he did indeed spend a few nights with the woman. Others have come forward to corroborate Simmons' story. I always say there is truth to a rumor(or in this case a story). We do know Russell Simmons has a thing for young girls. He began dating model, Kimora Lee Simmons when she was 17 and he was 35. In other news... Jennifer Hudson and her fiance of 10 years, David Otunga have broken up and Hudson has filed a protective order. Otunga has alleged that Hudson had been unfaithful during their courtship with singer, Mail Music. 

Mama Tina comes to her daughter's rescue after everyone accused Beyoncé of dipping out of the BET Awards. Apparently Beyoncé had to be overseas for her overseas leg of her "Formation World Tour". Lil' Kim's fans came to her rescue after Nene Leakes started throwing shade or one of her writers for her new website. The website which Nene just launched called "The Fab Gab" deals with everyday topics including plastic surgery(which Nene has been very open about in recent years) and dating. Will you be buying or downloading? NOT FIT FOR A QUEEN:Queen Latifah's show may be in danger of being cancelled after less than stellar ratings. It's funny because that's what happened to the first. Despite having A-list talent and being shuffled between a variety of shows, the show has not found its footing. Queen definitely has the potential to carry her own show but something about it is off and I always felt that way the few times I did watch it. I think even with the A-list stars the show was a bore. There was no umph.

Any news is good news. Greetings everyone! So its being revealed that Kelly Rowland asked to be dropped from Universal Republic Records. It was being reported originally that the singer was dropped. Kelly felt that her label was not supporting her properly. Isn't that usually the case when it comes to R&B acts anyway? I do however think Kelly got a pretty big push. She had multiple singles released but her album only sold 215,000 copies. That's pretty normal when it comes to R&B acts though, that number anyway. By no means is the number great but its what we've come to expect. Anyway its also being reported that Kelly has been unhappy with her label since December. She wanted her label to release a single during her stint on X Factor but they denied. Universal Republic probably felt like there was no point in releasing anymore singles since they had already released a hand full of singles. The new untitled album will feature the album's first single I Can't Describe(The Way I Feel) featuring T.I. and produced by Pharrell. Timbaland and R. Never been to crazy about her albums but I will say her last two singles from her last album were in constant rotation with me.

The singer/producer released five albums with the label most notably his Gold debut Love/Hate released in 2007. We all know The-Dream for creating hits for everyone from Keyshia Cole to Mariah Carey to Rihanna to Beyonce. In other music news...I was reading that Timbaland and Pharrell has contributed songs for the new Jennifer Hudson album due this Spring. Their contribution joins the previously announced R. Kelly contribution It's Your World.

In the music world, Jennifer Hudson is re teaming with R. Kelly. If you recall R. Kelly wrote Jennifer's hit Where You At? Now its been revealed that R. Kelly has contributed a new song titled Its Your World slated to appear on Jennifer Hudson's new album. The song is described as having a "Chicagoan feel". Jennifer Hudson was recently in the news for buying her assistant a house, yes her assistant chile! Must be one hell of an assistant. I think it was very gracious of Jennifer as she carries herself with graciousness and elegance.

Jennifer Hudson is the latest celebrity to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The famed singer and actress is known for her stint on American Idol. But it was her breakthrough performance in Dreamgirls that landed the singer an Oscar. From then on the singer has went on to release two hit albums and star in multiple movies. Next up is her role as a wayward mother in Black Nativity . Congratulations to Jennifer Hudson! Now some people feel Jennifer Hudson is not deserving of her Walk of Fame, just yet. Clearly Jennifer Hudson hasn't been in the industry long enough but I think she does deserve it nonetheless. She has accomplished many things in her career and I see her being around for the long haul. Justin Timberlake, TLC, and J-LO are said to performers at this year's American Music Awards . Of course I have some music news tidbits to wet your music news appetite.   I'll start things off with Jennifer Hudson who is diligently(another favorite word of mine to use on the blog) working on her new album. This will be her third album for RCA Records. While the album is still in its early stages the singer recently collaborated with Pharrell Williams. Jennifer even attended Pharrell's 40th birthday party. It will be interesting to see what these two will cook up together. I guess I never imagined Jennifer Hudson singing over a Pharrell beat but it probably wouldn't be a bad idea. Some American Idol news... Fantasia's new album The Side Effects Of You was originally due on March 19 but has since been pushed back to an unspecified date. The album features the first single Lose To Win. Jennifer Hudson just started work on her new album; her third with producer Salaam Remi(worked with Nas). Nicki Minaj just recently filmed the video to the single Freaks alongside French Montana. The song is the newest single from French Montana's album Excuse My French in stores and online this May.

Nelly is poised to make a return to the music scene this Summer with a new untitled album. The upcoming album is said to feature appearances and production by Rico Love, Jim Jonsin, Taylor Swift, Chris Brown(who may appear on the album's first single), Polow Da Don, and Jermaine Dupri. Nell's got some heavy hitters here and hopefully they bring the heat. Nelly is in desperate need of a hit album since falling short a few years ago.
