Happy Birthday to Remy Ma! I don't know how old she is but if I had to guess I'd say she's about 35ish. It is also Cee-Lo Green's birthday today. Remember back in the Summer when a video leaked of Cee-Lo Green on his Samsung phone and it exploded? Everyone was genuinely concerned for Cee-Lo and it was later discovered that the video was a hoax. Anyway...Azealia Banks will release a new song tomorrow on May 31(her birthday). The untitled song is said to be a teaser to Banks' re-release of her "Slay Z" mixtape released last year. The song will appear on Soundcloud but also iTunes, Spotify, and other streaming services. Personally I can't wait to hear the new music. In other music news, I hear Beyoncé may be set to give birth tomorrow. While Nicki played somewhat coy, she did admit to having "sleepovers" with Nas. She also says that she's "celibate" but may make an exception for Nas. #FlashbackFriday Ciara has signed to Warner Bros. Records. The pregnant singer just shared the news via her social media. Ciara was formerly signed to Epic Records. One thing about Ciara she definitely can keep a record deal despite her her last four albums flopping. However she does manage to score one hit single per album so I'm surprised Epic didn't keep her on their roster for that reason alone. But good luck to Ciara. Drake called Meek Mill a "pussy" while in Philly, Meek Mill's hometown. I guess it looks like these two won't be making up anytime soon. Drake is obviously feeling himself and with good reason. It's being reported that Andre 3000 threw some shots at Drake on Frank Ocean's "Blond" album. I heard the track in question but I didn't listen very closely to notice any jabs. Azealia Banks said she would smash Jay Z and she's mad at Beyoncé for standing her up in the studio. She claims Beyoncé bolted to the club to make sure Jay Z wasn't cheating. I want to first start by saying prayers go out to the families, friends, and loved ones who lost someone due to the Orlando club shooting. It is a very sad and unfortunate event. Now on to some music news, Lil' Wayne suffered a seizure during a flight and had to have an emergency landing. Lil' Wayne tweeted from his Twitter account informing fans "thanks for the prayers". VH1 has revealed that they will honor Queen Latifah and Missy Elliott for this year's "Hip Hop Honors". The telecast this year will honor women in Hip Hop. No offense to Queen Latifah and Missy Elliott but they already have numerous accolades and awards. I'm not sitting here saying they are not deserving of this honor either. Word is that Ne-Yo is reportedly getting married and having another child. This news caught many by surprise and at the same time upset many. If you caught the show "Atlanta Exes", Ne-Yo's ex-wife, Monyetta Shaw claimed that Ne-Yo wanted her to get her tubes tied. He says it was a mutual decision according to his Twitter but also denied that he was having a new baby. So who knows what's true at this point and really who cares? Well apparently a lot of people, just not me. Janet Jackson kicked off her "Unbreakable" World Tour in Vancouver last night and wowed the crowd with a medley of hits but also debuted three new songs, one with featured Missy Elliott who appeared on screen during the tour. There is still no release date for Janet's new album. So Kanye West has everyone talking again like he tends to do. This time people are outraged over his behavior at the Grammy awards telecast. When it came time to reveal the winner of Album of the Year, the winner was Beck(song: Loser). I personally hadn't heard Beck's album but I do know who he is. I can't remember who else was nominated besides Beyonce, who many thought was a shoe in for the coveted award. And that's what this is all about. Kanye started to storm the Grammy stage similar to how he did many years ago at the MTV awards, but he sat down before entirely gracing the stage. Remember last year when Danity Kane announced they were reuniting? All five fans rejoiced when the now trio released their hit single Lemonade featuring Tyga. I think Lifetime should opt out of doing biopics unless it deals with some stylized murderer or serial killer. I don't think music biopics are their thing and they proved that last night. Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B which is based on the book Aaliyah: More Than A Woman aired last night on Lifetime. Before the movie's inception, there had been a storm of controversy from everything to who should play Aaliyah to Lifetime being involved in the movie's depiction. Faith Evans teases fans with a visual of her new single and video for I Deserve It . The single is now available on iTunes. The song features Missy Elliott and newcomer Sharaya J. Faith Evans' upcoming album Incomparable is due in October or November. I've said this before but I'm not impressed with Faith's music ever since she's been an indie artist. I feel like the quality of her music has been taken a step down.

PISSED OFF: Fans of R. Kelly are upset with the singer after he bailed out of a Labor Day weekend performance in Columbus. The fans went as far as to call out the King of R&B for his lewd past including the rumors of his sexual dealings with minors. R. Kelly's publicist responded saying that Kellz would perform at a later date and time but fans weren't buying it. The new single was produced by longtime collaborator Chucky Thompson(worked with Mary J.) Faith's new album Incomparable is due later this year. I'm just hoping that Faith really brings it this time. Her last two albums sucked monkey balls and I'm a Faith Evans fan. With a title like 'Incomparable' she better deliver! If that's not enough to look forward to, check out Ms.Alicia Keys! Chal is serving the TEA! Hey y'all! It comes as no surprise that Rihanna is back in the studio. The singer has logged in some studio time with hit maker Alex Da Kid(worked with Nicki Minaj). A new Rihanna album is due later this year. I think we all were shocked when Rihanna didn't release a new studio album last year as she usually releases every year. Maybe the break in between albums was needed. Don't plan on waiting too long though. Rihanna is Def Jam's cash cow!
