Did You Know? "Did You Know" is a new post I will be doing periodically which will reveal little known music facts that you might know or might not know. Singers Aaliyah and Changing Faces both recorded the song "Come Over". Aaliyah's version of the song was recorded years ago and wasn't released until after her untimely death if my memory serves me correct. Changing Faces' version appeared on their 2000 album, '"Visit Me". The song was written and produced by Teddy Bishop and John'ta Austin. Remember last year when Danity Kane announced they were reuniting? All five fans rejoiced when the now trio released their hit single Lemonade featuring Tyga. Shortly after the release of Lemonade , Danity Kane had some inner group squabbles which resulted in a fight between Dawn Richard and Aubrey O'Day in a recording studio. Danity Kane later released their DK3 (I think that's the name of it) album to little fanfare. If that wasn't enough original member Aundrea previously reunited with the group but for some reason dropped out. I'm not really sure why but I remember people saying she couldn't keep up with the footwork on tour and she was probably tired of all the arguing going on within the group again. And just two months ago Jodeci reunited after 20 said years to perform a bevy of their hits on the Soul Train Awar ds. Beyonce pregnant? That's one of the first headlines I saw today while surfing the web in search of news. Indeed Beyonce wants more children but as of right now Beyonce's pregnancy is a big fat RUMOR. Currently Beyonce is on her The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour which ends in August 5 in Brooklyn, New York. While I was still on Facebook scrolling down my news feed I saw a story about an alleged sex tape starring Bobby V. Allegedly the video is being shopped around and it stars Bobby V. getting it in with a famous video vixen. Wow is all I can say! Some people will do anything for a little attention. Remember the duo Changing Faces? They were responsible for the hits Foolin' Around and Stroke You Up ? I've always liked Changing Faces' Fooling Around . The song was produced by R. Kelly and released in 1994. It was the second single from their self titled debut released also in 1994. Collectively the duo that composed of Changing Faces had a nice little run and at one point the sisters in harmony were making a comeback. I'm not sure what's happened now or what the ladies are currently working on.

Gone are the days where R&B female girl groups ruled. SWV. Xscape. En Vogue. TLC. Recently some of these famed girl groups have reassembled and decided to pick up where they left off. SWV When SWV(Sisters With Voices) disbanded many years ago; lead singer; Coko embarked on a solo career which included a secular R&B album before dodging into full fledged gospel offerings. After a few years of soul searching on Coko's part; she along with Taj and LeLee have teamed back up to record a new album. While not much news is present; expect the group to make their coveted return in 2012(hopefully)! TLC With key member Left Eye having passed years ago; the group TLC which includes T-Boz and Chili is still going strong and then some. VH1 recently announced plans to do a biopic on the famed group. Remember the New York based duo; Changing Faces? Their most notable hits were all penned by R. Kelly including: "G.H.E.T.T.O.U.T", "Stroke You Up" and "Fooling Around". The single; "Ladies Man" was one of the few singles from the duo not produced by R. Kelly. Interestingly enough the song was co-written by Lil' Mo. Most people probably don't remember this song or even know it but its one I know and its a favorite of mine from the duo. I remember hearing at one point Changing Faces was returning with new music or had a new song out. | You all remember Changing Faces right? This 1997 album was their second release on Atlantic Records. The album's first single, "G.H.E.T.T.O.U.T" was produced by R. Kelly. The album also featured the single, "All Of My Days" featuring Jay-Z. I remember when my sister had this album and she was apart of the BMG Music Club. She would always have the latest albums and this was just one of many. I would sit and listen to the title track which was one of my favorites.

For nearly 20 years, R. Kelly has wrote and produced many hits not only for himself but a host of female artists. At one time he was simply known for the songs he solely wrote and produced for females; many of them becoming anthems in their own rights. Check out some of those songs below! Truth Hurts - The Truth R. Kelly produced this underrated gem from Truth Hurts' debut album, Truthfully Speaking in which he also shares guest vocals. I like the thumping beat here and the lyrics of course which signal R. Kelly as the King of ghetto soul. Nivea - Laundromat Being label mates with R. Kelly has its perks.
