It was announced last week that singer, Tamar Braxton had filed for divorce from her husband/manager; Vincent Herbert. Vincent Herbert was once sister Toni Braxton's manager and I believe that's how Tamar and Vince met. Tamar and Vince have been together for 9 years but I'm unsure if they've been married for 9 years or not. This news comes on the heels of Tamar's recent statement that she was quitting music to focus on rebuilding her marriage. Well since the marriage didn't work out, will Tamar resume her music career? I do believe that being on reality TV may of played a part in the dissolution of Tamar and Vince's marriage. We've all seen friendships, relationships, and marriages dissolve right in front of our eyes on reality TV all for the sake of money. Rick Ross was put on blast by his baby mother via social media making several accusations towards the rap superstar. In her social media rant, she alleges that Ross didn't call his son for his birthday but was quick to call her when he learned of her appearing on the upcoming season of "Love & Hip Hop Miami"(airing in January on VH1). She also called out Ross for being infatuated with Birdman's feud with Lil' Wayne suggesting he find more important things to do with his time like call his son. Cardi B. is having the best week ever as her single, "Bodak Yellow" has FINALLY hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. "Bodak Yellow" is the first solo single from a female rapper to top the chart since 1998 when Lauryn Hill released "Doo Wop(That Thing)". Cardi has received congratulations from everyone from Missy Elliott to singer Taylor Swift(who sent the rapper flowers for her achievements). I would definitely say "Bodak Yellow" is the song of the Summer. Congrats to Cardi B. Trina makes cameo in video Frank Ocean finally released his new album via Apple Music as reported. The album, now titled, "Blond" features Ocean with green hair and his face covered. "Boys Don't Cry", the album's original title is now part of a book that Ocean will feature in several pop up shops around the world including in Chicago and L.A. As far "Blond" guests include Beyoncé, Jazmine Sullivan, and Kanye West. I'm currently listening to the album as I speak. I'm going to be honest, I'm not really feeling what I've heard so far. Beyoncé opened up the 2016 BET Awards last night with a performance of the song, "Freedom" and she was joined by Kendrick Lamar and abruptly left the show. Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson accepted Beyoncé's awards in her honor. Someone told me at work that Bey had to leave to go to London. Is that true? While I didn't personally watch the BET Awards telecast, I was informed through social media at many of the aha moments and performances. The "other" highlight of the show was the many Prince tributes in the form of Erykah Badu, Bilal, Janelle Monae, and Jennifer Hudson who brought the house down with "Purple Rain". So I got some news today about the Braxton sisters. It's a lot of news and I want to keep it as short as possible. I'll start with Toni Braxton first who brought out Birdman at her concert last night. There had been rumors of Toni and Birdman dating and her bringing him out last night seemed to confirm those rumors. If that wasn't enough, Toni warned everyone to "put some respeck on his name". Azealia Banks got her ass arrested a few nights ago after being denied entry in an invite only club. The bouncer didn't recognize her until someone else did. Once they let her in, she started back on to bouncer and before you know it all hell broke loose. According to reports, Azealia bit the a female in the breast. Former Danity Kane members Aubrey O'Day and Shannon Bex visited the infamous radio show, "The Breakfast Club" two days ago and they spilled a lot of tea. First they say Dawn was the main culprit for the group's split the second time. Aubrey alleges that back in the day, Dawn was responsible for creating rumors about certain members of Danity Kane and it was discovered on their fansite that the IP address of an user being rude was that of Dawn's. Aubrey also spoke about the time that Dawn came up to the studio to reconcile with Shannon and Aubrey over a mix up in tour dates which resulted in Dawn soccer punching Aubrey in the head. The song, Good Morning leaked out but will not be publicly released has caused many questions wondering how much of a role did Future play in Beyonce's latest hit. There's been the insinuation that Beyonce stole the song from Futue but when asked, Future said no such thing happened. We all know Beyonce has a history of not being the most original artist and it has in turn caused her a little controversy over the years. Silly me, typed up this blog post and forgot to post it. So its a day or so old but better late than never! So here we go...Toni Braxton and Babyface will release their new single Where Did We Go Wrong? on iTunes on December 17. It is the second single to be lifted from their upcoming album Love, Marriage & Divorce due this February. The duo will perform a live concert to air on TvOne on February 8. Speaking of groups...members of group Day 26 have reunited. The Bad Boy formed group released two albums on the Bad Boy label and are back together! The group will appear on 106 & Park next month to promote their reunion tour. First there was Danity Kane and now its Day 26. Hey! I'm all for groups reuniting. Its good that groups can put aside their differences and get back together and make music for the fans.

Another one bites the dust. The collaborative effort between Babyface and Toni Braxton, Love, Marriage, and Divorce has been pushed back until February 4. The album was originally scheduled to be released this December. The album features the single Hurt You . Those surprised say "I"! I guess a push back was inevitable for Babyface and Toni Braxton. R&B albums get pushed back a dozen times before they make their final release date. Don't be surprised by this next story. Pharrell has spoken out about Beyonce's new album saying the singer is a "perfectionist" and the album will be out when its "ready". Whatever that means! Hopefully Beyonce' fans can look forward to a new album sometime next year. I'm not the biggest Beyonce' fan so with that being said I'm not all that pressed about a new album but I did like her last album, 4 so I'm interested in seeing what she has in store this time around. Toni Braxton and Babyface reveal the provocative cover art for their new album which is due in stores on November 25. Don't mark my words on that release date. This is according to Essence magazine. I've read plenty of dates for this album and I'm not sure on the actual date. I'd check Amazon.com they'd probably have the REAL date.
