Bobby V.(song: "Slow Down") is going to court over claims that he was extorted by a transgender woman. Remember Bobby V. was caught with his pants down on video after an alleged tryst with a transgender prostitute. I can't believe this mess is being dragged into the courts. I think its pretty pointless. At the end of the day if Bobby V. does indeed deal with transgender prostitutes from time to time then that's his business. I don't think anyone really cares. I think people were more surprised he was caught on tape. People didn't seem to care that he messed with transgender women and I don't care either. R. Kelly has come out and denied claims that he had sex with an underage girl(at the time) who says she was apart of his alleged sex cult. The woman in question spoke candidly on video detailing how she had to ask permission to do certain things(like eat, shit, sleep, and when to talk). There's so much speculation as to what's true and what...

The woman accusing Usher of not disclosing his sexual history spoke in a live press conference with attorney Lisa Bloom by her side. The video clip quickly went viral and inspired a host of memes poking fun at the accuser. Cardi B(formely of "Love & Hip Hop New York") current single, "Bodak Yellow" has just reached #14 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Cardi B. sets a record for the first female rapper to land a top 15 solo hit in some time. Congratulations to Cardi B. on her accomplishment! Could "Bodak Yellow" be poised to hit the Top 10 next week? Stay tuned. "DeGeneres Queen" aka the "Feature Queen" bka(better known as) Nicki Minaj is also having a great week. Her collaboration with Future, "You Da Baddest" just became her 80th chart hit. At Nicki's rate she'll be celebrating her 100th hit in no time. Just think of all the collaborations Nicki has in the works that hasn't even been announced yet let alon...

By now you've likely heard about R&B singer Bobby V. being caught on tape with his pants down. After an alleged sexual encounter with a transgender woman, the video of Bobby V. leaving the apartment quickly went viral. Social media was on fire. Snoop Dogg posted a video urging Bobby V. that they needed to talk. Former collaborator Yung Joc poked fun at the video by recreating it. Now Bobby V. has spoken out and says that he was "extorted" once the transgender woman found out he was a celebrity. He also said that he didn't know he was meeting a transgender woman. This debacle caused a major rift in the transgender community when comedian Lil' Duval appeared on the nationally syndicated radio show, "The Breakfast Club". Lil' Duval spoke about how transgender woman should reveal if they are transgender and failure to do so could result in someone getting hurt(or "shot" in his words). The comments sent shockwaves through social media and ...

Bobby V. has everyone talking and this time its not for his music. Save for a few appearances on VH1's "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta", we haven't heard much from Bobby V. musically. But according to his social media page, he still makes music and has trysts with transgender women. A video has surfaced of the singer as he bolts out of an apartment of a transgender woman he had just had sex with. The story goes, according to reports is that once Bobby V. failed to pay the prostitute transgender woman her flat rate; she cut on her camera and began to record him. Bobby V. is seen with just a shirt on as he tries to cover his face with his shorts. He had no bottoms on and you can see some of his business(his penis) if you look close enough. The video goes by pretty fast since Bobby V. is trying to make a dash out of the apartment. He goes behind a curtain and bolts to the door where the transgender has her camera phone in his face. He pushes her away and runs to the kitche...

I think I've said this before, once you've done a blog as long as I have, you think you've run out of things to talk about. I think I may of rehashed some topics on here over the years but there's nothing like a fresh update. Over the last few years we have seen several of our Black R&B artists shift from major record labels to indie record labels. Some of the moves have been shocking at best. Some artists have greatly been impacted by moving to an indie label while other artists have suffered and struggle to keep their careers afloat. I have compiled a list of R&B artists who have famously left(or been dropped) from their major labels and now are indie artists. Check it out! Faith Evans Faith's first five albums were released through such record labels as Bad Boy, Arista, and Capitol Records. It was after her brief stint with L.A. based Capitol Records that Faith Evans chose to release her next recording, Something About Faith on eOne Records. The album was...

Beyonce pregnant? That's one of the first headlines I saw today while surfing the web in search of news. Indeed Beyonce wants more children but as of right now Beyonce's pregnancy is a big fat RUMOR. Currently Beyonce is on her The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour which ends in August 5 in Brooklyn, New York. While I was still on Facebook scrolling down my news feed I saw a story about an alleged sex tape starring Bobby V. Allegedly the video is being shopped around and it stars Bobby V. getting it in with a famous video vixen. Wow is all I can say! Some people will do anything for a little attention. Remember the duo Changing Faces? They were responsible for the hits Foolin' Around and Stroke You Up ? Well they are back with a new single and new album titled Hate Love which is available on iTunes now! The album is said to be released this Summer. I've always liked Changing Faces and their music. I remember reading little things here and there regarding their return to mus...

Put It In appears on Bobby V's recently released album From Dusk Til Dawn.

Mirror is the first single and video from Bobby V.'s upcoming album Dusk Till Dawn . The album is due October 2. The album features Kirko Bangz and K. Michelle.

Bobby V. is coming back with a vengeance or at least I like to think he is. I always secretly root for the underdogs; those I like anyway and Bobby V. is no exception. I feel like Bobby V. makes pretty exceptional music most of the time. For his new album Dusk Till Dawn due October 2; Bobby V. is collaborating with old friend and frequent partner Lil' Wayne on the first single Mirror . The song is set to premiere Wednesday May 30. I'm still scratching my head at whose idea it was to prolong Chris Brown's new album Fortune . The album due July 3 has just seen its tracklisting revealed which comes in Standard and Deluxe edition like most albums these days. Chris has already had enough hit singles to release the album now but oh well. Peep the tracklisting below:  1. “Turn Up the Music” 2. “Bassline” 3. “Till I Die” feat. Big Sean & Wiz Khalifa 4. “Mirage” feat. Nas 5. “Don’t Judge Me” 6. “2012” 7. “Biggest Fan” 8. “Sweet Love” 9. “Strip” feat. Kevin McCa...

T.I. has changed his album title to "Troubled Man" which personally describes him to a tee. The title will definitely live up to his name since T.I. is always in trouble. It was funny watching T.I. along with wife; Tiny being interviewed on "The Wendy Williams Show". T.I. basically ignored or dismissed any questions regarding his stint in prison or any gun charges. I think he just wants a clean slate and also for the new TV show and upcoming album to speak for itself. No harm there! Bobby V. will release a new mixtape; "Vitamin V" which will feature the single; "Naked". The mixtape will be released on December 20. An album is to follow in Summer 2012. Bobby V. may not sell many units like some of his other counterparts but he does grind; I will give him that. ---------------- Now playing: Monica - Let's Straighten It Out ft. Usher via FoxyTunes

I'm not sure if this is the next single from Bobby's "Fly On The Wall" album or if its just a viral video. If the video does air on TV; they would obviously have to censor it a bit as this is pretty steamy. I was just thinking we've seen a lot of videos like this lately from other male singers such as Trey Songz, Marques Houston, Omarion, and Mario. ---------------- Now playing: Ray J - Good Girl Gone Bad (feat. Shorty Mack) via FoxyTunes

Is it just me or does J-LO and Pitbull not have any scenes together in this video? Unless I missed it. I actually sat through this video because I don't sit through many. If they didn't appear in any scenes together I'm wondering was it because of scheduling conflicts or was husband; Marc Anthony pulling one of his infamous fits. Can't get too close to J-LO! I was just thinking J-LO reminds me of Beyonce in the sense that both women are ambitious. They go after what they want and they both work hard. J-LO is really making the most of this "comeback" and after all; she should! Music Biz: Bobby V. Releases New Album Tracklisting I'm still not used to referring to Bobby Valentino as Bobby V. even though he would refer to himself as that in various songs. Check out the tracklisting to his new album below: 1. Fly On The Wall (Intro) 2. Are You The Right One 3. Words 4. If I Can’t Have You 5. Sweetness 6. Would You Be 7. Rock Wit’cha 8. Hang On 9. Fly On The Wal...

On February 12, Chris Brown will be the musical guest on NBC's "SNL". Make sure you look out for that! Some people on a message board I was visiting wasn't too happy with Chris being on there for some reason. I don't know why though. I mean Chris is popular again and has a lot of hits right now and that's what "SNL" wants. Can you blame them? Kelly Price has pushed her new album back a week to April 5. Kelly Price's new album, "Kelly" features the new single, "Not My Daddy" featuring Stokely of Mint Condition. The new album will also featured "Tired" which was nominated for a Grammy! Be on the lookout for the new album! Bobby V. will release, "Rock Wit'cha" as his next single and third off his new album, "Fly On The Wall" which will be in stores March 22. The song just happens to be a remake of Bobby Brown's song. I haven't heard this yet but unlike Omarion's cover of Jodeci's ...

Bobby V. will release his new album, "Fly On The Wall" will be released on October 12. The album features the first single, "Phone #" featuring Plies. The song was produced by Jazze Pha. The album will feature production from The Pentagon(worked with Beyonce), LOS(worked with Usher), and Tim & Bob(who worked with Bobby V.). Brandy & Ray J will return on October 24 with the second season of their VH1 reality show, "Brandy & Ray J: A Family Business". The second season will follow Brandy as she prepares her upcoming album and balance motherhood. Ray J will also be finishing his album up as well which is being spearheaded by Rodney Jerkins. If you've been living under a rock, you've heard about Fantasia being sued. The singer was dating a married man and now his wife is suing her for millions. To add insult to injury there is an alleged sex tape in existence. Sex tapes don't hurt careers though. In other news Fantasia was recently hosp...

Bobby V. formerly Bobby Valentino recently released his first single; "Phone #" featuring Plies. The song is the first single from his upcoming album; "Fly On A Wall". The upcoming album features appearances by Jazze Pha; who produced the first single. Bobby V. is hoping to have guests Lil' Wayne, Rick Ross, Gucci Mane, and Monica fill out the album due in stores October 12. I liked Bobby's last album; "The Rebirth" and with me liking "Phone #" I'm definitely looking forward to this one. All the rumors about The-Dream messing around on Christina Milian have been confirmed! The two have officially split up! Apparently the two called it quits in late 2009; just months after their wedding. The two decided to keep the news a secret but it wasn't long before the claims started. Recently pictures of The-Dream and his publicist at the beach leaked out and added to the speculation. The-Dream's most recent album; "Love King" ...

I can still remember when I first heard this song and it was back in 2005. I instantly liked this song and this is one of my favorite songs by Bobby Valentino.

I think it is a question many people wanted to know including myself. Here; the former lead singer of Floetry talks about the group's demise; her upcoming projects; and more. Check it out! Music Biz: Bobby V. Returns With New Album! Bobby V, also known as Bobby Valentino, is prepping for the release of his fourth studio album, "Fly On The Wall". A follow up to the 2009 effort "The Rebirth," the effort is the former DTP Records recording artist's second release under his label, Blu Kolla Dreams. Set for release summer/fall 2010, Bobby V's "Fly On The Wall" already features a reunion with the hitmaking producers behind his debut single "Slow Down," Tim & Bob. In addition to Tim & Bob, the "Beep" and "Anonymous" singer is also working with Jazze Pha (Ciara). Since 2005 Bobby V has released three albums, including his 2005 debut, which spawned the hit singles "Slow Down" and "Tell Me". He ha...

Depending on your taste in music and preferably R&B, these albums are not to be ignored. They weren't exactly my favorites but they came pretty darn close. And for that they get a honorable mention. Starting with Bobby Valentino, find out what other albums I personally liked and which ones are really worth checking out! Enjoy! The Rebirth, Bobby Valentino This album is not bad by any means. I mean Bobby isn't my favorite when it comes to male singers but he did a good job on this album. He did show that he is still capable of coming back even after splitting with DTP hence the title, 'Rebirth'. Some of my favorite songs include 'Another Life' and 'Hands On Me'. A Man's Thoughts, Ginuwine I'm seeing that I liked a lot more albums from males this year. One, because a lot of males released albums this year and they just happened to do a good job with these albums. Like Bobby, Ginuwine returned after being gone for awhile. He hit us with the hit ...

Last week saw the release of naked pictures of Rihanna and Cassie. Later on there were semi nude pictures of Lenny Kravitz leaked out but by the singer himself. Wow! Based on all that activity I came up with poll for "What artist would you like to see naked?". I will be honest when I came up with the artists to include, I went somewhat by popularity. I forgot the fact that we did see Ciara somewhat nude on Vibe last year. Now for the results. No surprise that Beyonce came in at #1 with 29% of the vote. Following closely behind was Keri Hilson with 23%. My friend was wondering who would want to see Keri Hilson naked. (No offense to anyone who does). He was joking though. Anyway Ciara surprisingly came in 3rd with 22%. You can check out the rest of the list below as follows: Christina Milian - 17% Lil' Wayne - 16% Alicia Keys - 15% None of them - 13% Kanye West - 8% 50 Cent - 6% Jay-Z - 4% Other - 4% The-Dream - 3% Umm... - 3% ---------------- Now playing: Bobby Valentino -...
