Kanye West is making news for showing up during "American Idol" auditions. The rapper performed his hit single, "Gold Digger". I'm sure the surprise appearance will air this season on "American Idol". John Legend and his wife have announced that they are with child. This is the first child for both. Congrats! Rita Ora says she wanted to remake "Lady Marmalade" made famous by Patti LaBelle complete with Charli XCX, Miley Cyrus, and Iggy Azalea. Iggy immediately responded and said she wants no part of the collaboration! Besides "Lady Marmalade" was already covered in the past by Pink, Missy Elliott, Lil' Kim, Christina Aguilera, and Mya. Not to say that it can't be made again but the whole idea orchestrated by Rita Ora was a very random thought. Maybe they all should try remaking a song that hasn't been remade yet. What do you think? GAME CHANGER: Beyoncé set precedence last year with her self-titled album. Now the record industry is taking notice and forcing record companies to release new music on Friday. This global industry move will affect every country. So when an album is released on Friday here in the States, its released every where else. This is a ploy the record companies are hoping will help cut down on piracy. But why Friday though? I'm not sure why. I think music should be released on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Then again when you think about it, by Friday everyone should have their paycheck and they can go out and purchase the new release from their said favorite artist. Any news is better than no news. A JAGGED ERA: Jagged Edge is set to make their return to music. It's funny because just the other day the group popped up in my mind. I had wondered what had become of them. Well now my questions have been answered. Brothers, Brian and Brandon Casey have wrote the album's first single Hope which premieres tomorrow. The song was produced by Bryan Michael Cox(worked with Usher). Hope will appear on Jagged Edges' new album JE Heartbreak Too, a sequel to their 2000 hit album JE Heartbreak. She feels the title is used too loosely these days which it is. She says she's a "woman who sings her heart out and puts 120 percent" in, which we're aware of. So what do you think about what Ms. Patti has to say? Do you agree or do you think she's just being a bitter old woman? I dunno. Some of our favorite artists as well as some veteran artists will take part in several Super Bowl performances leading up to the actual Super Bowl. Read more below: En Vogue, Patti LaBelle, and Bret Michaels are among the artists who will perform in free concerts during the week leading up to the Super Bowl in Indianapolis. The Super Bowl Host Committee made the announcement Wednesday at a news conference at Lucas Oil Stadium, site of the Feb. 5 game. The artists will perform on stages along Georgia Street beginning Jan. 27. 5. A specific schedule was not announced. Other artists scheduled to appear include Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Corey Cox, Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, Edwin McCain, Fitz & the Tantrums, Fuel, Here Come the Mummies, IU's Straight No Chaser, LMFAO, O.A.R, Railroad Earth, Sixpence None the Richer, Umphrey's McGee and Will Hoge. Don't mess with these R&B/Hip Hop divas as they have all been known to attack. This is only half the list. Foxy Brown She has had quite a few famous run ins with law which she has become notorious for. Over the years Foxy Brown has allegedly mooned her neighbor, attacked the same neighbor with a BlackBerry a la Naomi Campbell style, and fought with a nail technician. Of course Foxy would proclaim her innocence but its things like this that has gave Foxy Brown a nasty rep. Foxy has been pretty quiet as of late which is a good and bad thing. The couple live in a Manhattan building where the Grammy Award-winning singer stayed for a time while appearing in the Broadway musical "Fela!" last fall, said the Monks' lawyer, Samuel L. Davis. He said LaBelle chastised Roseanna Monk for letting the toddler take some steps away from the mother as she grappled with some luggage and a car seat in the building's lobby on the afternoon of Nov. 11, 2010. VH1 decided to bring back its "Divas Live" franchise but without an actual 'diva' to honor, this time opting to just go with some fresh face up and coming divas. Clearly there is nothing wrong with that but Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey could of gotten a tribute this year.
