Michael Jackson's sudden death has saddened and shocked everyone. Yesterday while at my mom's house, my friend texted me saying "Michael Jackson had went into cardiac arrest". Later on once I got home my other friend texted me saying "Michael Jackson has died!". Boy was I shocked! I turned on the TV and I didn't see anything about it. Finally I came across the BBC network and it revealed that unconfirmed reports were stating that Micheal had indeed died. With Michael's sudden passing on June 25, it was later discovered that there is an eerie following of celebrities who have died on the 25th day of the month. Well...well Pleasure P finally releases the artwork for his debut solo album, "The Introduction of Marcus Cooper". If you were unaware Marcus Cooper is Pleasure P's government name. The oft-delayed album is set to be released on June 5. Personally I think the album should of already been released. I am looking forward to Pleasure's album(as I'm sure a lot of other people are too). A lot of the leaked songs including, "Chocolate Coated Candy" and "Patience" featuring Static Major are some of my favorites and I hope they do make the album. In honor of Aaliyah's 30th birthday(January 16), I bring to you a special album spotlight on Aaliyah's last full-length album, "Aaliyah". The summer of 2001 was a year that was full of awesome albums. "Aaliyah" was one of them! It took a minute before the album actually grew on me. The album was so different from anything Aaliyah did. It also didn't sound like anything that was out at the time. Singer/songwriter the late Static Major was responsible for writing the bulk of the album's material. His unique and poetic style of songwriting is what truly makes this album a gem. The album was led off by the Timbaland-assisted single, "We Need A Resolution". The video found Aaliyah cozying up rather comfortable to a huge snake. The album's second single, "Rock The Boat" was a Caribbean-flavored mid tempo groove.
