Rapper, Remy Ma has just signed a multi-million dollar deal with Columbia Records(Beyoncé's record label) which will release her next album. The album's first single has been revealed and its her collaboration with Lil' Kim titled, "Wake Me Up" which is said to be a Nicki Minaj dis. It was just a month or so ago when Remy Ma and Lil' Kim posed for a picture in the studio speaking of their upcoming collaboration. A video for the single has been shot and pictures acquired from TMZ show the rappers alongside a sports car and standing alongside one another in an undisclosed location. In the song, Remy is said to attack Nicki's relationship with Nas among other things. It looks like things are about to get much worse between Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj. So 2017 has shaped up to be quite the year for stripper turned former reality TV star turned rapper, Cardi B. Her single, "Bodak Yellow" ruled the Hot 100 charts for 3 weeks and a few days ago she was on stage with her boyfriend, Offset from Migos when he proposed to her. Friday saw the release of the new Migos record, "Motor Sport" featuring Cardi B. and Nicki Minaj. News of the record quickly spread and before you know it was trending on Twitter and had everyone drawing comparisons as to had the best verse between Cardi and Nicki. Some people allege that both ladies were subliminally dissing each other since the media(and fans) have been trying to pit both ladies against one another. Fans of Lil' Kim and Remy Ma are rejoicing after pictures surfaced of the two female rappers in the studio. Lil' Kim shared the pictures via her Instagram page as did Remy Ma. Both women are working on new albums but whose album will this collaboration appear on remains to be seen. Janet Jackson has been back in the news thanks in part to her "State of the World" tour but she is also in the news regarding her impending divorce. Janet's brother, Randy has spoken out to People magazine saying Janet was verbally abused during her marriage. Janet's husband allegedly referred to Janet as a "bitch" during her pregnancy. Just when we thought Remy Ma was over her feud with Nicki Minaj, she adds more fuel to the fire. On Sunday's telecast of MTV's Video Music Awards, Remy Ma called out Nicki Minaj saying "Nicki, what's good?" during a recorded segment with former BET VJ(Video Jockey) Terrance J. In the segment, Terrance J and Remy Ma are standing alongside one another. Terrance J mentions how Miley Cyrus had just stepped on his foot and that was when Remy Ma uttered the famous words Nicki Minaj once recited at Miley Cyrus during the Video Music Awards a few years prior. Of course the gesture started making the rounds on the blogs and social media platforms. I mean I'm not mad at Remy for calling out Nicki. Foxy Brown continues to be an Internet gangster and stir the pot. The controversial rapper who has been sparring with Remy Ma over the years released her own dis track, "Break's Over" a few months ago. The song, however was not commercially released and was simply released in a snippet form to underground and blog circuits. In the wee hours of the morning, Foxy Brown posted a video to her social media account of herself in a SUV reciting the lyrics to the dis track while it played in the background. Foxy was en route to a performance adorned in a pink Moschino hat and track suit. Surprisingly, Nicki Minaj caught wind of the video and commented that Foxy looked "beautiful". Foxy also confirmed rumors that she has a daughter by shouting out her "dawta" on Instagram. Foxy has been teasing music now for the past 13 years and she has yet to put out a full length project. Just a few days ago Brandy was subliminally dissing someone on social media and many thought it was rumored boo, gospel singer; Sir The Baptist. Well low and behold, Brandy and her companion were seen together via her social media page and all is well. Remy Ma took home the award for Best Female Rapper last night at the BET awards breaking Nicki Minaj's 7 year streak! Remy definitely deserved the honor in my opinion. Someone pointed out the fact that Remy was the only nominee that actually released an album this year(her joint album with Fat Joe) which I didn't even realize. Female rappers have no problems putting out songs or getting on features but putting out albums is a totally different story. Congrats to Remy Ma for her win! Now as far as the BET awards is concerned, I was not home to watch the telecast as I was out being social. I did however had the ability to capture the most talked about moments and performances thanks to social media. As I suspected Beyoncé reportedly gave birth to twin babies earlier in the week. The babies however remain hospitalized because of a "minor issue". Congrats to Beyoncé and family and hope her babies have a speedy recovery. So in the never ending saga between Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj, both ladies performed at a concert in ATL(Atlanta) with Remy Ma taking the stage first and Nicki Minaj later on. In a video that has since gone viral, Nicki Minaj called out her detractors(Remy Ma) regarding her status in the game(in the industry) by spelling out P R A G U E(noting that an unnamed person(Remy Ma perhaps) can't spell) before bragging and strutting to her airplane. The video has since birthed what is being called the "#NickiMinajChallenge" where it features regular social media users as well as celebrities(actress: Zoe Kravitz) mimicking Nicki's strut after proclaiming their own frustrations in a comical way(sheesh I tried to explain the video as best I could and I still don't think I did a good job). New York's annual Summer Jam went down last night and it was a night to remember for several reasons. Remy Ma was one of the featured performers and for her set she brought out some legendary women in Hip Hop including MC Lyte, Rah Digga, Lady of Rage(song: "Afro Puffs"), Monie Love(song: "It's A Shame"), Queen Latifah, Lil' Kim, and newbies Cardi B("Love & Hip Hop New York), and Young M.A.(song: "Ooo"). Lil' Kim joined Remy Ma on stage to perform her verse from Mobb Deep's "Quiet Storm Remix" and Queen Latifah came out to perform "U N I T Y". Once the love fest between the women were over. Good evening all! Nicki Minaj strikes again! A snippet of rapper 2 Chainz and Nicki Minaj's new song titled, "Realize"(from his album, "Pretty Girls Like Trap Music" due June 16) has surfaced after someone recorded footage of the song playing at a listening party. In the song, Nicki alleges, "Papoose wrote the "(SH)Ether" record but I broke Aretha record". Those are some interesting lyrics there but based on the snippet I heard the song sounds a little underwhelming. Perhaps I have to hear the song in full. Just a few days ago Remy Ma released a remix to Future's "Mask Off" song and that wasn't any better. I just don't like Remy on that "Mask Off" beat. I saw on Twitter that Beyoncé's team sent a letter to a fan who ran a website selling unauthorized merchandise. The fan who is allegedly said to be very young pleaded with Beyoncé and her team to not pursue legal action. I believe her team was simply telling her to stop selling the merchandise but she could still have her fan site. The reason being is Beyoncé's name is trademarked so if you are going to use her name(for say like a clothing design where her name appears), you have to get permission. Now who you go through to do all that, I don't know but because I'm not in the business of designing clothes. The feud between Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma continues to heat up as Nicki Minaj snatches Nas and Remy Ma takes shots at Nicki on TV and in a new collaboration. Earlier this week Nicki Minaj sent everyone into a frenzy when she revealed a snap shot of her and rapper Nas hugged up in a restaurant. The caption red "When KINGS support QUEENS" with several emojis to follow. The picture immediately led everyone to believe that the two rappers were dating though I can't quite figure if that was Nicki's way of making it official or was this just a meeting of the minds at a restaurant. If Nicki Minaj and Nas are in fact dating its quite interesting for two reasons. One, Nas appeared in Nicki Minaj's video a few years ago, I think it was "Right By My Side" with Chris Brown where she kissed Nas at the end of the video. Beyoncé has reached a 100 million followers on Instagram and is the 4th person to do so. Beyoncé recently made an appearance out with her cousin during a birthday party. In other music news, sides are being chose once again when it comes to the feud between Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj. Reality TV stars Premadonna and Tommie("Love & Hip Hop Atlanta") have dogged Remy's former friend, Rah Ali for jumping ship to Nicki Minaj. Rah and Nicki claim to have been friends prior to the falling out between Remy and Nicki. Rah makes an appearance in Nicki's video for "No Frauds" which debuted earlier today. So whose side are you on? Nicki or Remy? While you all decide on that, Chris Brown's ex; Karrueche is being blasted by Brown's lawyer. He claims that Karrueche is simply using Brown's name in the press to garner attention and has yet to serve Brown with the restraining order. Karrueche's own people shot back denying the claims.

If you've heard Nicki Minaj's "No Frauds" song, Nicki recites a line about "Rah took you to her doc, but you don't look like Rah". Rah Ali is a former friend of Remy Ma and they appeared on the "Love & Hip Hop New York". The two had a minor falling out on the show and apparently the fallout has went beyond the reality TV realm. Ashanti revealed that she has new music on the way during a recent interview. She says the song, "Lose Yourself" is unlike anything we've ever heard from her. We will be the judges of that but I do hope it is good. Ashanti recently wrapped up an overseas tour. I believe she is featured on the upcoming 2 Pac biopic soundtrack. It was produced by her friend and collaborator, LT Hutton(worked with Da Brat). Remy Ma is featured on the remix to Mariah Carey's single, "I Don't". It is a shady move from Carey who famously feuded with Remy's current nemesis, Nicki Minaj when they appeared on "American Idol" together. Nicki Minaj's new song, "Regret In Your Tears" is being touted as a Party Next Door(song: "Not Nice") knock off and Nicki Minaj quickly defended the song by denying the accusations. Party Next Door's screenshots of his Twitter likes reveals he was feeling similar to others about the song's similarity in his melodies and so forth. I do notice that Nicki is always blasting men(Safaree, Trey Songz, Party Next Door) publicly and women(Remy Ma etc.) privately. Nicki finally responds. Low and behold Nicki Minaj FINALLY responded to Remy Ma's "shEther" dis! Late last night Nicki unveiled not one but three new songs. "No Frauds" featuring Drake and Lil' Wayne takes aim at Remy Ma and some of the claims she's made on "shEther". On the song Nicki says Remy Ma has also had surgery to look like friend and reality star, Rah Ali. She also made light of the fact that Remy went to jail over a stack(of money)  and how could she leave her son for so long for her dumb decision basically. The song was met with mixed response. Nicki fans immediately embraced the song and its commercial appeal. Others feel that Nicki should have come harder and I agree. Yes! I'm glad Nicki finally responded but I was expecting something along the lines of "Romans Revenge" when Nicki really came hard. Fat Joe and Remy Ma released their joint album, "Plata O Plomo"(Money or Bullets) on February 17. The album contains the hit single, "All The Way Up", "Cookin'" and "Money Showers". The album features a star studded list of guests including Sevyn Streeter and The-Dream(song: "Heartbreak"). The opening track, "Warning" is pure New York Hip Hop and features a tour de force verse from Remy Ma who takes shots at some unnamed adversaries(Foxy Brown). Remy really earns her stripes on this album as she out raps Fat Joe in my opinion. She is really spittin' on this album as if her life depended on it. "Spaghetti" is a standout with vocals from Kent Jones(song: "I Don't Mind"), who guests vocals on a few songs. The legendary Stephanie Mill guests on "Dreamin'". "How Can I Forget" is another standout. The whole album in my opinion is good for anyone who is a fan of female rap and...

Weeks ago Gucci Mane dropped his collaboration with Nicki Minaj titled, "Make Love". The song was to believed to have sparked the "shEther" diss from Remy Ma. Some have even said that Nicki's verse was aimed at Azealia Banks and Remy Ma has misfired. Remy explained on "Wendy" that Nicki was being sneaky and underhanded behind the scenes towards her. In typical Nicki fashion, the verse is full of punchlines and Nicki's quirkiness. One of the reasons why I decided to even highlight this song and give it a review is because its one of my favorite songs right now. Its very catchy to me. My favorite line is "Sit your bum ass down you got an F on your test!".
