Mariah gets a special visitor Mariah Carey got a special visit from Beyoncé during her Christmas concert at the Beacon Theater in New York. The two posed for photos which later made the social media rounds and a second picture this time with both ladies and their kids. People poked fun at the fact that Beyoncé brought Blue Ivy, her daughter to play with Mariah's kids but won't bring Blue Ivy around North West, Kanye Wests' daughter.  Speaking of Kanye West, the rapper was seen meeting up with president elect Donald Trump at the Trump Tower. The move has shocked everyone and Kanye took to Twitter to express his reasons for meeting Donald Trump. Kanye tweeted that the two talked about violence in Chicago and curriculum among other things. Kanye also hashtagged "#2024" which I'm guessing is the year he plans to run for office as well. Azealia vs. RZA A few days ago Azealia Banks appeared on "Access Hollywood" detailing what went down that fateful night she was spat on and thrown out of a party in Hollywood. A day or so later RZA; who brought Azealia to the party says Russell Crowe did indeed "spit" on Azealia but did not call her the "n" word. Of course Azealia shot back labeling RZA an "ex-crackhead" who "doesn't take care of his 9 kids". Ouch!  And remember I reported that Mariah Carey's fiancé dumped her? Well I just saw a new report that says they are trying to work things out. I didn't read any further. To me, this seems like one big soap opera. I wonder are the cameras still rolling for Mariah's reality show docu-series. "Mariah's World" is set to air on E! in December. Will you be watching? Lots of news so I'm going to keep it short. MUSIC BITS: Beanie Sigel is out of the hospital after being shot awhile back. Lupe Fiasco is beefing with an artist who is upset over some beat and some other nonsense. Foxy Brown is still being as messy as her weave by trying to involve Nelly in her quest to get back at Ashanti after Ashanti posted a picture with Spragga Benz, Foxy's ex-boyfriend? Or maybe it is her boyfriend. You never know with Foxy though. No new music but yet you have time to try and pick a fight with Ashanti who is obviously paying you dust. Kevin McCall of Chris Brown Dueces fame is trying to win back his ex girlfriend and baby mama Eva Marcille by proclaiming his love for her via social media. Aww how cute! Until next time folks! Lupe Fiasco sits down with Ashanti(host of Fuse News ) to discuss his all black album cover.  Lupe's new album Food & Liquor II is in stores and online now.  

Lupe Fiasco plans to release his new album Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album Part 1 in stores and online September 25. The album contains the first single Around My Way(Freedom Ain't Free) . Lupe released his Gold album Lasers last year. Usher's new album Looking 4 Myself has leaked out one week before its street date June 12. The album contains the the hit singles Lemme See featuring Rick Ross, Scream , and Climax .  The singer recently made headlines for his appearances in court battling over custody of his children with ex-wife Tameka Foster.

So Ne-Yo wishes he would of kept, "Irreplaceable", the hit single he wrote for Beyonce. And then he wonders why people say the things they say about him. I'm just saying. I guess all the pushbacks and controversy has finally paid off for Lupe Fiasco as his new album, "Lasers" is set to debut at #1 next week on the Albums charts. The Chicago-born rapper—real name Wasalu Muhammad Jaco—arrives with his third Atlantic Records studio album, Lasers, which will debut at #1 next week with between 220-240k in sales, the second biggest of the year next to Adele and the best start of his career. Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor, his Grammy-winning 2006 debut, bowed at #8 with 81k sold, and went on to sell 350k. His second album, the multi-Grammy-nominated Lupe Fiasco’s Cool, debuted at #15 in Dec., 2007, selling 143k, going on to a total of more than 500k. I just read that Lupe Fiasco wanted to commit suicide over a song. I mean I understand times are tough but are they really that tough. Then again I know most musicians struggle especially those who aren't necessarily trailblazing in a commercial sense. Lupe Fiasco originally recorded the hit song; "Nothing On You" by B.O.B. featuring Bruno Mars. Record execs at his label; Atlantic Records told him his verses were "wack". It sounds like Atlantic Records are pretty crucial to their Urban division. Lil' Kim recently spoke out about how she fell out with the label and eventually stopped recording for them. Not to mention they piss poor job they did on Toni Braxton's last album; "Pulse" but also the material on that was mediocre. I know I'm rambling. Lupe has had so many problems with Atlantic Records and I think its a shame. Jennifer Lopez has a lot to celebrate not only due to her judging stint on "American Idol" but also the renewed...

That was the story I stumbled upon which is quite surprising. If you don't like your album and is not confident about; certainly I don't even want to bother wasting my time listening to it or downloading it. I know Lupe has his reasons for his distaste in the album since some of the concepts were watered down. Some of his rambling with label; Atlantic Records made things even worse. Fans of his rallied outside the label's office and boycotted pledging the label to release the album; it worked. Lupe's "Lasers" will be in stores and online March 8. Single; "The Show Goes On" was recently certified Gold. I just reported some news on Kelly Rowland's new single, "Motivation" and now I have more news to go with that. The single features Lil' Wayne and is also the title of the new album. The album has a working release date of April 12. I say "working" because you know R&B releases typically get pushed back more than enough...

It's been a tough road for Lupe Fiasco for the last few months or so; maybe more. I kept reading things about the impending release of his album, "Lasers" which has a release date of March 8. I even remember reading about some of his fans protesting in front of Atlantic Records for them to release the album. I take it their protests worked. I remember the hype around Lupe Fiasco when he first hit the scene but I never bought into the hype. I definitely believe in milking an album for all its worth. Such is the case with Trey Songz' latest album; 'Ready'. I was just on a message board where it unanimous that Trey Songz was releasing singles way too fast off this album. Well with the success he has had thus far; Trey has so signs of slowing down.
