Apparently Chris Brown's ex Karrueche(sp) is off limits to any and everyone except Nev from "Catfish". In recent weeks both Marques Houston and The Game were called out by Chris Brown and/or his cohorts. Marques Houston was outed last week liking one of Karruche's pictures. And The Game started following her on social media, making Karrueche the only person he follows on Instagram. Well the news got out to Chris Brown who made a statement regarding the matter somewhat calling The Game out. Well The Game responded with his own series of shade by posting a video poking fun of Chris Brown. The Game took things a step further by insinuating that one of Chris Brown's friends vandalized his car. The Game has been feverishly looking for the guy responsible. The accused, a friend of Chris' say that's not him in a video where The Game's car is being vandalized. But The Game warned the guy that he will pay the price for his dirty deed. I was pleasantly surprised that I ended up liking this album. Marques' debut single from this album; "Because Of You" was probably my least favorite song on the album; still I had an interest in the album. This is the album that made me become a fan of Marques' "Grown & Sexy" style of R&B even though its not so evident on this album as it is on the predecessor; "Veteran". This is when Marques started growing up and taking himself a little more serious as a solo artist in my opinion. It was totally exploited on "Veteran" but it was still good. The real hit single from this album was "Naked" and the video was pretty racy and a D'Angelo "How Does It Feel" rip off to many. There was the Neptunes sounding; "Something Else" which is my favorite. There is the scorned "Cheat" and the freaky "Do You Mind". And some of you may already have heard it because it leaked out a few weeks ago. It's called "Always" but someone was saying how it wouldn't appear on Trina's new album but they were wrong. Monica is pretty hot right now so why not choose the single that features Monica. The "Million Dollar Girl" single had some potential but I don't think they used it to their advantage and I'm blaming all collaborative parties as well i.e. Diddy & Keri Hilson. Marques Houston won me over as a fan with his "Naked" album(which I will likely do an album spotlight feature on in the future). So I was really looking forward to his "Veteran" album though I never truly cared for the singles "Favorite Girl" and "Circle" but everything else I liked. Marques Houston makes music for the grown and sexy in my opinion. His music particularly on this album is really smooth and I think its perfect for someone of my age group(26 and up). The album starts off with an intro with Marques talking about his past and his status as a "Veteran". Once you hear what he has to say; then it all makes since from there. With music presented on the disc as it is; you do get a sense of a veteran making this album. It is definitely someone who has experience making music and capturing a certain mood. I searched long and hard for a proper throwback video especially from a male since I haven't put up any(from men) in awhile. Marques Houston is a singer I like a lot. I know a lot of people hate on him but that makes me like him even more. Marques hooked up with not only Joe Budden(who raps on the song) but R. Kelly who is responsible for this beat.
