Remember last year when Danity Kane announced they were reuniting? All five fans rejoiced when the now trio released their hit single Lemonade featuring Tyga. Shortly after the release of Lemonade , Danity Kane had some inner group squabbles which resulted in a fight between Dawn Richard and Aubrey O'Day in a recording studio. Danity Kane later released their DK3 (I think that's the name of it) album to little fanfare. If that wasn't enough original member Aundrea previously reunited with the group but for some reason dropped out. I'm not really sure why but I remember people saying she couldn't keep up with the footwork on tour and she was probably tired of all the arguing going on within the group again. And just two months ago Jodeci reunited after 20 said years to perform a bevy of their hits on the Soul Train Awar ds. Da Brat released her single; "That's What I'm Looking For" in 2000 and it appears on the soundtrack to the Martin Lawrence movie; "Big Momma's House" but also her third album; "Unrestricted". Foxy Brown She has had quite a few famous run ins with law which she has become notorious for. Over the years Foxy Brown has allegedly mooned her neighbor, attacked the same neighbor with a BlackBerry a la Naomi Campbell style, and fought with a nail technician. Of course Foxy would proclaim her innocence but its things like this that has gave Foxy Brown a nasty rep. Foxy has been pretty quiet as of late which is a good and bad thing. India Arie is returning to the music scene this summer with a new album; "Open Door". The singer describes this album as a mix of songs in standard English language(of course!) but also in Hebrew. Hebrew? That's correct! Should be interesting! India wanted to stray away from the normal thing but I feel she's always done that anyway. Ever since the Da Brat has been out of jail, she has been getting a rather large amount of press(in my opinion). I mean it is a rather big deal when a musician gets out of jail. I think her release from prison kind of overshadowed Mobb Deep's Prodigy; neither here nor there. Anyway Da Brat revealed that during her prison stint that everyone wanted her and I bet she wanted them too. She insisted that her "goodies" were not gotten during her stint. Yeah right! If you don't like your album and is not confident about; certainly I don't even want to bother wasting my time listening to it or downloading it. I know Lupe has his reasons for his distaste in the album since some of the concepts were watered down. Some of his rambling with label; Atlantic Records made things even worse. Fans of his rallied outside the label's office and boycotted pledging the label to release the album; it worked. Lupe's "Lasers" will be in stores and online March 8.
