Any news is good news. Greetings on this beautiful Sunday. The lovely Faith Evans will be bringing us new music to our ears very soon. The singer has enlisted Missy Elliott for her new single I Deserve It along with Missy's artist Sharaya J.(Who?). The new single was produced by longtime collaborator Chucky Thompson(worked with Mary J.) Faith's new album Incomparable is due later this year. I'm just hoping that Faith really brings it this time. Her last two albums sucked monkey balls and I'm a Faith Evans fan. With a title like 'Incomparable' she better deliver! If that's not enough to look forward to, check out Ms.Alicia Keys! She is joining forces with Pharrell(who is also working on Alicia Keys' new album) alongside Kendrick Lamar for a collaboration for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 soundtrack. The track titled, It's On Again will appear on the soundtrack due on April 22 while the film arrives in theaters on May 2. While we await that collabor...

Chal is serving the TEA! Hey ya'll! It looks like Babyface will be producing a duets album for the legendary Mrs. Barbra Streisand. The album will feature collaborations with the likes of the aforementioned Babyface, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and Stevie Wonder just to name a few. If that's not enough Babyface for you, he'll be releasing his duet album with Toni Braxton Love, Marriage, and Divorce next month!

Silly me, typed up this blog post and forgot to post it. So its a day or so old but better late than never! So here we go...Toni Braxton and Babyface will release their new single Where Did We Go Wrong? on iTunes on December 17. It is the second single to be lifted from their upcoming album Love, Marriage & Divorce due this February. The duo will perform a live concert to air on TvOne on February 8. Speaking of groups...members of group Day 26 have reunited. The Bad Boy formed group released two albums on the Bad Boy label and are back together! The group will appear on 106 & Park next month to promote their reunion tour. First there was Danity Kane and now its Day 26. Hey! I'm all for groups reuniting. Its good that groups can put aside their differences and get back together and make music for the fans.

Another one bites the dust. The collaborative effort between Babyface and Toni Braxton, Love, Marriage, and Divorce has been pushed back until February 4. The album was originally scheduled to be released this December. The album features the single Hurt You . Those surprised say "I"! I guess a push back was inevitable for Babyface and Toni Braxton. R&B albums get pushed back a dozen times before they make their final release date. Don't be surprised by this next story. Pharrell has spoken out about Beyonce's new album saying the singer is a "perfectionist" and the album will be out when its "ready". Whatever that means! Hopefully Beyonce' fans can look forward to a new album sometime next year. I'm not the biggest Beyonce' fan so with that being said I'm not all that pressed about a new album but I did like her last album, 4 so I'm interested in seeing what she has in store this time around. Toni Braxton and Babyface reveal the provocative cover art for their new album which is due in stores on November 25. Don't mark my words on that release date. This is according to Essence magazine. I've read plenty of dates for this album and I'm not sure on the actual date. I'd check Amazon.com they'd probably have the REAL date.

New album news! First up is Faith Evans who is busy working on her new album Incomparable . The album due next year is said to feature production and appearances from Chucky Thompson(worked with Lil' Kim), Mike City(Sunshine Anderson), Jazmine Sullivan, KeKe Wyatt(R&B Divas Atlanta), Karen Clark-Sheard, and Missy Elliott. I'm hoping that Faith's new album is a return to form for her. Her last two albums including R&B Divas were both major letdowns for me. I don't usually talk about Celine Dion here but her next album Loved Me Back To Life will feature mostly R&B producers and collaborations. The famed singer will duet with Stevie Wonder on a remake of his classic Overjoyed , Ne-Yo duets on the title track(I believe), Tricky Stewart(Blu Cantrell), and Babyface are also involved in the album. Celine Dion's new album Loved Me Back To Life will be in stores this November.

Justin Timberlake has revealed the tracklisting for his new album The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2 . The album is a follow up to his album released this March. Check out the tracklisting below! 1. So I was browsing on some of the forums I frequent and came across word that Drake may be signing Cassie to Cash Money? Last I read Cassie was signed to Bad Boy/Interscope. This could all very well be a rumor but you never know. Do you think Drake can turn Cassie's music career around? It will definitely take a miracle, that's for sure. Monday nights for me are reserved for Love & Hip Hop Atlanta . One of the stars, K. Michelle has a new album in stores tomorrow, Rebellious Soul. The album features the current single V.S.O.P. It has been revealed that the next single lifted from the album will be titled The Right One which was written and produced by Tank. A video for the song has been shot. Babyface and Toni Braxton have reunited! The pair is recording a duet album for Motown Records. The untitled album is due this September. Toni Braxton recently revealed that she was planning to retire from music but many of her musical buddies including Babyface has coerced her to reconsider the decision. Toni Braxton is currently doing some spot dates this Summer around the US. Speaking of new albums due in September...Janelle Monae will release The Electric Lady. The album features the single Q.U.E.E.N. featuring Erykah Badu. Elsewhere on the album look for collaborations from Prince and Miguel(song: Primetime ). The Queen Of Soul herself Aretha Franklin is working on a new album. The new album finds her collaborating with Babyface and Nate "Danja" Hills(known for his work with Timbaland). There is no word on when the album will be released. Aretha recently signed to RCA Records.

Swizz Beats has revealed that his wife Alicia Keys has a song with Babyface on her upcoming untitled album. He was careful not to divulge too much info but that's something listeners can look forward to. Alicia Keys leaked out a single New Day a few weeks ago.  Willie Taylor formerly of the group Day 26 originally spearheaded by Diddy has broken up. The group had been signed to Bad Boy and later Bad Boy/Atlantic. When Bad Boy jumped ship to Interscope Records; Atlantic Records decided to keep Day 26. The group had a new album in the works and a supporting single and a video. Sadly I can't remember it and I don't think anyone else did. Now Willie Taylor is pursuing with a solo career(as expected) with The Reintroduction of Willie Taylor . He has since released the single Instagram Ya Body . Like Facebook, Twitter, and countless other social networking sites we can expect to hear Instagram getting name dropped in many songs in the future.

I remember when this song first came out; people couldn't tell the difference between Jon B. and Babyface's vocals. Their voices were very similar particularly in this song but I think over the years Jon B.'s vocals are a little stronger than Babyface's(just my opinion). Don't Take It So Personal How Can U Be Down? Baby's Mama Outside In/Inside Out Stressed Out My Mother bought this Cd some years back and I end up liking it due to her playing it all the time. The album featured the singles; "There She Goes" produced by The Neptunes and "What If".

We all know Babyface for his many compositions he has wrote and produced over the years whether it be for Toni Braxton, Whitney Houston, or Brandy. A successful artist in his own right; Babyface would see many of his own solo output compete with his productions for other artists. Over the years Babyface has partnered up with some rather fashionable and exquisite singers and brought us some rather memorable if not classic songs you can check out below: Love Saw It, Karyn White Featuring Babyface I know I'm not the only one who remembers this song from Karyn White's 1989 debut album. It definitely is one of the stand out songs on that album and the song was later sampled by Da Brat on a track called; "We Ready" from her "Unrestricted" album released back in 2000. I stumbled upon this video and it brought back a lot of memories from watching The Box! Remember that channel? It got me thinking about Babyface and his various collaborative efforts with females. I smell an upcoming post coming dedicated to that.

My mother has always been a big fan of Babyface. I remember her owning the album, "Tender Lover" and playing the life out of it. My mother did that a lot with albums and I would eventually do the same thing. In 2001, Babyface released the album, "Face2Face" which was a tad bit different from his usual output. At the time The Neptunes were ruling the airwaves with a variety of hits. It was only right for a veteran act like Babyface to become part of that mix. It is what veteran artists do to stay current. Not only was Babyface a hit making producer himself but he was also a successful singer. "Face2Face" featured the first single, "There She Goes" which was produced by The Neptunes. They also produce a few other cuts and that title of it is right on the tip of my tongue. The album's second single was "What If" and the video featured actress Sanaa Lathan.
