Another day. Another Mariah Carey story. It's been reported that Mariah Carey has split from her longtime manager of three years. Her former manager is notable for landing Mariah the docu-series, "Mariah's World" on E! She also was responsible for Mariah's stint in Las Vegas and her tour with Lionel Richie. Some would argue that Mariah's former manager did more to hinder her career than help it. In other news... Tyrese is now crying tears of joy as he's received 5 million dollars from husband and wife acting team, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith(who knew they were so close with Tyrese). The singer took to social media to share the news with everyone but the gag is apparently in exchange for receiving the 5 million dollar paycheck Tyrese is to disappear from social media and he has not held to his side of the bargin. A few days ago it was reported that singer, Mariah Carey was robbed of 50K(50 thousand) dollars worth of jewelry and purses. I'm thinking her backup dancers are to blame because maybe they are not getting paid enough to be on tour with her. I know Mariah Carey casually hangs out with her backup dancers and even dates them so what makes you think they wouldn't rob her? I'm sure they have been throughout her home on various occasions and have been privy to see many of the lavish items Mariah owns. What makes you think one of those snakes with an axe to grind for whatever reason didn't go upstairs in her room and steal one of her Gucci bags? To top it off they may of wanted it for themselves or they may of stolen it and sold it off and got money for it. You never know but let's hope this is not the case. Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of updates! I'm always keeping up with what's going on in popular culture but me coming here and discussing it(typing it) is a whole different story. I compiled the last week of news stories and speak briefly on some of those you have heard about and some you may of not heard about. So here goes... Remember the rumors going around suggesting that singer Brandy was pregnant with her rumored ex-boyfriend(who's alleged to be married) lovechild? Well her friend, actress; Jenifer Lewis(show: "black-ish") was asked during a red carpet event if Brandy was pregnant and she replied "No!". So there you have it! Brandy is not pregnant!  R&B group Xscape are heading out on tour this Fall with singer Monica and Tamar Braxton. The group also landed a reality show titled, "Still Kickin' It"(I believe) and it will air on the Bravo network directly after "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" starting on November 5....

A few days ago Brandy posted a throwback picture of herself and Queen of shade, Mariah Carey with the caption, "SheKnowsMe" and social media users felt Brandy was throwing shade(at J-Lo). If you know the history between Mariah and J-Lo, Mariah was famously quoted for saying "I don't know her" when asked about J-Lo in an interview overseas. Brandy perhaps meant no harm but I caught the shade. But what would Brandy have against J-Lo? The only thing I can recall is J-Lo and Brandy recording the same song and both songs leaking online. I'm not sure if it were a song that Brandy was going to use but J-Lo certainly didn't use it either. But that was so long ago. Brandy did respond saying she was not throwing shade further saying if she was we'd know. I guess the whole "SheKnowsMe" caption was a play more so to Mariah who has claimed to not "know" certain singers a la J-Lo. I'm not sure what's been going on with Brandy personal...

So as I was searching for a picture to post along with who I was ready to talk about today, I came across one of my favorite pictures of Mariah Carey from her "The Emancipation of Mimi" album. Now I wasn't planning on talking about Mariah today but I did read through People magazine that Mariah is back with her ex-boyfriend, backup dancer; Bryan. If you are surprised by this revelation then you are not alone. I didn't bother reading the story, I just saw the headline and thought "Wow!". Now for what I truly wanted to talk about today was singer and TV host, Adrienne Bailon of the daytime talk show, "The Real". Well her former bandmate from 3LW, Naturi Naughton appeared on the show and Adrienne apologized to her for her part in the separation of 3LW. Naturi humbly accepted the apology though upon closer inspection, Naturi seemed like she wasn't really here for it. I knew their paths would cross again because they're both in the spotlight. ...

So the Billboard Music Awards were revealed today and Rihanna and Drake lead with the most nominations. No surprise there. Drake scored 22 nominations and Rihanna has 14 nominations. The Billboard Music Awards air in May. Will you be watching? In other news, Mariah Carey has broken up with her boy toy back up dancer. Did we see that lasting long? I didn't! It turns out that the boy toy was jealous of Mariah according to reports. He probably didn't like the fact that Mariah is still cool with her ex-husband Nick Cannon. I personally think Mariah needs an older mature gentleman but obviously not James Packer but hey what do I know? Mariah is also forging ahead with new music. She recently inked an imprint with Epic Records called Butterfly MC Records. She is slated to drop a new album sometime this year. I think she should hold off on the live performances in the meantime. But she will tour in Caesar's Palace again this Summer and she is still set to tour with Lionel Richie...

Ashanti revealed that she has new music on the way during a recent interview. She says the song, "Lose Yourself" is unlike anything we've ever heard from her. We will be the judges of that but I do hope it is good. Ashanti recently wrapped up an overseas tour. I believe she is featured on the upcoming 2 Pac biopic soundtrack. It was produced by her friend and collaborator, LT Hutton(worked with Da Brat). Remy Ma is featured on the remix to Mariah Carey's single, "I Don't". It is a shady move from Carey who famously feuded with Remy's current nemesis, Nicki Minaj when they appeared on "American Idol" together. There is no word on whether or not Remy took a swipe at Nicki on the song but apparently Nicki has a lot more to say in regards to Remy. In addition to shooting a video for "No Frauds", Nicki has a few jabs for Remy on her latest collaboration with David Guetta and Lil' Wayne.  In other news.. Future reveals in ...

"I Don't..." Mariah Carey previewed her new single, "I Don't(Like To Sing Live Anymore)" last night on her show, "Mariah's World". The single will be available on iTunes on February 3. The song samples the 1997 hit, "Where I Wanna Be" from Donnell Jones. Mariah posted a video of herself in the studio lip syncing the song. I will say the song doesn't sound bad and it may due well because the Lambs want Mariah to have another hit and she just might.  Trey Songz may be dealing with a lawsuit from kooky actress Keke Palmer but that hasn't stopped him from being the ladies man that he is. It was revealed on Instagram that Trey Songz said he will "shoot his shot" towards singer Ashanti after a picture of her vacationing has since gone viral. Where's the beef? We're only 5 day into 2017 and already the entertainment world has been on fire with various feuds between celebrities, TV networks, and social media sites. Some feuds that erupted at the tail end of 2016 that were brought over into 2017 is also featured on the list. Azealia Banks. vs. Facebook  Facebook reportedly shut down Azealia Banks' Facebook page after she publicly criticized Brazilians. A similar thing happened last year but on Twitter when Banks' went on a racist and homophobic tirade towards singer Zayn Malik(I think that's his last name). Damn Trina! Trina released a snippet of her new single; "Damn" featuring Tory Lanez tonight on her social media sites. The single will be released on Friday, January 6. Trina shot the video to the single last month in Philadelphia. Based on what I heard of the :25 second snippet, Trina just might have a hit on her hands. It doesn't hurt that she has Tory Lanez on the song who is enjoying a lot of success. One of the reasons why Trina has remained so relevant over the years is not just because she releases music consistently. It is also because she works with a lot of different artists of all spectrums; new, old, and up and coming. Lip sync fail Happy New Year everybody!  Yet again Mariah was caught singing or not singing to a backing track and this time she didn't give a damn if we noticed it or not. Mariah Carey is making the news for all the wrong reasons. During her New Year's Eve performance; Mariah was noticeably lip syncing to her songs and she had no qualms about it. As the backing track played, Mariah removed the mic from her mouth and was carried around the stage by her backup dancers. When it was time to perform her hit song, "Emotions"; the backing track played and Mariah stood idle before speaking to the crowd and telling them the song was "#1". Duh! We knew that! This isn't the first time Mariah has been caught lip syncing but possibly the most notorious of her lip sync fails. She did nothing to try and cover up the fact that she was lip syncing. Mariah's ex in hospital Nick Cannon is in the hospital after a Lupus outbreak. The TV host and ex-husband to Mariah Carey was seen in hospital after pictures surfaced. Cannon stated that he would be spending the holidays in the hospital. There is no word yet if Mariah has taken the kids to see their father. I hope so though since they typically all spend holidays together as a family. Get well Nick! Speaking of Nick, Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill are reportedly still together and not broken up as its been indicated on social media. Frankly I'm sick of their squabbles playing out on social media. Mariah gets a special visitor Mariah Carey got a special visit from Beyoncé during her Christmas concert at the Beacon Theater in New York. The two posed for photos which later made the social media rounds and a second picture this time with both ladies and their kids. People poked fun at the fact that Beyoncé brought Blue Ivy, her daughter to play with Mariah's kids but won't bring Blue Ivy around North West, Kanye Wests' daughter.  Speaking of Kanye West, the rapper was seen meeting up with president elect Donald Trump at the Trump Tower. The move has shocked everyone and Kanye took to Twitter to express his reasons for meeting Donald Trump. Kanye tweeted that the two talked about violence in Chicago and curriculum among other things. The two were seen getting cozy on a beach somewhere. There was a blind item report that I read awhile ago about an A-list singer caught with her dress down while sitting on her backup dancer's lap. When caught said singer tried to jump up quickly but couldn't because she was drunk! Sounds like Mariah to me!  Singer Jeremih has upset fans in Chicago when he abruptly left the stage during a concert after only performing 2 songs. Jeremih was alleged to say "fuck y'all" and many fans took to social media to air out the singer. Peace! Prayers and thoughts to those affected by the shooting at Ohio State University. Brandy was honored last night during the Soul Train Music Awards. During her performance of her hit single, "Talk About Our Love", Brandy changed the lyrics in which many interpreted to be shade towards Monica and her fans for a feud they started months ago. Monica responded by saying that Brandy was a "legend" and deserving of the award. Not one to be outdone, Brandy also posted a loving tribute to Whitney Houston after Monica appeared on "Where Are They Know?" detailing her close relationship with Whitney. We know both ladies had a close relationship with Whitney so I don't understand the reasoning behind who Whitney was the closest to. VH1 Divas Mariah Carey is gearing up to headline a Christmas special of VH1's "VH1 Divas". The show will be recorded on December 2 and will air on December 5 on VH1. There is no word on whether any other divas will perform or if it will just be Mariah. Imagine that! Azealia vs. RZA A few days ago Azealia Banks appeared on "Access Hollywood" detailing what went down that fateful night she was spat on and thrown out of a party in Hollywood.
