Released in 2008; the album features the singles; "Black & Gold" which was featured in the film; "Obsessed". If I were to describe Sam's voice its similar to that of Prince or Bilal.

Colors represent many emotions. Blue can refer to sadness, and black can refer to death. The song titles below all feature colors in the title. Check them out! Blu Is A Mood, Blu Cantrell This is one of my favorite songs on Blu Cantrell's debut album, "So Blu". The song was produced by Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis and describes everything that is related to the color blue. Born Sam Falson the quirky R&B singer moved to Los Angeles where he became a music exec temp and a waiter. It is something many struggling(or up and coming)singers do to pay the bills. Sparro's sheer determination paid off when he was signed to Island Records UK. The singer issued his self-titled debut album in the summer of 2008. His lead single, "Black & Gold" took off in the UK and was recently nominated for a Grammy for "Best Dance Recording". With his Prince inspired vocals and bewitching talent, it would be a shame for you to let a talent like Sam Sparro slip by. He is surely worth checking out....
