Hey! I'll call this blog plot, "the beef edition" since all the news I'm reporting has to do with quarrels between lovers, former band mates, and rival rappers. The war is on between Tank and Tyrese. Formally the two singers were apart of the R&B trio TGT(Tyrese Ginuwine and Tank). Now the two singers are at odds over what Tank describes as Tyrese being greedy when it came to splitting money between the three men. Tank was caught in an airport on camera via TMZ and had some not so nice things to say about Tyrese. Of course Tyrese caught wind of this and has been throwing shade at Tank on social media all day. Personally I never liked Tyrese. I think he's very cocky and he's homophobic. I'm on team Tank! Iggy Azalea has reignited her beef with Azealia Banks after Iggy mentioned how she "still hates Azealia Banks" in the cover story of some magazine. There's a new couple alert! Reality TV star and business entrepreneur Angela Simmons and rapper Yo Gotti. Gotti has been pursuing Simmons for awhile and recently surprised the star with flowers among other things. What do you think about these two together? In other music news, Tyrese is mad at Ginuwine and called him out of the dissolution of the group TGT(Tank Ginuwine Tyrese). Together the group had a hit or two and a Grammy nominated album. Feeling some type of way, Tyrese took to social media and Ginuwine responded back. It turns out that Ginuwine wants to record another solo album which I think is fine. Tyrese just put out an album a few months ago. You didn't see Ginuwine or Tank whining about that? Did you? I have a lot more feelings about this but I won't get into all of that. Meanwhile Nicki Minaj is gearing up for a new TV show on the ABC Family network titled "Nicki". I also read the title "Freeform" floating around so I'm not sure whic...

Happy Sunday! Ashanti continues to prolong the release of her BraveHeart album but she is recording a new Christmas EP nonetheless. The EP will feature her rendition of the Christmas classic Let It Snow. The song can currently be heard on the Lifetime network, part of its Christmas movie promotion. If that's not enough Let It Snow will be featured in Ashanti's movie for Lifetime Christmas In The City airing on December 7. Ashanti's Let It Snow is currently available for download on Shazam...I believe. Tyrese, Ginuwine, and Tank collectively known as TGT will release Next Time Around as the next single from their album Three Kings . Speaking of Tyrese you can catch him in the new black musical Black Nativity in theaters later this month.

Congratulations to K. Michelle! Her new album Rebellious Soul featuring the single V.S.O.P. debuts at #2 this week with 72,000 copies. The reality TV star who stars on VH1's Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and now New York thanked fans via Facebook for their support. K. Michelle will release The Right One as the next single off her album. Speaking of debut numbers...it seems like group TGT, that's Tank, Ginuwine, and Tyrese. Their new album 3 Kings is said to debut around 65-70K in its first week of release. It seems as if the 65-75K is the norm for the typical R&B release whether your male or female. Some R&B acts are fortunate to see higher numbers depending on their visibility and popularity. This will give Atlantic Records back to back #2 R&B albums(on The Billboard 200) K. Michelle's is #2 this week and TGT likely being #2 next week. Though the numbers are low there is still much to celebrate for the acts so congratulations to everyone.

It's been a plethora of music news lately. I'll start things off with the condition of Usher's son who almost drowned in a pool at the singer's Atlanta home. Thankfully Usher's son was saved by two men working who performed CPR. Usher's son is currently in intensive care. The accident prompted Usher's ex Tameka Foster to file a court hearing over custody. I call this story "Another Day In The Life Of Usher". I say that because its always drama attached to Usher and his ex-wife. Unfortunately the last two years for Usher's kids haven't been good either. Last year's Usher's stepson Kile Glover died after being struck by a jet ski. When I think about "Another Day In The Life Of Usher" sounds like a good album title for the new Usher album which he is currently working on as well. Picking and sticking with an album release date can be very hard especially if its a R&B artist. Like rappers they are notorious for pushing their albums back. By today's standards most albums see three or sometimes more single releases before an album is even released. Labels like to capitalize off a hit single if they can and why not. I think the near eternity wait for most albums to be released causes most albums to lose steam. It results in many R&B albums under performing. With all that out the way I'll get to today's blog post which involves the illustrious and notorious Chris Brown! His new album X has a new release date...AUGUST 27! Let's see how long this sticks. The album has been pushed back a few times already hence my statements above. X will feature the hit single Fine China and more recent single Don't Think They Know featuring Aaliyah. It was revealed a few days ago that Chris Brown will release a new single Love More featuring Nicki Minaj....
