BIG SURPRISE: So the big news of the day is that Drake has a released a new album/mixtape titled If You're Reading This Its Too Late. The project which has debuted on iTunes features a Tyga diss on the song 6 PM and Tyga has already responded labeling Drake a "bitch". So Kanye West has everyone talking again like he tends to do. This time people are outraged over his behavior at the Grammy awards telecast. GLOBAL ICON: Congratulations are in order for Common and John Legend who won a Golden Globe for Best Original Song for the movie Selma,which was released this past weekend I believe. BET's much hyped about Hip Hop Music Awards aired tonight, October 14. The award show, which was prerecorded a few weeks ago(take note BET Awards) honored those in Hip Hop and included cyphers from veteran and upcoming rappers. The show was emceed by Snoop Dogg who did a great job by the way. Snoop was full of charisma and delivered in a series of skits that featured Nia Long in some of her famed roles. Presenters: Keyshia Cole, Porsha Williams, and my mind just drew a blank at the rest of the presenters. Some music news for you all! French Montana will release his new album Excuse My French on May 21. The album's new single Freaks features Nicki Minaj. The song was recently released online. Eve says we can expect a collaboration between her and Dawn Richard on her upcoming album Lip Lock due May 14. The album also features a collaboration with Snoop Dogg. Speaking of Snoop Dogg the rapper recently linked up with Azealia Banks for a possible collaboration.

Norwegian media are reporting that Snoop Dogg was briefly detained in Norway after entering the country with marijuana and a large amount of cash. Customs officials decline to confirm the report, saying only that an American artist entered Norway with a small amount of marijuana that was detected by a sniffer-dog. Norwegian law prevents law enforcement officials from naming suspects. A customs officer who spoke on condition of anonymity said Thursday that the artist was also carrying more cash than is legally allowed and was subsequently fined 52,000 kroner ($8,600) for the violations. Snoop Dogg was scheduled to perform Thursday at a musical festival in the southern town of Kristiansand.
