Hello all! So the hosts for the 2016 BET Awards has been revealed and its none other than "black-ish" stars, Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson. I swear I read that Mike Epps was the host this year but maybe that was just a rumor. In reality TV news, Toya Wright and Mickey "Memphitz" are now officially divorced. We all know Toya from the BET show, "Tiny & Toya" fame and for being Lil' Wayne's former wife. Memphitz is famously known for his volatile relationship with K. Michelle which has played out over the years on the blogs, the court room, and TV. Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose are also now officially divorced. The former couple celebrated by going to a strip club together. Happy Birthday to Prince! The singer would of been 58 years old today! R.I.P.

The Billboard Awards are going on as I type this. With that being said, I will give a brief recap of what has occurred so far. The award show, hosted by Ciara and Ludacris opened with a performance from Britney Spears. She performed a medley of her hits including "Toxic" and "I'm a Slave 4 U". The Weeknd won for Hot 100 Artist. Wiz Khalifa won for his "Furious 7" song, can't remember the name of it. Fifth Harmony performed, "Work From Home". Meghan Trainor performed, "No". Oh yeah, Justin Beiber also performed. :( Nick Jonas performed and Shawn Mendes. Presenters included DJ Khaled, Kelly Rowland, Keke Palmer, Heidi Klum, Michael Strahan, etc. At this point I'm pretty much just waiting on the Prince tribute. In other music news, Tamar Braxton was reportedly let go from "The Real", the daytime talk show she hosted along with 4 other women including singer Adrienne Bailon. Love is in the air or then again not so much! It depends on who you ask! Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose may be on the path to reconciliation. I apologize for the lack of updates. There is really no excuse besides the fact that I've been working and sometimes just really tired and pooped out at the end of the day. So to catch you all up to speed on what's been going on since I last left, let's see...well Rihanna's "ANTI" album is #1 this week after debuting at #27 last week due to early release. She is currently shooting the video to her new single, "Work" featuring Drake. Speaking of new albums, Wiz Khalifa just released his new album, "Khalifa" and Future drops "EVOL"(love spelled backwards). Erica Dixon of "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" fame says she won't be returning to the show that made her a reality star and to be honest I don't blame her. Her storyline wasn't going anywhere and it was basically each season her rehashing her issues with Scrappy. I'm sure the re-addition of K. Michelle will more than make up for her absence. Queen Latiah, Viola Davis, Idris Elba, and Uzo from "Orange Is The New Black" were winners last night at the SAG Awards. SAG stands for Screen Actors Guild. Elba won two awards last night while Latifah won for her portrayal of Bessie Smith in the HBO movie, "Bessie". Congratulations to all the winners! Take that Oscars! :) Elsewhere Meek Mill is still on social media poking fun at Drake. It seems like when we thought this beef was dead Meek keeps it going. With his recently released EP and series of old pictures of Drake, look for Drake to respond again. Drake just yesterday released the song "Summer Sixteen" or at least I think that's the name of it. Azealia Banks is set to release her new mixtape, "Slay-Z" on February 7 according to the rapper. The mixtape features Banks' alter ego reportedly rhyming over a slew of Jay-Z beats. Speaking of new music, Rihanna's new album, "Anti" finally got released leaked, first via TIDAL and now its on iTunes with three extra tracks. A physical release of the album is pending. The day before Rihanna's album was officially released, it was leaked on TIDAL. The first single, "Work" featuring Drake was also released on iTunes. If that's not enough new music for you, Lil' Kim has unveiled cover art for her new single, "#Mine" featuring Kevin Gates. "Empire" saw its ratings decline with its second episode and 50 Cent had something to say about it. He feels the gay story line is too much for some people and its turning people off. Many agreed with these statements as well as their being numerous guests each week. Guest appearances aside, I don't think there is nothing wrong with them but I do think right now a lot of the story lines are all over the place. Now that Lucious is out jail now maybe things will fall back into place. As far as the gay story lines, one of the main characters in the show is gay so what do you expect. Chris Brown says his new album will be titled, "Royalty", after his daughter. The album's first single, "Liquor" recently got the video treatment and should be airing any day now. It is really hard to keep up with the shenanigans of some of these celebrities. It really is but here goes. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving complete with food, liquor, and some shopping thrown in for good measure. If you didn't shop don't worry you didn't miss much. The deals were awful this year. Target was pretty busy since they had a TV that retailed for $110 and it was a 40" one. Had I not bought a TV last year and I had more money I probably would of been vying to get it myself.
