Mariah gets a special visitor Mariah Carey got a special visit from Beyoncé during her Christmas concert at the Beacon Theater in New York. The two posed for photos which later made the social media rounds and a second picture this time with both ladies and their kids. People poked fun at the fact that Beyoncé brought Blue Ivy, her daughter to play with Mariah's kids but won't bring Blue Ivy around North West, Kanye Wests' daughter.  Speaking of Kanye West, the rapper was seen meeting up with president elect Donald Trump at the Trump Tower. The move has shocked everyone and Kanye took to Twitter to express his reasons for meeting Donald Trump. Kanye tweeted that the two talked about violence in Chicago and curriculum among other things. Kanye also hashtagged "#2024" which I'm guessing is the year he plans to run for office as well. CYBER WEDNESDAY: After Wednesday night's season finale of "Empire" which drew 16.5 million viewers, the highest rated episode thus far, Bow Wow has spoke out against the show saying he would never be on "Empire" because it stereotypes blacks. MUSIC BITS: Wendy Williams is hosting the Soul Train Awards airing next month on Centric and BET. Tinashe of 2 On famed revealed that J-Lo's I Luhh Ya Papi song featuring French Montana was originally meant for her. The song was once titled I Luhh Ya Nigga and producer Detail played it for J-Lo and the rest is flop history. Speaking of Tinashe, her debut album Aqaurius is said to debut next week with sales of 17K-22K(thousand) units in the first week. Another new album on the market is Keyshia Cole's Point of No Return which will debut a little higher with an estimated 25K sales in its first week of release. Mariah Carey has tapped friend Nas to help her out on the dating scene since she is newly single. One problem though! Nas is allegedly scared to introduce anyone to Mariah. Ouch! THICKE HEAD: Robin Thicke has revealed that the REAL reason why his wife, actress Paula Patton left him was because of his drug use and drinking. The singer says he'd take Vicodin and fill a water bottle full of Vodka and sip on it all throughout the day. If that's not enough the singer confessed that he did not write his hit single Blurred Lines , stating that Pharrell did. I mean that was pretty obvious. Blurred Lines sounds like something Pharrell would write. Robin did go on to say that he wish he did have a hand in the song and attempted to have some input once the song became a hit, like him getting writing credits for the song. Now whether or not he earned writing credits for Blurred Lines , I'm not sure. One would have to check the linear notes for that and I'm not all that interested to do that. We've seen pictures around and Blue's hair never looks styled. Let's be honest. I don't think a petition is needed though. However we can all agree that the girl is well taken care of. I mean after all her parents are two of the richest entertainers in the world. So people let's try and focus on more important things in the future. DEAR PAULA: Robin Thicke has revealed that his new album, his seventh is titled Paula. Paula Patton, his wife and Robin announced their separation back in February after Robin was caught hugged up with some groupie girl. Robin has been pleading to win Paula back with various performances of his hit show Lost Without U. Robin ins scheduled to perform at this year's BET Awards airing on June 29.

I think many people saw this coming or knew there was discord in the marriage. Last Summer there were rumors going around that Robin Thicke was cheating. There were also rumors about his alleged drug use. I'm sure those things are some of the factors that contributed towards the couple separating. Awww poor Robin and Paula. Many have noted the similarity between Marvin Gaye's "Got to Give It Up" and Robin Thicke's song-of-the-summer smash hit "Blurred Lines," and now Thicke has gone on the offensive to ensure that the sonic likeness of the two songs doesn't end up costing him any money. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news late Thursday: Thicke, along with Pharrell Williams and T.I., filed a lawsuit against Gaye's family and Bridgeport Music. In the case, the trio of music makers say they have "the utmost respect for and admiration of Marvin Gaye, Funkadelic and their musical legacies," but must "reluctantly file this action in the face of multiple adverse claims from alleged successors in interest to those artists." Gaye's family and Funkadelic (the relevant compositions of whom are owned by Bridgeport), have insisted that "Blurred Lines" is too similar to their original songs. Lots of new today! I will start by saying "Congratulations" to Robin Thicke! His sixth album Blurred Lines debuts at #1 this week. The album sold 177K copies which exceeded expectations. It is first #1 album in his ten year career. The title track sold 400,000 digital copies this week and the song has been #1 in 102 countries. Way to go Robin! Looks like Robin Thicke will have the #1 album next week as his sixth album Blurred Lines is set to top the charts. The album is poised to sell upwards of 140K copies. If Blurred Lines , the single remains #1 next week this will give Robin the #1 single and album, a feat that few artists have achieved. Congrats Robin on all the success! Mariah Carey's single #Beautiful has passed the million mark making it Platinum certified. There was talk that Mariah was unhappy about the success of #Beautiful , feeling the song should of performed better. Maybe she was hoping the song would go to #1 since she is used to going #1. She can't be mad though the single is Platinum. Mariah Carey's upcoming untitled album was pushed back from its original release date of July 23.
