SONGZ IN A MINOR: While gay rumors certainly didn't hinder his career in the past, Trey Songz lives up to his title of Mr. Steal Ya Girl and his title was recently questioned by labelmate Meek Mill. Meek posted on his Twitter that he has to ask a potential date if she's slept with Trey Songz insinuating Trey gets around. Trey responded knocking the notion and again sending a little shade a day or so later by saying that no one is "dry snitching". I believe that was a dig at Meek but what do I know? Something that I do know is that Mariah Carey has signed to Epic Records. This puts Mariah back under the Sony wing where her career began and flourished in the 90s. L.A. KINGS OF R&B: Joe, Ginuwine, Jagged Edge and Total will embark on the Kings of R&B tour in Europe in January. Why their not touring in the US I'm not sure. I'm guessing the money overseas is a lot longer than it is here in the States. I mean given also that none of the aforementioned acts are that popular in the State right now why not go overseas where music is much more appreciated.  MOMMY TO BE: And Nicki Minaj says she wants to be a Mother by the time her fifth album is released or shortly thereafter. Nicki is currently set to release her third album The Pink Print on December 15. When asked on the AMA( American Music Awards ) red carpet, Nicki said her fans will be surprised by the lyrical content on the new album. Could she be referring to the lyrics on her new single Bed of Lies ? One can only imagine. I can't say I'm here for the new Nicki album. I will have to hear the samples on iTunes. Nicki's album is not one I'm anticipating.

Any news is better than no news. A JAGGED ERA: Jagged Edge is set to make their return to music. It's funny because just the other day the group popped up in my mind. I had wondered what had become of them. Well now my questions have been answered. Brothers, Brian and Brandon Casey have wrote the album's first single Hope which premieres tomorrow. The song was produced by Bryan Michael Cox(worked with Usher). Hope will appear on Jagged Edges' new album JE Heartbreak Too, a sequel to their 2000 hit album JE Heartbreak. Jagged Edge releases the video for "Baby" the lead single off their self titled album in stores this July(I believe). This is the debut album from Slip N Slide and their seventh album overall. There were rumors going around that Rihanna's "Loud" tour was suffering from low ticket sales but ultimately that was untrue. I don't see how it would be true anyway especially considering how she's dominating radio. Jagged Edge returned to the music scene in 2007 when they signed to Def Jam. This was their first single which featured Ashanti but for some reason she didn't appear in the video. Therefore her contribution to the song was omitted. Recently Jagged Edge signed to Slip N Slide Records and will be releasing their album, "The Remedy" soon. Jagged Edge is still kicking and its a good thing especially considering a lot of other male R&B groups have since broken up. The New York Post is reporting that Mariah Carey is attempting to stop a planned tell-all book by former record producer Damion "Damizza" Young that aims to expose their "intimate" relationship and their struggle to keep it a secret. Titled "Guilty by Association," Young says the book will bare details of the "intense four-year personal relationship" they shared and "worked diligently to disguise from the world's press," Page Six reported.Young says he received a letter from Carey's lawyer, Sonya Guardo, reminding him of a confidentiality agreement that prohibits him from ever spilling any secrets about Carey.
