The new Jordin Sparks and Whitney Houston movie; "Sparkle" has had quite the buzz ever since the movie went into production nearly a year ago. Now the official movie poster has been revealed.

Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks are set to star in the remake of the 1976 film; "Sparkle". The film is loosely based on the story of The Supremes about three sisters in 1950s Harlem who rise to fame. Jordin will play the title character while Houston will star as her mother(and executive produce) the movie. Mike Epps will also star as one of the boyfriends of the sisters. Casting is still underway and this remake has been in the works for quite awhile so hopefully soon it will all come together. Nas is the latest artist who is penning his memoir; "It Ain't Hard To Tell" will be released late next year. Meanwhile Nas will release his new album; "Life Is Good" soon. The current single; "Nasty" was released few months back.

"Love Is A Battlefield" is a title of a song by famous female rocker Pat Benatar. I'm not sure how many of you youngins are familiar with her. I can't sit here and say I know everything about her myself. I do now that I remember the video on VH1 many many years ago. Now the whole "Battlefield" theme has been resurrected thanks to American Idol winner Jordin Sparks. The new album due July 21 is led by the title track. This album cover that you see accompanied with this post serves as the deluxe version album cover. I actually saw this picture in Billboard magazine thinking it was simple a promo pic but I guess not. I actually like the title "Battlefield"(for an album title). I have nothing against Jordin Sparks and I admit I don't give her much shine here. With her new album, "Battlefield" being released July 21, she gets some shine here. As you will see with her brand new album cover, the singer takes somewhat of a risk since its not what's usually expected of an album but I like different and it works for me. It looks more like a single cover but I actually like it.
