Azealia Banks and Erykah Badu have ended their feud over Twitter. Thank goodness! I thought it was a rather stupid feud anyway. I don't even remember how it started. Speaking of female rappers, Eve says she is working on new music after being inspired while filming her new movie, "Barbershop 3". Are we looking forward to new music from E V E. I am! Speaking of Monica, she will release her new album on December 18 as will Chris Brown. Rick Ross released his new album today, "Black Market" and Jeremih "Late Nights". There's certainly an overabundance of new music out. I think out of all the new music I'm interested in Erykah Badu, Jeremih, and Rick Ross. Mariah Carey has finally responded to a shady comment she made many eons ago in response to Jennifer Lopez. When asked if she knew Jennifer Lopez, Mariah responded with "I don't know her!" and Mariah said she never said it to be intentionally funny but fans ran with it and it fueled the feud between her and Lopez. What do you think? I so remember the video and interview and it was very shady and very funny. It's actually one of my favorite Mariah Carey moments. Erykah Badu is back with her new single, "Phone Down". It appears on her upcoming mixtape, "But You Cain't Use My Phone". The mixtape comes hot off the heels of Badu's recent remix of Drake's "Hotline Bling". Ironically enough "Phone Down" is dedicated to Drake. Check out my favorite new song of the moment!

Erykahpeak Badu is said to be releasing a new mixtape as early as next week. The mixtape titled, "But You Caint Use My Phone"(a line from her 1997 hit "Tyrone") will likel feature Badu's cover of Drake's "Hotline Bling". Are you looking forward to some new music from Ms. Badu? Speaking of new music, Missy Elliott will release her new single "WTF(Where They From)" on November 13. The song features Pharrell who also produced the song. Timbaland let the cat out the bag months ago when he revealed that Missy's first single is produced by Pharrell. Missy later claimed that she would let people know when her new music was ready. Future has denied rumors that he's dating Blac Chyna, the ex-girlfriend of Tyga. WHAT'S BEEF: So let me take some time to stop stressing about the little things to bring you some music news. Erykah Badu was recently asked about Iggy Azalea and Azealia Banks. When asked about Azealia Banks, Erykah replied, I "tried" to listen to her music. Of course word got back to Azealia who was likely internet trolling and called out Erykah saying she was "jealous" and a barrage of other things. It was quite interesting on Azealia's side as it always is. I just hope that Azealia Banks can fight because one day someone is going to want to fight her. Just saying and still love her though. Her debut album Broke With Expensive Taste will see a physical release on March 3 along with a "frisky" pictorial in Playboy arriving on March 20 that's said to "break the internet"(a term used saying that this will have everyone talking). I can't wait to see it and I guess I will also be buying my first issue of Playboy, believe it or not....

Erykah Badu may be quiet on the music scene but that doesn't mean she isn't working. The singer is the new face of Givenchy. She was handpicked personally by one of the designers. So be on the lookout for Erykah as she struts her stuff for Givenchy. Kudos to her! In other music news...Kelis is readying her sixth album titled Food to be released this Spring via UK indie label Ninja Tune. The album will feature the previously released song Jerk Ribs and Rumble . Videos were shot for both songs and will hopefully premiere in the coming weeks or months. I love Kelis so I'm excited about her new album. I was lost with the last album but it seems like she will finally give me what I want this time around.

Janelle Monae has revealed her new album The Electric Lady will be released on September 10. The album features the Erykah Badu assisted-single Q.U.E.E.N. and collaborations from R&B luminaries such as Miguel and Prince. Speaking of new albums...Mary J. Blige is back in the studio working on a new album. Originally the singer was working on a Christmas album(which I read was scrapped) in favor of a full length studio album. One duet we can all possibly look forward to is one with Rapture -singer Anita Baker. If you recall it was Anita Baker's Rapture song that got Mary her big break. I'm glad because while I wouldn't mind a Christmas album from Mary I'm actually more excited about a new album from her. Someone who was heavily influenced by both Mary and Anita is Fantasia. The singer who has released her new album a few months ago is finally set to release her new video the Kelly Rowland assisted-single Without Me . The video is set to premiere on July 1. 

Q.U.E.E.N. appears on Janelle Monae's upcoming album The Electric Lady due in stores this Summer.

Soul legend Stephanie Mills has spoken out on artists like Brian McKnight and Erykah Badu and their desire to shock. Brian McKnight has ruffled quite a few feathers with this latest selection of songs including those about "pussy". Stephanie feels that some of these artists who she referred to as "older" artists do shocking things like this to stay relevant. She also went on to do discuss how Erykah Badu felt the need to take off her clothes in the Window Seat video. Though she did proclaim her love for both artists she wasn't exactly hating just stating her opinion. Like everyone else I was surprised by Brian McKnight and his last few songs and Erykah Badu lost me years ago. This is probably the last of the Erykah Badu albums I really liked. Her last two kind of lost me. The album contained the single "Tyrone" which later became a popular catchphrase. "Live" featured many songs from "Baduizm" as well as some new songs including "Tyrone" and my personal favorite, "Ye Yo". There are also covers of Mary Jane Girls' "All Night Long" and Roy Ayers "Searching". Many were surprised when Erykah Badu followed up her debut album with a live album. This wouldn't be the first or last time Erykah would surprise us. After her "Mama's Gun" album, she released the EP, "Worldwide Underground" which the singer expressed wasn't the proper follow up. Remember the reaction everyone had when we first saw Erykah Badu's "Window Seat" video? Well there was an even bigger reaction from law enforcement when she was fined for $500. The singer was charged with disorderly conduct and probation. The directors for the video knew there was a chance Erykah could get arrested. They even had bail money set aside if she did. The directors believe Erykah wanted to get arrested. What do you think? T.I.'s new album, "King Uncaged" is due very soon. There was a release date of September but now MTV.com is reporting no date is set in stone. T.I. is close to choosing his next single though. "Worldwide Underground" to some is considered Erykah Badu's third album but she insisted it wasn't. The album contained the first single, "Danger" which was everything we would expect from Erykah Badu. There was also the second single, "Back In The Day(Puff)" which sounded like a song that could of easily appeared on Erykah's "Baduizm" album. Erykah Badu always goes left when everyone goes right. Case in point, Erykah's 10 minute song, "I Want You" which is full of spacey, acrobatic vocals that are all about Erykah. My favorite song on the album is "Bump It" which is eight minutes long and its a slow groove.
