Rihanna quietly released her oft-delayed album, "Anti" this past January. The album was quickly certified Platinum thanks in part to the million of streams it received on TIDAL, where it was released first. Billboard however didn't recognize the sales and at presstime, "Anti" has sold close to 280,000 copies. "Anti" is Rihanna's second #1 album and it features the #1 single, "Work". Now as far as the album is concerned, I feel "Anti" is Rihanna's most enjoyable album since "Good Girl Gone Bad". The album opens with "Consideration" featuring SZA followed by the breezy but brief, "James Joint". "Kiss It Better" is an instant favorite to me and deserves the single treatment, while "Needed Me" might be the proper follow up since its already charting on the charts. Happy Holidays everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates but I was out of town for the Holidays. Now while I may of not updated here on the blog, I still kept up with what was going on in the world of entertainment. I just saw this morning that Rihanna's producer said the reason for the hold up for her new album, "Anti" is because of rumored boyfriend Travis Scott. Allegedly Scott told Rihanna that her new album is "not good enough". The album has never had an official release date but was rumored to drop November 6, November 27 and most recently Christmas day. A while back Rihanna revealed the album's cover art which led many to believe the album was on the way. Then came a string of Samsung commercials which is likely endorsing Rihanna's new album. Young Thug is fuming after Plies used an image of his child for a meme online. Young Thug has insisted that Plies take the image down or else! How do we feel about that? Should children be off limits anyway? Plies has become more of an internet sensation these days than a recording artist. I believe he just put out a song or a mixtape a little while ago but I don't think anyone cared. I know I didn't. Did you? And the stars came out last night for Givenchy fashion show. In attendance were Ciara, Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, and many others. Meanwhile it looks like The Game may of deleted his Instagram page? I mean what else is new? And Rihanna may or may not be dating Travis Scott who just released his album, "Rodeo". Speaking of Travis Scott, it was he who Amber Rose said was the "ghostwriter" of Kanye West.
