I'm not even sure how Amerie is spelling her names these days but I'll stick with the original way for now. I was just thinking how Wendy Williams was scouting Amerie to replace Fergie in The Black Eyed Peas when it was rumored she was leaving the group. Well frontman will.i.am quickly dissolved that rumor stating that Fergie is not leaving the group. Anyway if you miss Amerie and her music; never fear she's on her way with a new album. Teedra Moses; whether you know her or not; you will very soon. The underrated singer has signed a deal with Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group imprint. Now as far as which label will distribute her album is a mystery. On the singer's twitter page she announced the news. Teedra Moses released her debut album; "Complex Simplicity" in 2004. Over the years she has released several mixtapes and collaborated with the likes of Trina, Mary J. Blige, and Christina Milian. Rick Ross is surely putting together a team over there at Maybach Music with the addition of Wale as well. Now all he needs is a female rapper to add to the roster; perhaps Foxy Brown or Ami Miller. I still remember Amerie being on "106 & Park" and gushing about this album and if we bought it, we wouldn't be disappointed. Well I took her word for it and bought it and at $5.99, it was quite the steal. Amerie's debut album, "All I Have" went gold and featured the first single, "Why Don't We Fall In Love". The album's second single was "Talkin' To Me". Both singles were very successful. The album was produced by Rich Harrison and together, he and Amerie created a sound that would become quite universal and replicable. There are some really decent songs on the album such as "Nothing Like Loving You", "Need You Tonight", "Show Me"(personal favorite), and "I Just Died".

Rah Digga wasted no time in her efforts to put out a new album. "Classic" is her first album in 10 years and its primarily produced by Nottz. The album's first single; "This Ain't No Lil' Kid Rap" hit iTunes a few weeks back. There is no guest appearances on the album. Amerie went gold with her debut album; All I Have and just missed the mark with Touch . Touch was released in 2005 and features the hit single; 1 Thing . The title track was released as the second single and the video featured T.I. Amerie continues her work with producer Rich Harrison as the duo explore a somewhat darker sound sans the 1 Thing . Songs like the haunting Come With Me play on the darker melodic sound found here. Some of my favorite songs are Talkin' About, Rollin' Down My Face, Not The Only One, Come With Me, and Like It Used To Be . You will notice that the 98% of this album is uptempo save for the end where this a mid tempo song. Hello everyone! Whitney Houston has been pretty quiet here in the states. She's been putting in a lot of work overseas and she continues to. Her next single overseas will be 'Nothin But Love'; which is a personal favorite of mine. The title also serves as the name of Whitney's tour. As far as stateside music is concerned; I've read many different things regarding Whitney's next single. I believe the last thing I read mentioned that 'Worth It' will be her next single; another song I like. Make sure you be on the lookout for that! This is Amerie's third video single from her album, 'In Love & War' in stores now. I don't care much for the song but the video is pretty nice. I like the chemistry between her and Fab more so in the video and the ending is really cool too. Check it out!

Despite the lackluster sales of her latest album, Amerie is not breaking a sweat. The R&B star is looking past the initial weeks and toward the bigger picture.
