"Anytime Anyplace" was one of the many hits from Janet's 1993 self-titled album. The album just turned 23 this month. The video was just as steamy as the song if not more. Enjoy this video for "Flashback Friday" and enjoy your Holiday weekend!

"Same Ole Love" was the third single released from Anita Baker's 5x Platinum album, "Rapture". The song peaked at #8 R&B and #44 Pop in 1987.

Do any of you remember Chuckii Booker? He has a few R&B hits under his belt from the late 80s and early 90s. His debut single and video for "Turned Away" went to #1 on the R&B charts and #42 on the Pop charts. I was familiar with this song before but I hadn't heard it in years until the beginning of this year when I was listening to iTunes radio. Anyway enjoy tonight's Flashback Friday video from 1989 when I was just five years old. :) Goodnight!

Jody Watley emerged into a successful solo career in 1986 with the release of "Looking For A New Love". The single went to #2 Pop and #1 R&B. The song is notable for the catchphrase "hasta la vista baby".

My "Flashback Friday" series is back and this time its the late Teena Marie performing on "Soul Train". She is performing her 1979 hit "I Need Your Lovin'" from her album "Lady T". For a true flashback check it out!

In 1995 Brandy released the single "Best Friend" off her 1994 quadruple platinum self-titled album. "Best Friend" is an ode to her partner in crime, her beloved and always controversial brother Ray J. Go back in time and check out this classic video by R&B's vocal bible.

Do you all remember Jane Child? She released her single "Don't Wanna Fall In Love" in 1989 on the Warner Bros. record label. I remember the video in heavy rotation on MTV and VH1. Jane had a distinctive voice as well as style. Check out the video which was shot in New York.
