Did You Know? "Did You Know" is a new post I will be doing periodically which will reveal little known music facts that you might know or might not know. Singers Aaliyah and Changing Faces both recorded the song "Come Over". Aaliyah's version of the song was recorded years ago and wasn't released until after her untimely death if my memory serves me correct. Changing Faces' version appeared on their 2000 album, '"Visit Me". The song was written and produced by Teddy Bishop and John'ta Austin. That "bitch" Actor Charlie Sheen appeared on the TV show, "Watch What Happens Live" and when host Andy Cohen asked him about Rihanna, he referred to her as "that bitch!". Rihanna's fans heard the jab and went in on Charlie Sheen. Now I can only imagine the things they said about him considering all that you can say about Charlie Sheen. The jab stems back from Rihanna refusing to take a picture with Charlie Sheen and his girlfriend awhile back. Depending on when you can encounter Rihanna, she can be nice or she can be "that bitch". Rihanna News: Tinashe is mad!!! The singer took to social media and disclosed that her album, "Joyride" which was set to be released in the coming weeks is not being ripped apart. The title track was given to Rihanna and will be included in a rumored "Anti" re-release. Tinashe took a jab at Beyoncé claiming she was the first to use an inspired makeup idea that Bey debuted in the video for "Sorry". Sounds like its been a bad week for Tinashe or should I say a bad last week. If that ain't enough, Chris Brown blasted her after she spoke out against him for disrespecting Kehlani. Oh shucks! Chingy says he is not endorsing Donald Trump after everyone came for him on social media. My thing is this, if your for Trump then stand by your choice. Don't backtrack when you get called out on it. Mariah Carey is still technically married to Nick Cannon so she won't be getting married anytime soon. Her fiance is also still married. Hmm. Nick Cannon, however did send his congratulations. And after Keshia Knight-Pulliam of "The Cosby Show" got married to Ed Hartwell, both their exes, Lisa Wu and Big Tigger were seen celebrating at one of Lisa's events. Messsssy! R. Kelly opened up, somewhat about his marriage relationship to Aaliyah. He said how much he was in love with her and how they were best friends. MUSIC BITS: Happy Birthday to the late great Aaliyah. The star would of been 36 years old today. Aaliyah's life was recently chronicled in the ill-fated biopic late last year on Lifetime. HERE COMES THE BRIDE: So now that everyone is somewhat over the disaster that was the Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B movie, I can feel free to move on to other things. The big news today is the nuptials of Solange and Alan Ferguson! The couple tied the knot today in New Orleans. Beyoncé, Jay Z, Tina Knowles, Richard Lawson(Tina's man), and Juelz(Solagne's son) were in attendance. There was no sighting of Mathew Knowles and his village of children. The Aaliyah movie wasn't the only thing that people were talking about last night. SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL: Kendrick Lamar was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live last night and his appearance which was a homage to Method Man circa All I Need To Get By . If you know anything about that Method Man looked crazy as hell. His hair was half braided and he had a white contact lens. I think Lifetime should opt out of doing biopics unless it deals with some stylized murderer or serial killer. I don't think music biopics are their thing and they proved that last night. Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B which is based on the book Aaliyah: More Than A Woman aired last night on Lifetime. Before the movie's inception, there had been a storm of controversy from everything to who should play Aaliyah to Lifetime being involved in the movie's depiction. If that wasn't enough gossip maven Wendy Williams became executive producer. With Wendy being attached, we were sure we were going to get the goods but we got that and then some. What we got was a lot of bad acting, inaccurate storylines(to viewers anyway), and wrong choice of actors. None of the actors looked remotely close to who they were portraying. ROCK THE BOAT: Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B movie is set to air tonight on Lifetime. Based on the previews I've seen the movie looks like one big joke. The acting looks very stale and since the family doesn't approve of the movie, Aaliyah's music was not used in the movie. Instead it was rerecorded by the actress Alexandra Shipp. I guess I will have to reserve my final opinion of the movie after I watch it tonight. At first I had no plans to watch the movie not because of the family's objections but more so because it doesn't look all that good. Then again its Saturday night and there's not much else on TV anyway so why not watch. While everyone is already unhappy with the making of this film, maybe one day another film can be produced more to the thrill of the fans and the family of Aaliyah. You have to think about the dozens of movies that were made about Nelson Mandela. There can always be another Aaliyah movie made in the future so just wait on that! B...

Wendy Williams has confirmed that the Aaliyah biopic, Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B will air on Lifetime Saturday November 15. Wendy says the movie was filmed over the Summer in Toronto and is based off the book by Christopher Farley. Are you all ready for the Aaliyah movie airing this Fall? 

WILD WILD WEST: Kanye West is back up to his old tricks again. This time the controversial rapper is under fire for his behavior at a recent Sydney, Australia concert. When Kanye urged fans to stand up he noticed that two fans weren't standing. One was confirmed to have a prosthetic leg and couldn't stand. Kanye went on with the show. Then he noticed someone else in a wheelchair who was not standing and had his security check to see if the person was really disabled. It turns out they were. Prior to this Kanye chastised the audience and complained about how long its taking for him to perform his songs. A typical asshole if you ask me! MORE THAN A BIOPIC: Wendy Williams has added executive producer to the upcoming Aaliyah biopic due to air on Lifetime. The movie has been doomed from the start with Zendaya Coleman dropping out. Let's see if Wendy can breathe life into this biopic. SECOND CHANCES: Nicole Scherzinger formerly of The Pussycat Dolls has signed to Epic Records. L.A. Reid recently revealed the news via Twitter.

DROP THIS: Zendaya Coleman has dropped out of the Aaliyah biopic! The Disney star reportedly quit after receiving a negative feedback from Aaliyah's family and fans who petitioned the movie's production. It is now being reported that Rihanna is in talks to play Aaliyah. All I know is if people are unsatisfied with that choice and Rihanna gets the role, she will have no problem letting everyone have it! Rihanna will tell a person off very quickly! SHOTS FIRED: Shots rang out this weekend during the BET Awards '14 festivities. One man was shot and four were injured when cops were called to the scene at 5:17 a.m. Let's just hope that everyone else stays safe and the BET Awards goes on without a hitch. BIO-RHYTHM: Lifetime is now planning a biopic on Aretha Franklin. The famed singer wants Jennifer Hudson or Audra McDonald to play her. Aretha recently met up with Lifetime producers to discuss the film. 

DIVORCE COURT: The Beyoncé & Jay Z divorce rumors continue to linger on. Reports are now saying that Jay Z has been having an affair with singer Mya. If you recall the two collaborated the hit song Best Of Me Remix . There was some talk then that the pair had been romantically involved but then both were single. The report also goes on to say that Jay Z has been taking care of Mya for the last few years. What do you think? Is there some truth to the Jay Z cheating rumors or nah? I say this because these rumors have legs, like its a story that is not going away. Of course this all comes on the heels of Beyoncé & Jay Z's On The Run tour. SHE: Keyshia Cole has revealed a snippet of her new single, She which will be released on Tuesday. It is the newest single being released from Keyshia's new album Point Of No Return due this Summer. Keyshia's last two singles, Rick James and Next Time haven't performed that well but maybe She will be more successful. I guess we shall wait and see. 2ND KELLY: Though its been a lot of upheaval regarding Aaliyah's upcoming biopic for Lifetime, the producer of the movie has spoken. RUN OF THE MIL: Amid reports that their tour was not selling so well, a report has now been published by Billboard that Beyoncé & Jay Z's tour is indeed selling well. It is selling so well that it will be one of the highest grossing tours this years. Well take that! In other Beyoncé news she will return to HBO with a special of performances airing every Sunday before True Blood. The performances were recorded during The Mrs. Carter World Tour which ran for an entire year. COPY CAT: Kelly Rowland says her next album, which she is currently working on with her pregnant belly and all will be a visual album a la Beyoncé's latest offering. She is still in the early stages of the album right now though. I mean are you even excited? I like Kelly Rowland but her albums are hit and miss for me. I like her first two albums though. NO BIOPIC: I reported this before but Aaliyah's family is not happy about plans to make the Aaliyah biopic. The family says Lifetime never contacted them in regards to the movie. So in turn they will do everything they can to block the movie. Like the Houston family, Aaliyah's family feels her story should be one for the big screen. THE ACCUSED: Producer The-Dream has spoke against allegations that he's an abuser. The famed producer simply states that because of his money and clout he's a target. That is true but abuse is a serious matter and people don't just say that if its not true. It would be really vicious of the accuser to have made up such a vile thing.

Cassie posted a picture of herself and later cropped the picture when there was a noticeable bulge in her stomach. Just a few weeks ago Cassie posted a picture with a more toned belly and physique. AGE AIN'T NOTHIN' BUT A NUMBER: The big story today is that an actress has finally been chosen to portray the late great Aaliyah. Zendaya Coleman( Dancing With The Stars , Disney's Shake It Up ) will portray Aaliyah in the film airing on VH1 this Fall. A biopic of Aaliyah has been in the works for quite some time. The idea of who should play Aaliyah has sparked many debates over the years. Interestingly enough there have been an onslaught of  biopics to come out of the woodworks in recent months. TLC, whose lives were chronicled in their own VH1 biopic was a hit with audiences and fans. Lifetime is producing the Whitney Houston biopic and 2 Pac's life will be chronicled on the big screen. The companies are seeing green with biopics right now so expect more of them in the future.

Any news is better than no news.  Interesting news. Actress Angela Bassett will direct an upcoming biopic about the late great Whitney Houston. The biopic set to air on Lifetime in 2015 will chronicle the rise and fall of Whitney Houston, her rocky relationship with Bobby Brown, and her drug use. There is no word on who will be cast as Whitney. If you all recall Whitney starred alongside Angela Bassett in Waiting To Exhale back in 1997. I think its great that Angela is directing Whitney's biopic. Speaking of biopics Aaliyah's story is finally coming to the big screen very soon. I heard that an actress had been cast as the late great Aaliyah. I believe they will do a theatrical release of Aaliyah's biopic then again it could always be a made for TV movie which has been the big thing lately with biopics.

So Ashanti's oft-delayed album BraveHeart has been officially scrapped! I broke the news a day or so ago. Now I have the new release date which is March 4, 2014. Let's see how this all pans out. After numerous push backs and delays Ashanti has yet to publicly speak on it but she did promise fans on Twitter to let them know what's really going on. Meanwhile the singer was just in Las Vegas with Eve and T.I. where she did a show. Do you think Ashanti's new album will come out on March 4, 2014 or do you not even care anymore or never cared in the beginning? While you think about that I was reading a few days ago that the late Aaliyah's mother is sick with cancer. Well Aaliyah's brother Rashad Haughton put a end to the rumors via Twitter proclaiming that his Mother is not "sick" but "thanks for the concern". Well there you go! Glad she is is not sick.
