Rapper, Remy Ma has just signed a multi-million dollar deal with Columbia Records(Beyoncé's record label) which will release her next album. The album's first single has been revealed and its her collaboration with Lil' Kim titled, "Wake Me Up" which is said to be a Nicki Minaj dis. It was just a month or so ago when Remy Ma and Lil' Kim posed for a picture in the studio speaking of their upcoming collaboration. A video for the single has been shot and pictures acquired from TMZ show the rappers alongside a sports car and standing alongside one another in an undisclosed location. In the song, Remy is said to attack Nicki's relationship with Nas among other things. It looks like things are about to get much worse between Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj. I was surprised when I heard that The Weekend was mad at Drake for breaking the bro code and then when I found out why, I was even more shocked. Well it seems that Drake is dating The Weeknd's ex-girlfriend. I don't know the name of the women in question but when you think about all of the women linked to both The Weeknd and Drake, its quite exhausting. Drake is a womanizer so him shacking up The Weeknd's ex is not a huge surprise when you think about it. Plenty of women throw themselves at Drake(and The Weeknd) and Drake throws himself at plenty of women. Maybe these two can patch things up in the long run and give us another hot collaboration. Release your inner music freak Atlanta rapper Shawty Lo has passed away today at the age 40. The streets of Atlanta were filled with people paying their respects for the rapper. Shawty Lo perished in a car accident. He leaves behind numerous children and was once set to have a reality show on the WE network but it was later rejected. The Billboard Awards are going on as I type this. With that being said, I will give a brief recap of what has occurred so far. The award show, hosted by Ciara and Ludacris opened with a performance from Britney Spears. She performed a medley of her hits including "Toxic" and "I'm a Slave 4 U". The Weeknd won for Hot 100 Artist. Wiz Khalifa won for his "Furious 7" song, can't remember the name of it. Fifth Harmony performed, "Work From Home". Meghan Trainor performed, "No". Oh yeah, Justin Beiber also performed. :( Nick Jonas performed and Shawn Mendes. Presenters included DJ Khaled, Kelly Rowland, Keke Palmer, Heidi Klum, Michael Strahan, etc. At this point I'm pretty much just waiting on the Prince tribute. Earlier this year Future surprised us with his third straight #1 album, "EVOL". After being such a big fan of Future's last album, "DS2" I just knew I would like this album. After first listen, the album was sort of blah to me. Maybe I didn't give it a fair chance so I went back just recently and started listening to this album when I worked out. I realize that "EVOL" is actually a proper follow up to "DS2", though I feel Future shouldn't rush release albums. Okay so on to the review, "Aint No Time" opens the album which is a listenable track, not my favorite. Much better is "In Her Mouth", where Future says "I'm trying to fuck the DA lady in her mouth though". This is one of my favorite songs on the album. "Maybach" follows which isn't bad. Next is "Xanny Family" which is also very enjoyable and features quite a few laughable lines from Future who is a very witty lyricist. ...

Nicki Minaj and Eminem are both featured on the remix to The Weeknd's "The Hills" song but on separate tracks. Speaking of Nicki, she spoke out on the beef between Meek and Drake saying "their grown ass men" and "it hurts" cause she loves both of them. Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson went on social media and claimed to have sent nude pictures to Rihanna and says she has yet to respond. I bet she showed her friends the pics. Now she just needs to show us! :) Then again hell Chad might show them himself being the type of person he is. The BET Hip Hop Awards were recorded last night and are set to air on October 15. In attendance were 2 Chainz, Diddy, Lil' Kim, Snoop Dogg, Lil' Scrappy, Bambi, Redman, T-Pain, Big Tigger, Maino, DeJ Loaf, Soulja Boy, Rick Ross and many more. Future says he's releasing another album before the year is out! Why? I don't know but personally I think he should wait. "DS2" is still doing moderately well right now so he should continue with the momentum of that. Releasing another album so soon in my opinion will dim the light that is on "DS2" but what do I know? I say, if you want to release something, release another mixtape, preferably "Beast Mode 2". Ha! Speaking of new albums, The Weeknd's new album, "Beauty Behind The Madness" has debuted at #1 this week. The album sold 412,000 copies. I'm sure next week the album will be Gold. Congrats to the Weeknd! He's been grinding for some years. I can't say I'm that big of a fan of his music now then I was in the past but I do like "The Hills" and "Earned It". Well it just so happens that Beyonce wants us to become vegans and she told us how to do in so many days. That was her big announcement on "Good Morning America" this morning. Who was surprised? It is that time of the year where you all will start seeing every blogger post their year end list of favorite albums and the like. Since there isn't much news really worth reporting today, I figure I'll take some time to mention my favorite albums of 2014. There weren't many albums that I found all that amusing like most of you. I usually don't like most albums as a whole. I usually only like a handful of songs but these albums mentioned below struck a chord with me. I'll first start with Bravehear t by Ashanti. It was a long road to getting this album released but once she did, it debuted in Pop top 10 signifying Ashanti's staying power over the years. For such a long wait I felt the music on Braveheart was really good and Ashanti previewed a lot of the music beforehand so there was a lot to look forward to. My favorite song is Early In The Morning featuring French Montana. Oh when I first heard it, the song stayed on repeat. I even got my niece liking it....

Kelis has been out of the spotlight for awhile. Now the singer is back shooting a video for her new single Jerk Ribs , which leaked out this past Summer. She is also shooting a video for another single titled Rumble . I'm personally hoping Kelis goes back to her Urban stylings that she's abandoned with her last few albums. I think she shins the best as an Urban artist. Just saying! The Weeknd is going on tour with Justin Timberlake. The Canadian born singer will be supporting his newest album Kiss Land in stores and online now. The tour stars this Wednesday November 6 at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

Hot on the heels off the recent success of R&B albums by Tamar Braxton, John Legend, and Jaheim, here comes another flock of R&B albums debuting next week. First up is The Weeknd whose second album Kiss Land is said to debut with sales of 90-100K next week. Janelle Monae will also debut with her new album The Electric Lady with sales of 45-50K. Speaking of Tamar Braxton, the singer is releasing a new Christmas album on October 22. The album will feature Christmas classics and some originals. This news comes on the heels of Tamar's new album Love & War topping the R&B and Pop charts. Speaking of Christmas, K. Michelle will release a Christmas Deluxe Edition of her album Rebellious Soul which was released this past August. The song will feature six new songs. No other details of the album have been released thus far.

Love In The Sky will appear on The Weeknd's upcoming album Kiss Land due September 10.

Canadian singer The Weeknd has reunited with Drake. The two are responsible for the hit single Crew Love from Drake's album Take Care . There was said to be a beef between the two artists and if it existed, its all dead and gone now. The two have been in the studio collaborating on The Weeknd's upcoming album Kiss Land . Kiss Land will be in stores by year's end. I say that because no official release date has been given. I have read that the album would be released late Summer but let's be real here...Summer's almost over, well in two more months. I, like everyone else was a huge fan of Crew Love and if this upcoming collaboration is anything like that, we're in for a treat. Right? I was watching Watch! What Happens Live! and I saw that Ashanti will be appearing on the show Thursday August 1. The show airs at 11 PM EST time. For an independent artist Ashanti sure can book shows! I give her that. I can't say much else right now but I'm excited to see...
