Just when we all thought music was an afterthought to Justin Timberlake; the singer/actor is back in the studio working on a new album; his third as a solo artist. Justin will be reuniting with his frequent collaborator Timbaland. Producer Jim Beanz(worked with Ashanti) will also be on board for the upcoming album. While there is no release date available yet; we can likely look forward to the new album sometime next year.  Melanie Fiona has chosen Wrong Side Of A Love Song as her 4th single from her album The MF Life . Melanie performed the song on the BET Awards this year and drew a lot of positive feedback. 

Melanie Fiona releases a viral video for the song; "Watch Me Work" complete with scenes from various movies including "What's Love Got To Do With It", "Kill Bill", "Foxy Brown", and "Thelma & Louise". The video is interesting but it is a little too much going on.

Yesterday I posted the behind the scenes footage of Melanie Fiona's new video; "4 AM" and now here is the full length video. The single is racing up the R&B charts and the accompanying album; "The MF Life" will be in stores and online December 6.

Melanie Fiona can currently be heard on Cee Lo's "Fool For You" and some vocals leaked out from a duet with Tyrese titled, "The Rest Of Our Lives". There is also a version leaked out with Brandy. I haven't heard either version.

Mary J. Blige's upcoming album; "My Life II: The Journey Continues" has had many pushbacks. Now the album is being released November 21. The album's current single; "25/8" recently debuted on the R&B/Hip Hop Songs charts. Let's see if this date actually sticks. Melanie Fiona will "finally" release her new album; "The MF Life" on November 15; a week earlier than Blige's. The album contains the singles; "Gone & Never Coming Back" and the newest single; "4 AM" which is climbing up the charts. I noticed an interesting observation. If everything goes according to schedule; three albums that share the title; "Life" will all be released in November. Two being Mary J. Blige and Melanie Fiona but also Monica with her "New Life" album in stores and online November 29.

I had been reading a lot of positive things about this new Melanie Fiona song and I finally heard it on the radio a few weeks ago and I don't like it. I think its safe to say her debut album, "The Bridge" was pretty slept on for the most part. I never really gave it a chance though. Her single, "It Kills Me" went to #1 on the R&B charts and the singer found herself with a Grammy nomination and Soul Train Award nomination. Now the singer is working on a new album, "The MF Life" due sometime next year. Make sure you all look out for that! Christina Milian is working on a new album hopefully due next year. Her album, "Elope" which she was working with alongside The-Dream is being reworked. I'm sure you've heard the song. It's the #1 R&B song in America for a few weeks now and it belongs to Canadian born singer Melanie Fiona. Her debut album, 'The Bridge' has been in stores for awhile now. The song itself has been out for awhile but I just got a hold of the single cover and for some reason Melanie is reminding me of someone else; I just can't put my finger on it right now though. Lil Wayne's rock album Rebirth has suffered another setback. Originally due for release in April last year, the LP has already been delayed several times and was last expected to hit stores on February 1. Rebirth will be released while Wayne is in jail serving a one-year sentence for gun charges, which is due to begin next month. I had mentioned before how I thought it was so crazy how labels push out singles and videos so fast. They don't even give singles(from certain artists) a chance nowadays. They are really forcing the artists down our throats and not so much their music or singles. Am I making sense? I don't know.
