R. Kelly was to thank for the career resurgence of The Isley Bros. He introduced them to a younger generation and they kept the hits coming through the early 2000s.

Since the inception of Ronald Isley's alter ego; Mr. Biggs back in the late 90s; R. Kelly has kept The Isley Bros. on top of the charts exposing them to a new generation and legions of new fans. "Busted" is one of my favorite songs from The Isley Bros. and I like the call and response of the hook. The video and the song itself is quite laughable and comes courtesy of the genius R. Kelly. Oh and JS were composed of The Johnson Sisters and I can't quite remember if they were twins or not. Their debut album "Ice Cream" was produced by R. Kelly as was the title track. If I'm not mistaken both sisters were romantically involved with Ronald Isley and R. Kelly. I believe one of the Johnson sisters married Ronald Isley.

For a time R. Kelly had a hand in a series of duets that revolved around Ronald Isley and his alter ego; Mr. Biggs. Together the two collaborated on songs such as this; "Contagious" and "Down Low".

Nicki Minaj's first single to her upcoming album, "Pink Friday" will be "Right Through Me". The song is said to be controversial. The song is said to debut in two weeks. As far as current single, "Your Love", it is said to appear on "Pink Friday" as a bonus track. Look out for Nicki's debut album in stores and online November 23. Ronald Isley returns to the music scene with a new album, "Mr. I" which will be online and in stores on September 28. This is kind of surprising given I haven't seen much promo for the album until now. The album's first single is "No More" which recently leaked out. Before this album, The Isley Bros. were known as a funk band who were popular in the 70s and 80s. Thanks to R. Kelly and his influence of The Isley Bros, he is responsible for bring the group back to prominence. Some of his work with Ronald Isley may have alienated some of The Isley Bros. core fans. In the meantime R. Kelly helped introduce The Isley Bros. to a whole new generation. I remember gushing about this album and asking my mother to buy it for me. Luckily I received the album as a Christmas gift. It was one of the first CDs I had. This was the same Christmas that I got my first CD boombox. With that new CD boombox, I wanted new CDs to play in it. The album's first single, "Let's Stay Together" was produced by R. Kelly and featured the producer on backing vocals.
