Remember Shareefa who brought us the singles, "Cry No More" and "Need A Boss" featuring Ludacris? Well the singer is back this time with new label, Geffen/Interscope and of course DTP. The singer recently released her mixtape, "The Misunderstanding Of Shareefa". The mixtape features production by Chucky Thompson(who worked with Faith Evans), Rodney Jerkins, and The Trackmasters. Today Bun B releases his newest album, "Trill O.G.". The album features the new single, "Countin' Money" featuring Yo Gotti & Gucci Mane. After the steamy video clip of Day 26's, "So Good", I came up with the idea of listing a few well-known and not so well-known songs that features the title 'good' in it. It is safe to say that Mya had fallen off pretty hard once her "Liberation" album wasn't released in the states. On many message board I visited, Mya was the butt of many jokes. Despite all the negative press, Mya kept trucking on releasing an album overseas titled, "Sugar & Spice" and now she's back here in the states with her new mixtape, "Beauty & The Streets" and her new video for single, "Show Me Somethin" featuring Bun B. Bun B is featured on the song, "Trouble" but not in this video. There were some behind the scenes footage that was released awhile back which featured Bun B. I will have to locate that footage cause I'm not sure if it resembled anything in this new video. Bun B is obviously not in this video for a reason. Most people may of heard of the new Mya track featuring Bun B., "Show Me Something". If not you can hear a bit of it here or you can always check it out elsewhere. Anyway I just read that Mya has a few mixtapes, "Beauty & The Streets Vol. 1 and 2" coming out and a song with Nicki Minaj called, "Ponytail". Looks like Mya is slowly grinding and trying to get her name back. Can't be mad at that!

Whitney Houston is currently in the UK during a press release for her new album, "I Look To You" due September 1. The album's long rumored first single, "I Didn't Have My Own Strength" leaked out and the response was lukewarm. The vocals on the song were raspy and scratchy. Fact is that is how Whitney has sounded over the last few years. It is no surprise that her voice is not what it used to be. I wish Arista and Clive Davis would stop making Whitney sing all these power ballads. They are just not in anymore. All Whitney needs is some strong, hip material similar to that on the "My Love Is Your Love" album. Now the Alicia Keys song, "Million Dollar Bill" is being touted as the album's first single. And "I Didn't Know My Own Strength" was said to be a rough copy that leaked out. I think that was how Whitney did the song but the way it sounds, it sounds convincing. She is still in the shadows of Beyonce and every time she comes out with a new project, some new rumor surfaces about Beyonce and Mathew Knowles trying to dethrone her career. Who knows how much of it is even true if any of it at all? It just seems true because The Knowles clan has a reputation for being slimy and shady.
