Beyoncé on vocal rest. I was on Twitter earlier where I saw the hashtag #PrayForBeyoncé and I was wondering what was wrong. Well it turns out the singer had to cancel a performance due to vocal rest. Hey it happens to the best! Get well Beyoncé.  Rich Homie Quan, Rick Ross, Drake, Toya Wright, Nicki Minaj, and Young Thug are just a handful of artists who have shown support to Lil' Wayne after he announced that he was "mentally defeated" after his ongoing feud with Birdman. Birdman has been withholding Lil' Wayne's "The Carter 5" album for quite some time. Just when it looked like things were working out, Birdman and Lil' Wayne were at it again. The big news today is that FOX has cancelled "American Idol" after 15 seasons. The show will air its finale on May 2016. Many were surprised by this news only because the cancellation of "American Idol" has been long overdue. Speaking of FOX, they had their Upfront today which is when the network announces their new shows, returning shows, and the stars of the various shows. FOX's #1 new show "Empire" was of course the talk of the town as the cast showed up minus Terrance Howard. I wonder why he wasn't in attendance? Anyway Brandy and Jennifer Hudson joined the cast. And with that being said its been announced that NeYo, Lenny Kravitz, and Alicia Keys will guest star on the new season of the show. There have been other names tossed around as well but I guess we will see when the show premieres. I'm not sure when the new season starts but I do hope its before January. The movie stars Rosario Dawson and Michael K. Williams(of "The Wire"). Will we get to see the short film out side of the TIDAL domain? More than likely! "Rebel" is the newest single from Christina Milian. The song is currently available on iTunes and based on the snippet I heard, the song doesn't sound half bad. It actually sounds promising. I may want to check out Christina's upcoming album if and when it hits. But something sure to help this song gain momentum is a new feud that has arisen between Christina and Nicki Minaj. Christina was seen on her IG page with a shirt that says "Pretty On Fleek", a quote that was said by Nicki in her "Feeling Myself" track so Nicki made a comment saying she is responsible for the "on fleek" word craze that is going around. Then Christina responded basically saying she thought it was an equal opportunity phrase and then it went from there. It's a pretty pointless feud I guess but maybe Nicki was bored. I can't say I'm excited about the telecast but I'm sure I'll watch since there will likely not be nothing else on then again Atlanta Housewives may be on so I might just stick around my Mother's house to watch that. Bloop! Tyga has pushed back the release of his album The Gold Album since he is still battling Cash Money. I'm really starting to wonder is anyone really anticipating this album anyway? I mean I know I will be downloading though when it comes out! Kid Cudi is back in the studio working on his new album Man On The Moon 3. And if your fan of his I'm sure your excited about the news. MUSIC BITS: Good afternoon all! August Alsina got into a scuffle after a show in St. Louis in support of Mike Brown. Not really sure on the specifics of the scuffle but I did read that there was a lot going on behind the scenes that led to the unfortunate event. Michelle's new album Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart debuts with 87K copies making it her second #1 R&B album this year. Next week Nicki Minaj is said to debut with 165K copies of her The Pink Print album and D'Angelo's surprise album is likely to top 100K copies. Just when we thought this wasn't going to get ugly. It looks like it just might after all. I feel like if an artist is not happy where they are let them go. Why hold them in contempt? CASHED OUT: So the big story of the day is Lil' Wayne calling out Cash Money! The golden boy of Cash Money has called out the label for not releasing his new album The Carter V . He goes on to say that he wants off the label and he is a prisoner. This news comes on the heels of other Cash Money artists, Tyga and Lil' Twist airing their frustrations with the label. It really makes you wonder what's really going on in the Cash Money camp? INDEPENDENT GRIND: And speaking of Tyga he revealed that his long awaited album The Gold Album will be released independently next year. So does that mean Tyga finally got released from Cash Money? I guess we will have to wait and see.
