Mariah gets a special visitor Mariah Carey got a special visit from Beyoncé during her Christmas concert at the Beacon Theater in New York. The two posed for photos which later made the social media rounds and a second picture this time with both ladies and their kids. People poked fun at the fact that Beyoncé brought Blue Ivy, her daughter to play with Mariah's kids but won't bring Blue Ivy around North West, Kanye Wests' daughter.  Speaking of Kanye West, the rapper was seen meeting up with president elect Donald Trump at the Trump Tower. The move has shocked everyone and Kanye took to Twitter to express his reasons for meeting Donald Trump. Kanye tweeted that the two talked about violence in Chicago and curriculum among other things. Kanye also hashtagged "#2024" which I'm guessing is the year he plans to run for office as well. Have you all ever wondered what happened to Lloyd? He was responsible for such hit singles as "Southside" and "You". Well turns out the singer recently got his GED and he took to social media the share the news. Now on the music front, I'm not sure what happened to him. Then again I'm not sure if he knows. In other news, Remy Ma turns up on the trailer to the new season of "Love & Hip Hop New York". The rapper is seen arguing with one of cast mates and discussing her future with her husband Papoose. "Love & Hip Hop New York" airs on December 14 on VH1. Iggy Azalea took to Twitter to voice her shock at being the topic of Erykah Badu's opening monologue on the Soul Train Awards. I'll say Iggy, be glad people are even still talking about you at this point. I certainly don't think this is the last we heard from Iggy musically. I do think she has to come pretty hard to shut the naysayers up because she has a lot of them. ...

Wale releases new video for his single; "Sabotage" featuring Lloyd. I saw the video earlier today on "106 & Park". Don't really care for the song. Seems like I could never truly get into it. I would of thought Wale would of released; "Slight Work" featuring Big Sean as a single but guess not.

Lloyd is back with his new video for new single; "Be The One" which I believe was previously released some months back. I don't remember the song making that huge of a dent on the R&B charts but I guess the song is getting a second life. Lucky Lloyd! Lloyd's most recent album; "King Of Hearts" came and went faster than most albums. The first two singles; "Lay It Down" and "Cupid" were successful but that didn't help the album any since it was released months after both singles peaked. The album was pretty star studded and it was unfortunate that even their star power couldn't help. I mean he had R. Kelly, Keri Hilson, Chris Brown, The Game, and various other people on the album. It just goes to show you that sometimes less is really more.

Lloyd releases the video to his new single and the third off his latest album; "King Of Hearts" which vanished from the charts pretty fast. In my opinion the album was very underwhelming and they waited way too long to release it. I think "Cupid" and "Lay It Down" are the best songs on the album.

Even though T.I. has yet to get out of jail himself; DMX(who recently got out of jail) wants to collaborate. DMX is hoping to get back in the studio and record a new album and hopefully keep himself out of trouble. I remember DMX came back on while I was in high school and everyone was crazy about him at the time. It's funny how times have changed. Rihanna will release "Cheers" as the final single from her album; "Loud" before she embarks on releasing a re-release of the album. I mean I still don't see why she plans to re-release the album though. She might as well just do a new one in my opinion. Lloyd's "Dedication To My Ex(Miss That)" is the newest single from his recently released album; "King Of Hearts". The song features Lil' Wayne & Andre 3000. I hear the song just went to radio. I thought the song was rather corny upon listening and I really didn't care for his album. I was expecting a lot more from it.

Fabolous will release his new album; "Loso's Way 2: The Rise To Power" on September 13. There is no word on the album's first single but it should be released very soon. Look out for that! That's the word on the street! With his movie and TV career in high gear; Justin has pretty much ditched music much to the dismay of many fans. It's been five years since his last album; "FutureSex/LoveSounds". I'm sure if and when Justin comes back out; he'll be okay. His only competition was Usher when they were sparring back and forth at one point. Other than that he'll be okay. I mean you see other artists who haven't dropped albums in 10 or more years and they come back like alright like Sade and Maxwell. Surely every artist can't do that and be successful but JT will be fine! I'm not sure if I posted this already but it hasn't been that long that this info has been available. There's been quite a few pushbacks for Lloyd's new album; "King Of Hearts". I'm not really sure why since both singles he's released thus far; "Lay It Down" and "Cupid" have been hits. Lloyd will release his new album; "King Of Hearts" on June 28. The album features the singles; "Lay It Down" and "Cupid". The album has had numerous delays so hopefully this date will stick. I like "Lay It Down" but "Cupid" wasn't so hot to me. I don't even think I'm all that interested in his album at this point but I will still probably check it out!

Kelly Rowland will tap back into her R&B roots for her upcoming album due later this year. The singer's new single; "Motivation" is climbing the charts and is a favorite of mine right now. Producer Rico Love(worked with Pleasure P) is producing a bulk of the album and is responsible for the R&B sound that will be present. Personally I like R&B Kelly and I prefer that over anything else. I just think she needs the right push and promotion and she will be fine. Lil' Wayne's "The Carter IV" will now be released on June 21 and not June 3. This is the album's third pushback. Let's see how long this sticks. As we all know pushing back albums for R&B/Hip Hop releases is standard. Producer Krucial Keys has revealed that Alicia Keys is back in the studio and plans to release a new album this year. If you know Alicia Keys and how she puts out albums; its likely to be released during the holidays. Alicia's last album, "The Element Of Freedom" went platinum but was underwhelming in sales due to some of the bad press she received from dating and marrying Swizz Beats. Despite that she still churned a respectable hit single such as the #1, "Un-Thinkable(I'm Ready)". Those anticipating Lloyd's new album, "King Of Hearts" will have to wait a little longer. I was just reading that Fantasia was upset that she didn't get asked to take part in the Aretha Franklin tribute at this year's Grammy's. Fantasia looks up to Aretha very much and I think I would of liked to see her up there, but there will be other chances. For the singers they had pay tribute to her; I thought they all did a pretty good job and that was my personal highlight of the show and basically the only thing I watched anyway.
