Jon B. is back with a new single and video; "Only One" from his upcoming album; "Comfortable Swagg". I'm not sure on a release date at presstime but when I find out; I will let it be known.

Jon B. - Body Language - Video

Jon B. returns with his new single and video for "Body Language" off his upcoming album; "Comfortable Swagg" in stores and online February 14, 2012. I see 2012 being the year we see a lot of artists return to the game that has been out of the game for awhile. I'm not sure how I feel about the new song though.

Throwback Video: Jon B. - They Don't Know

Image
I was on twitter and saw Jon B. Trending and like most people; when I see a celebrity name; I think they've died. More so in recent times though a celebrity name Trending on twitter doesn't usually indicate death anymore. Anyway Jon B. was Trending primarily due to another twitter Trending Topic; #RnBClassics His single and video for single; "They Don't Know" is the subject of Trending Topic #RnBClassics Check out the video from his 1997 album; "Cool Relax" which is a pretty good one by the way. I remember my sister had it back in the day. Me; personally I never owned it but I guess I could get my hands on it now if I really wanted to. ---------------- Now playing: Jon B. - They Don't Know - YouTube via FoxyTunes

Throwback Video: Jon B. Featuring Babyface - Someone To Love

Image
I remember when this song first came out; people couldn't tell the difference between Jon B. and Babyface's vocals. Their voices were very similar particularly in this song but I think over the years Jon B.'s vocals are a little stronger than Babyface's(just my opinion). I do like this song and it brings back a lot of memories listening to it. ---------------- Now playing: Jon B. Featuring Babyface - Someone To Love ft. Babyface - YouTube via FoxyTunes

Throwback Video: Jon B. Featuring Babyface - Someone To Love

The combination of Jon B's vocals as well as Babyface's had many people unable to tell the singers apart. Of course you wouldn't know until you saw the video here. ---------------- Now playing: Brownstone - 5 Miles To Empty via FoxyTunes

Has Jon B Been Sadly Forgotten?

Check out the new album cover and tracklisting for Jon B's new album, "Helpless Romantic" in stores October 28. The album is led by first single, "Oh So Sexy" feat Paul Wall. I recently let my sister hear "So Sexy" and she loves it. She told me that a radio DJ in Milwaukee, WI(I believe) was asking what happened to Jon B. Stupid fool! As a radio DJ you should have some type of knowledge about what's coming out. How could he not know? The song was shipped to Urban radio sure enough or it wouldn't have debuted on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Tracks chart. Ok...I had to vent a little! Anyway most artists signed to indie labels have a lack of support. When you think about it though so does a lot of artists signed to major labels. A lot of labels just don't like to take the risk of spending tons of money to promote an artist when their album bombs. I think it is time the label starts putting renewed interest in their products. 1) Oh So Sexy...

I Need U Bad As A Heartbeat

The Top 5 Albums I'm Waiting For

Image
I can be a very impatient person especially when it comes to new music. I hate when I really anticipate an album and its two months away. What really irks me is when the release date keeps getting pushed back. Nowadays it is certainly normal to expect at least one pushback with any album. Anyway I decided to compile a list of the Top 5 Albums I'm Waiting For. I actually made this list awhile back it has changed significantly. Prior to me posting this some of the albums I had listed has already come out. Check out my list and feel free to share your top 5. 5. Jon B - Hopeless Romantic A lot of people might wonder what happened to Jon B. If only they knew, he never went anywhere. After his 2001 album, "Pleasures U Like" failed to take off, Jon B. went indie. Taking the indie route may of been a factor for people thinking he dropped off the face of the earth. Anyway new single, "So Sexy" featuring Paul Wall is one of my favorite songs right now! Release Date: Octob...

Mariah's Fire, Pretty Ricky's Pushback, T.I.

Music News: Mariah Carey is said to have let go of famous manager Benny Medina. If you know of Medina he has aided the careers of Will Smith and Usher. It is said that Mariah was unhappy with Medina possibly reforming with JLO and her latest album, "E=MC2" only going platinum. "E=MC2" sucked badly and the choice of singles certainly didn't help things. Of course it was granted that this album was not going to be like "TEOM". I was thinking it would be somewhat close given the title and being that Mariah didn't rush release it like the label originally wanted. Pretty Ricky's new album, "80s Babies" has been pushed back to October 14. The album was originally scheduled to drop on September 23. The album is preceded by the singles, "Cuddle Up" featuring Butta Creme and "Knockin Da Boots"(a cover of the H-Town classic). If you ever notice most major label artists don't release an album behind a single if it underpe...

Robin's Sweet, Jon B's On, Beyonce's Boy

Call it the the battle of the blue-eyed soul singers. Robin Thicke and Jon B. unveil new songs and ironically both of their albums are scheduled to drop on September 30. I'm thinking Jon B.'s release date will change though. I like both men. If I had to choose between the two, I'd go with Jon B. I just have this thing for rooting for the underdogs. Audio: Robin Thicke - Sweetest Love Audio: Jon B - It's U Music News: It looks like the Beyonce rumors were true(for a change). Read below to find out about the new Beyonce album and single(s). Beyonce's third solo album will be released Nov. 18 via Music World Music/Columbia, and will be preceded Oct. 7 by the radio release of the singles "If I Were a Boy" and "Single Ladies." Beyonce co-wrote or co-produced all the material, which the label says comprises "her most personal, reflective and revelatory collection to-date." Justin Timberlake will also appear on the as-yet-untitled project, but...
