Album Spotlight: Marques Houston - Naked

I was pleasantly surprised that I ended up liking this album. Marques' debut single from this album; "Because Of You" was probably my least favorite song on the album; still I had an interest in the album.

This is the album that made me become a fan of Marques' "Grown & Sexy" style of R&B even though its not so evident on this album as it is on the predecessor; "Veteran". This is when Marques started growing up and taking himself a little more serious as a solo artist in my opinion. It was totally exploited on "Veteran" but it was still good.

The real hit single from this album was "Naked" and the video was pretty racy and a D'Angelo "How Does It Feel" rip off to many. There was the Neptunes sounding; "Something Else" which is my favorite. There is the scorned "Cheat" and the freaky "Do You Mind". There is the bouncy "12 O Clock" which features Joe Budden on who Marques previously collaborated with on "Clubbin".

All in all this is a pretty solid album and one of my favorites.

You all, my readers, my visitors; my supporters; you have made this post one of the most successful posts on my blog. I kept wondering what it was about this post, that made it so successful; one word: JANET! The fact that Janet has new music on the way makes this post even more of a hot topic. As its been said before, no one sings about sex quite like Janet Jackson. Her songs, ooze with the right amount of sexuality perfect for a night of steamy sex.
