Before Kelis, there was Neneh Cherry who Kelis was compared to early in her career."Buffalo Stance" was the breakthrough single from Cherry which was originally a B-Side single that blew up in a major way. "Buffalo Stance" went to #3 Pop/#30 R&B in 1989.

I kept wondering what it was about this post, that made it so successful; one word: JANET! The fact that Janet has new music on the way makes this post even more of a hot topic.
