Jason Derulo Suffers Neck Injury

No! Jason Derulo doesn't get much news coverage at my blog per say but I guess times are changing. Read more below regarding the singer's neck injury and how it will affect his upcoming tour.

Jason Derulo suffered a neck injury that forced him to cancel his tour.

Derulo suffered a broken neck during tour rehearsals. He was attempting an acrobatic move and landed on his head suffering a reported acute fracture to his vertebra.

The 22-year-old was rushed to Memorial West Hospital in Pembroke Pines, Florida this past week after sustaining the injury that reports say could have paralyzed him.

“My injury is called a “Hang Man’s Break” because it is the same bone that is broken when someone is hung! I am so blessed to still be here! 95% of ppl with the same injury end up paralyzed or gone,” the singer posted to his Facebook. ”Everything happens for a reason. Traumatic experiences can change you for the better. My outlook on life is so much clearer! Don’t forget what’s important. Life is short so do it today, tomorrow could be a day too late!”

Derulo was released but must wear a neck brace for the upcoming months. He canceled all upcoming tour dates and promotional appearances, reported Hollywood Reporter. According to CNN, the singer canceled his upcoming tour dates and tickets will be refunded.

Derulo explained, “The pain of letting you down cuts me way deeper than this injury I’ve sustained,” and that “I’m praying for a speedy recovery in order to perform for you in the near future.”
