Album Spotlight: Billy Lawrence - Paradise

I wouldn't be surprised if you have not heard of Billy Lawrence. Besides I didn't know who she was prior to 1997. I was introduced to Billy Lawrence through a friend of mine. He had been in Kmart and heard her album there. You remember when you used to be able to go in a record store and hear the album before you bought it? Well it was one of those cases. Always trusting his musical tastes; I went out on a limb and had my mother buy the album for me. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. Of course those she was looking at me like I was crazy. Like "Who is this?"

Over the years Billy Lawrence has worked with artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Busta Rhymes, Blaque, and Mase.

Billy Lawrence's voice can best be summed up as a light and airy. She is a soprano with a chipmunk like squeal of a voice. You would think automatically that would be annoying. Actually her voice is very soothing to the ears. She doesn't overdo it in anyway. She's subtle. Now for the music here.

Billy Lawrence's first single from "Paradise" was "Come On" featuring MC Lyte. The single also appeared on the "Set It Off" soundtrack. The single did alright on the charts but didn't exactly set it on fire either. Besides come on; some of my favorite songs are "Chances Are", "Whirlpool Of Love", "Hooked On You", and many more.

You all, my readers, my visitors; my supporters; you have made this post one of the most successful posts on my blog. I kept wondering what it was about this post, that made it so successful; one word: JANET! The fact that Janet has new music on the way makes this post even more of a hot topic. As its been said before, no one sings about sex quite like Janet Jackson. Her songs, ooze with the right amount of sexuality perfect for a night of steamy sex.
