Album Spotlight: Sole' - Skin Deep

Do you all remember Sole? Before she married Ginuwine; she released her sole album; 1999's "Skin Deep" which featured the singles; "It Wasn't Me" featuring Ginuwine and "4,5,6" featuring JT Money and Kandi.

Before Sole released her own debut album she appeared on JT Money's "Who Dat" which was a hit. It set the stage for her debut album which features Sole's aggressive rhyme style.

I remember when my cousin bought this album; I was immediately drawn to the album's artwork. The artwork in itself is visually stunning and will make any person take a second look.

Sole tells many stories here and has a slick way of using words whether she is discussing her infatuation with a younger guy on "Young Nigga". She talks about a night at the club that resulted in a fight on "Da Story" and even dwells into past relationships on "We've Been Trying Too Long".

There is something for everyone here and you all should try and check this album out. I doubt this album is an easy find these days as it is probably likely out of print but who knows.

I kept wondering what it was about this post, that made it so successful; one word: JANET! The fact that Janet has new music on the way makes this post even more of a hot topic.
