Album Spotlight: Toni Braxton - Secrets

One thing I like about Toni Braxton is how consistent she is with each album. There is not one album in her catalog that I dislike. I like them all the same but obviously some a little more than others; case in point; Toni's sophomore album; 1996's 'Secrets'.

The album contains the hit singles; 'You're Making Me High' and 'Un-Break My Heart' among other songs. This was Toni's second hugest album in her career; her first being her debut album; 'Toni Braxton'.

The title alone is enough to draw anyone in. Exactly what secrets does Toni plan to reveal. Many songs play on the 'Secrets' concept exceptionally well including the first single; 'Your Making Me High'; my personal favorites; 'Come On Over Here' and 'Talking In His Sleep'.

The ballads reveal a sensitivity in Toni that many women can probably relate to. I think they also reveal many personal aspects of Toni's own life; hence the title 'Secrets'. 'Secrets' is a seductive and alluring title for any album.

Another thing I like about this album is the album jacket. Toni looks very sultry in every picture and that is reason enough to buy this album.
