Music Biz:
I found this while skimming through some message boards. I figured you all would be interested to see this. People don't make a big deal about how expensive videos are(or used to be). I remember when MTV used to do those shows where they would count down the most expensive videos.
Most expensive videos of 2008
1. “Womanizer” - Britney Spears ($236.000,00)
2. “4 Minutes” - Madonna feat. Justin Timberlake & Timbaland ($197.000,00)
3. “Feedback” - Janet Jackson ($186.000,00)
4. “When I Grow Up” - The Pussycat Dolls ($167.000,00)
5. “WOW” - Kylie Minogue ($152.000,00)
6. “Poker Face” - Lady GaGa ($149.000,00)
7. “Human” - The Killers ($124.000,00)
8. “Damaged” - Danity Kane ($119.000,00)
9. “Lollipop” - Lil Wayne ($117.000,00)
10. “The Fear” - Lily Allen ($108.000,00)

Black Eyed Peas 'Boom' With New Single Peak!
The Black Eyed Peas' new single, "Boom Boom Pow" (will.i.am/Interscope), will make a big boom on next week's singles charts. Interscope is projecting the song, released on March 31, will sell over 400,000 downloads in its first week, enabling a debut high atop the Hot Digital Songs chart. That sum will likely propel the single to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving the act its first chart-topper.
I never been a big fan of BEP. I did like "My Humps" and I was surprised to see them reunite. For some reason I figured after Fergie's solo album, they were pretty much done. I guess its good to see her go back and continue with the group even after all her solo success.

The Pussycat Dolls' 'Grow' With Re-Release!
The Pussycat Dolls are ready to dominate the pop world again when they re-release their Doll
Domination. Doll Domination 2.0 will have album favorites like "When I Grow Up" and "Bottle Pop," but it will also include a few new tracks. (Note: At press time, the CD was scheduled for an international release only and the label had no release date, although the tracks may be available digitally.)
PCD's first album was a huge hit and I was thinking this one would be the same. The album is selling but its more of a slow seller as opposed to the fast seller their debut was. A lot of the songs on the newer album were leftovers from Nicole's failed debut album, "Her Name Is Nicole". Ironically Nicole is prepping another solo album. I guess you have to give it to the girl. She doesn't give up!

Vanessa Williams Gets 'Real' On New Album!
'Ugly Betty' star Vanessa Williams is gearing up for a return to music with the help of noted producers Babyface Edmonds and Stargate !Williams, known as a successful actress who has not only carried a several year role on ABC's hit series "Ugly Betty" but has also been successful in films including "Shaft (2000)," is already recording songs for her eight studio album, Singersroom has learned. According to Concord Records, Williams is slated to release the album, titled "The Real Thing," June 2.
It's nice to hear that Vanessa Williams is returning to music. Back in the day Vanessa had a lot of hits like "The Right Stuff" and "Dreamin" which would easily grace any 80s hits compilation.

Brooke Valentine Gets 'Physical' On New Album, Mixtape!
Former "Girl Fight" singer Brooke Valentine is back and kicking new music on the recently released mixtape album "Physical Education".Released earlier this month, "Physical Education" features several new cuts from Valentine including "Pimped Out" (feat. Chamillionaire).Speaking on the release of the mixtape via Myspace, Valentine says "Throughout all of the trials and transitions I've been through on releasing the ‘Physical Education' album, we decided to give my fans an exclusive P.E. mixtape album so that you guys don't feel abandoned!""Physical Education" is currently available through Amazon.com, Rhapsody and Shockhound.
I know Brooke's first album, "Chain Letter" had critical acclaim and many people liked it. I did discover a few songs I loved such as "I Want You Dead" and my personal favorite, "Long As You Come Home". It's sad that Virgin did a shitty job promoting her and has yet to release her "Physical Education" album but sometimes you have to take certain situations into your own hands especially when you know your damn well capable of doing so.
