Britney Spears continued in her downward spiral with her love/hate relationship with the paparazzi (actually dating one of the photographers), pimping the media by faking a pregnancy, and her continued bout with custody of her two kids. This Just In: January 31 found the troubled star admitted to the UCLA hospital to undergo evaluation.
Alicia Keys
Alicia Keys continued to break records in the month of January as her "As I Am" album reclaimed the #1 spot as well as being certified 3x platinum. Her singles "No One" and "Like You'll Never See Me Again" continued their dominance on both the R&B/Pop charts. This Just In: Keys will be one of the many performers at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards and will be releasing "Wreckless Love" as her 3rd single.
Amy Winehouse
Aside from dying her hair blonde, Amy Winehouse caught flack for her refusal to clean up her act. Whether she was standing by her imprisoned husband or refusing "Rehab", Amy continues to walk the path of Fortune Street and Fame Ave. This Just In: Amy Winehouse just got treated for dehydration during her stint in rehab.
R. Kelly
R Kelly saw his child molestation trial pushed back more than Nicole Scherzinger's "Her Name Is Nicole" album. He saw a lawsuit from NeYo in regards to his "Double Up" tour. There were also the rumors that Kells was dating American Idol's Trenyce. This Just In: Kells has been sued by a concert promoter for not performing said show.
New York
Reality TV vixen New York kept us talking all throughout the month of January. The "I Love New York Reunion" aired and even though it wasn't all that, it was nice to see New York finally find love....for now. There was also a sex tape said to feature New York in which the star later denied. She even threatened legal action. This Just In: There are rumors that New York and Tailor Made are kaput! We'll see about that.
Janet Jackson
A month before the release of her 10th studio album, "Discipline", Janet is set to kick back into high gear. MTV's TRL premiered the "Feedback" video. Janet graced the cover of Billboard magazine. Numerous song titles, album information, reviews, photos, and an album cover surfaced. The "Feedback" single continued its upward climb into the top of the charts (for the most part). Positve "Feedback" indeed. This Just In: Some newly leaked songs from the "Discipline" album have leaked.
Mariah Carey
One of music's most awaited returns belongs to Mariah Carey. Her new album, 'That Chick" has already caused quite a stir. From her nude promo pic to her album track listing, Mariah suddenly got people talking all over again even if it is for all the wrong reasons. This Just In: Mariah's debut single, "Touch My Body" is said to leak sometime soon.
Raz B
Whether his claims about Chris Stokes are true or not, Raz B kept us talking throughout the early part of January. There was the fake reconciliation with Stokes and the upcoming B2K reality show. I think the best thing for Raz B to do now is put out a sex tape. Look what it did for Ray J. Ha!
