The wildly popular; "Your Love" which leaked in its unmastered form three months ago has gotten the green light for the new Nicki Minaj single. The song recently debuted at #97 on the R&B charts and this week it sits at #100. A video for the song is said to be shot really soon. Make sure you be on the look out for that. Lil' Kim has been pretty quiet on the music front give or take a few appearances here and there. Now I have learned that the rapper has signed with Violator Management(home of Mariah Carey and 50 Cent among others) to help resurrect her career. R.I.P to legend Lena Horne. The legend died yesterday. She was 92 years old and she was one of the first black women to play before an all white band. Lena Horne was definitely before my time and a lot of peoples. I do remember when she guest starred on "The Cosby Show". ---------------- Now playing: Blackstreet - black street - Money cant buy me love via FoxyTunes

Amerie went gold with her debut album; All I Have and just missed the mark with Touch . Touch was released in 2005 and features the hit single; 1 Thing . The title track was released as the second single and the video featured T.I. Amerie continues her work with producer Rich Harrison as the duo explore a somewhat darker sound sans the 1 Thing . Songs like the haunting Come With Me play on the darker melodic sound found here. Some of my favorite songs are Talkin' About, Rollin' Down My Face, Not The Only One, Come With Me, and Like It Used To Be . You will notice that the 98% of this album is uptempo save for the end where this a mid tempo song. The album is definitely worth checking out and it shows you why Amerie is an innovator and continues to be on the albums that followed this. ---------------- Now playing: Janelle Monáe - Locked Inside via FoxyTunes

Kelly Rowland hit us with "Like This" in the summer of 2007. It was the first single from her Ms. Kelly album. This is a really good video and Kelly looks amazing in it. Check it out!

Everyone was surprised when Beyonce released a new video for the single; "Why Don't You Love Me". People weren't surprised that the video dropped suspiciously as the same time as Kelly Rowland was releasing her "Commander" single. How many times has this happened now? How many times have Beyonce purposely stolen the spotlight from Kelly? Recently Kelly went on the defense regarding Beyonce and their relationship. So there is no truth to any sabotage but you can never be too sure. Maybe it's not Beyonce; maybe its Sony[Records] or maybe its Mathew Knowles.
